Women's Animal Center reviews
39 The best dog in the whole world came from here. They were nice, it was easy.
Best dog ever!
Found a stray cat and they helped get it from my car. It was adopted out in less than a week. They are an awesome shelter!
They do a great job to make those beautiful animals feel loved. I wish I could give all those puppies a good home.
The doctor was a total jerk and threatened to keep our cat unless we paid some exorbitant fees.
Staff is friendly. The Vet was very nice. Explained everything that they were doing with our kitten.
Love this place! We found our forever friend here and we have used the vet service as well. I highly recommend this shelter if you're looking for a forever friend.
I adopted a cat from here, everyone was friendly, and I could tell that they love animals as much as I do.
The entire staff at the Women's Humane Society is very caring, nice and easy to deal with. I adopted my fur-baby from them and will continue to bring her there for the best care! Dr. Dickey is amazing and I couldn't be happier!
Am looking for a Siamese cat who has been neutered and declaw I am a disabled senior, age 74, I live alone and would love one for a companion. Preferably a male.
My husband decided to go here because we expected it to be a low income vet. We where dead wrong! You suspect a shelter to help get dogs adopted and help keep dogs healthly so families can keep there animals but that's just not the case! We pay far less at our regular vet. My husband came in because our dog refused to eat because my husband seizures. It ran over 200 dollars for a check up.
Don't come here.
We have been taking our pets to the women's Humane Society for years we have also adopted a few family friends along the way amazing staff and a great place to volunteer if you really love animals
Everyone there are friendly and very informed about the animals. Made getting our new Furbaby a wonderful experience.
Her name was Lulu, but it's Lucy now.
Overall they do great work, used to be my go-to place for donations and random visits to the animals. However, they would not take in an 8wk old stray kitten in perfect health because it was found 1 block out of their county. Unbelieveable. The shelter they wanted me to drive to was 45min away. I took it to a much nicer shelter and they accepted her with a smile and she was adopted within 3 days.
Adopted here 8 years ago. I still stop by to visit the animals. Clean, well kept Shelter. Ambient music seems to discourage anxiety & stress barking. It is always sad to see homeless pets, but they are working hard to get & keep them healthy, and into forever homes. Adoption fees are reasonable.
We found the newest addition to our family here. The people there were so friendly and helpful + the adoption process was so easy and non stressful that we have decided to go back to adopt a brother or sister for our cat Elwood. The volunteers there treat all animals like they are their own
Great place to bring home a new little buddy or a new friend. They are a no kill shelter and actually help the animals. I wanted to adopt quite a few:)
I would never recommend anybody to go here for veterinary services may be to adopt but that's about it. So many times I have called there and they won't even answer the phone let alone return my phone call until I left numerous messages and emails. When I finally went there with my little kitten I had to pay out the Wazoo just to have him evaluated for declawing in which was definitely necessity considering he was and still is tearing up my old female cat.when I went back to have him declawed they told me that the doctor that was doing it no longer work there so I was out of luck after the fact I had already paid for a free evaluation they did offer me anything back or no apologies they are aholes!
I had my first cat for less than a week when he developed an eye infection. So I panicked. I tried to take him to PAWS but without an appointment they refused to see him and the earliest appointment was two or three weeks later. I could not let my poor little kitty suffer. My friends suggested women's Humane Society, I called them around 8: 30 and by 10 I had an appointment for Kitty he was seen promptly and treated promptly. The facility was nice and clean everyone was very friendly and helpful. So I will probably keep taking him there
Absolutely love this place and have been bringing my guinea pigs to their vet who is knowledgeable, and their pricing for services are affordable and easy to work with. However, the one and only reason I didn't give this a 5-star review, is because, for the past week and a half, I have been trying to call to schedule an appointment for a checkup and have been met with an answering machine (no option to leave a voicemail) each time. Unfortunately, as much as I didn't want to, I was forced to call another vet and schedule the appointment there.
