Woodcock Animal Clinic reviews
9We had a terrible experience with this vet when my elder golden retriever was in distress. Long story, but my golden was needing emergency care, I called the vet office to get some insight of what we should do. Woodcock answering service said well we paged the doctor, and then hung up. I called back 30 minutes later, they rudely said ma’am we paged the doctor already! And proceeded to hang up on me while my dog was groaning in pain in the background. The vet called me back a few hours later and said there was nothing he could do tonight take him to Erie. (Northwest PA emergency pet center, in Erie is wonderful!) Which we did and we ended up having to lay him to rest that night. When I was shaking and crying over my dog, woodcock animal clinic was not there for me.
I absolutely LOVE Woodcock Animal Clinic! The staff is wonderful, always! But I have to point out when I've had emergencies with my dogs, and I can think of 3 or 4 times off the top of my head, that they always get me in on the same day and take care of my fur babies! I would highly recommend them! Thank you!
Not impressed. After providing a detailed description of my dog’s heartworm history they erroneously tested her for tapeworms and told me she was all clear (I later determined she was not clear of HEARTworms). They blamed me for asking for a “heartworm test” instead of their technical name for it and refused to refund me for the test they performed in error (I’m not professionally trained so I didn’t know the technical name for the test.).
Because they cleared her, they prescribed preventative meds that would have done more damage. After I discovered she couldn’t take what they provided, they would not allow me to return the unused, unopened box of meds for a refund.
Refused end of life care because I had not been in to see them with the animal in 15 years. The animal has, thankfully, been healthy all that time. So my pet doesn't deserve treatment because it hasn't needed treatment until now?
Absolutely grateful of the veterinarian in this facility. He is polite and answers questions. Great bedside manners with the pets.
Such caring staff. My sick kitty was made better again. Doc had been my vet of choice for over 18 years. Highly recommend! ️
The staff are friendly and the vet is absolutely fantastic! Prices are reasonable as well. Wonderful place!
Thanks Scott! Helped out older cat get on thyroid medicine and now we call him Hypothylloyd rather than Lloyd
We love the care our pets receive here. We always get direction and guidance when we call with an emergency.
