Wine School of Philadelphia reviews
10My wife and I decided to try out the Wine School after hearing rave reviews from friends. We attended the 'Wines of Italy' class, and it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the instructors were both fun and informative. We're already looking at the calendar to book our next class!
I recently started the online program, and I'm blown away by the quality of the content. The bite-sized videos are perfect for my busy schedule, and I find myself eagerly waiting for the next module. Kudos to Alana and Keith for creating such an engaging platform for wine lovers.
The Wine School of Philadelphia is a gem! I've always been curious about wines, and this place exceeded my expectations. After attending just a couple of classes, I feel more confident in my wine choices. The instructors, especially Keith, have a way of making complex topics easy to grasp. Can't wait for my next class!
Becoming a Level 3 Sommelier has been one of the best experiences of my life. Both Keith and Alana share their deep knowledge of wine in a fun and engaging way. If you love wine, you will love their classes.
I have not been able to register for class, every time I attempt to they are filled. Additionally, the web site is not that well designed, I attempt to register for a class and it will not permit me to enter my membership. Probably will not renew
I took the accelerated L2 and L3 course this early August. As an educator, I really appreciate the curriculum design and content delivery of this course. The L2 portion was taught by Keith and L3 portion was taught by Alana.
Due to the condensed nature of the course, the L3 portion was packed with information. Alana had a clear outline of the course objective. She presented the information in a clear and logical manner, while making the learning fun. Through out the course, she emphasis the important concepts and provide studying tips to help us prepare for the exam. By the end of the course, I had a clear understanding of the essential wine knowledge I need to process to the next level in wine education.
The L2 portion of the course is largely experiential. Keith designed the activities specifically to break down the complex wine tasting attributes into smaller accessible pieces. The guided learning process is methodical and impactful.
Both Keith and Alana are exceptional teachers. The curriculum of the school is diverse with courses for every level of wine enthusiast. I look forward to taking more classes at the school.
NOTE: At the time this review, I have not passed the L2/L3 exam yet.
Outstanding learning opportunity for someone interested in wine. I feel very fortunate it's here in Philly, barely a mile from where I live. The instructors are world class, Keith also happens to be an exceptional wine maker. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to explore their offerings.
Completing the L2 and L3 sommelier programs at the Wine School of Philadelphia has been one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. Keith and Alana are amazing teachers, wonderful people! Their passion for wine and their dedication to teaching is evident in every class, making the learning experience truly enriching. While the quantity of information can seem daunting at first (You really do learn a lot!), the intimate, unique, and drama-free classroom atmosphere they foster allows for a truly enjoyable experience. Time seems to fly by! I'm astounded by the vast amount I've learned in such a short period, and I’m eagerly looking forward to taking the advance classes.
For anyone intrigued by wine and eager to learn more, I highly recommend signing up for classes at the Wine School of Philadelphia. It's the ideal place to learn from!
Very knowledgeable staff and enjoyable way to learn about wine. Setting is not great. No food. Limited ambience.
I strongly recommend the Wine School of Philadelphia to anyone with any degree of wine interest/knowledge. Few things in this life are truly fun and educational at the same time-but tastings at the Wine School of Philadelphia are! After taking a handful of classes, I was compelled to join the Wine School as a member. I eagerly look forward to members-only events and many more classes and tastings.
