William J Morton Bird Sanctuary reviews
6A nice place to take a break, watch the ducks, and the water falls. Also a portable toilet there.
Truly a sanctuary! Our monthly trips to Pennsylvania always include stop here. This is a nice place to enjoy a snack, a cool drink and just relax. The birds, turtles and other wildlife can calm you instantly. The picnic table, and small necessities are very well maintained. I enjoy watching people who are occasionally fishing. I only wish I could bring my pole! It's lovely little place which could be passed by, so use your MapQuest and visit here. What a lovely area.
It's nice and quiet, but alot of traffic and it's right at an intersection. I see people fishing quite often. There is some grass areas to setup for a picnic and atleast one picnic table. The waterfall is great to sit by and listen too.
Nothing exciting, but the sound of the falls mixed with the passing Amish buggies is really peaceful on a nice day.
Peaceful and relaxing during the early morning and late night hours with plenty of birds, ducks, turtles, and frogs to see. Clean grounds with a few picnic tables and benches and a less disgusting than most porta-potty that actually has toilet paper stocked. But as it is located right off the shoulder of Stumptown Rd.at the Rt. 772 intersection (low-moderate traffic) it loses its tranquility after about 8am and I would not recommend allowing small children or a dog to run and play freely with the traffic.
Perfect little spot to fish, have a picnic or do some photography. There are open parking spaces for free and a few picnic tables. The waterfall is excellent for photos or a photo lesson. The stay is free and I don't believe there are hours when it is closed. This small park is free to the public. I do not know what types of fish can be caught here.
