Woodland Campground reviews
16Cant wait to visit. My wife and I recently purchased our 5th RV from a dealer in Ohio. We needed to place to stay the night as a halfway point. Woodland Campground was the halfway point for this trip. Lisa the owner was vey accommodating and pleasant to speak with over the phone. She also still at times goes on the honor system and reserves the site with the option of pre paying or just paying once the camper arrives. The pictures of the campground look really nice and relaxing. I'm excited to visit and make a connection for future stays. Also this will be memorablem as this will be the first time we sleep and camp in our brand new fifth wheel.
Wonderful little campground has a little bit of everything grandson love the playground
laundromat restrooms are immaculate
campsites are really nice and tidy easy pull through all accommodations are available 2nd time we're there looking forward to going back again
This is a great place to stay for a short stay. The owners really care about the property and it makes a huge difference. Sites were level, WiFi was great, campground was very clean. We would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Woodland Campground! We stayed at site 49, tucked away; landscaping was beautiful and gave us some seclusion. Mike and Lisa are so very kind and accommodating; Mike helped my husband ensure our TT was backed in carefully into the site and Lisa is very responsive and prompt to our requests. Our family enjoyed quiet hours especially since we have two children and this rule is enforced! The grounds are very well maintained and clean; dog park is well kept. We will certainly be back! Thank you Mike and Lisa for a peaceful & enjoyable weekend with our family!
Woodland Campground was quiet, beautiful, well spaced out, extremely clean, and provided all necessary supplies. They had a great place to do laundry and wash dishes. Owners Mike and Lisa were friendly. Playground equipment was solid. It was our favorite campground on our recent camping trip and we will definitely be staying there again. Highly recommended!
We stayed at Woodland Campground for 6 nights, and it was a wonderful experience! The owners were helpful from reservations to departure. We drive a 42-ft Class A, towing a car on a tow-dolly, and we had no problem getting in and getting out. There are walking paths through the woods as well as a beautiful pond for fishing. It's rustic yet has everything you would need. We will be back!
Just wrapped our holiday weekend at Woodland Campground and it was a blast! Great environment for the family and plenty to do there. For a busy holiday weekend, the campground was quiet and very relaxing. Mike and Lisa run a great campground and are extremely helpful and accommodating. The campground has easy access off of I-80, which was great being that we were pulling a large trailer. If I could give a higher rating, I would. I encourage anyone in the area of Woodland Campground, or just passing through, to check this place out. We look forward to our next visit!
CAMPERS WITH CHILDREN BE CAUTIOUS!
We were passing through for the evening and only stayed one night. Our site was level as other reviewers have said. The owners were pleasant as well…at first. Once we arrived our children were by the picnic table playing next to what appeared to be a birch tree. They peeled some of the bark off to play with and nothing more. We packed up and left early the next morning. Halfway through our day we received this email:
The $30 charge is for damage done to the site you occupied 8/29 - 30/2022. We were advised by other nearby campers this morning that they had witnessed your children peeling the bark off and breaking a tree limb at your site last evening. As was explained at check-in, a fee will be charged if damage is done to your site. We have documented the damage to the tree and will email you the pictures if you would like to see them. I'm disappointed to have to send this email to you, but given the damage done to the tree it is possible it won't survive and we will be forced to purchase and plant a replacement.
If you have any questions please call or email me.
Respectfully,
Lisa Harpster
Lisa never gave us the courtesy to call before charging our card for the “damage” to their tree. There was no signage stating that the tree is fragile, please do not touch. After receiving this email, I called to rectify the issue. Lisa was apologetic about not calling beforehand but firm in her belief that we damaged their property. I have never in our many years of camping experienced something like this. We have asked repeatedly for pictures as they offered to provide and we still haven’t received them. If you stay here please know what has happened to us to prevent it happening to you. We feel scammed out of our money for something so trivial. No one in our family destroyed property nor did they damage any tree limb. I highly doubt our $30 will be used to “repair” or “replace” the tree. If you stay at site #22 enjoy the new/repaired tree. Best of luck.
The campground is well kept and family friendly as advertised. Our kids enjoyed the playground, sandbox, and lake. I would definitely plan on revisiting the campground if our travels bring us in this direction again.
This rv park was very nice and peaceful. Very nice dog park. Good walking trails Good location easy access. Thanks for a nice stay.
Very nice, clean campground for all ages. They have tails for the hikers. A catch an release pond for the fisherman. A good stock store. The owners very friendly an helpful. The sites are mowed once a week.
I'm currently on my second road trip across the country and can say I've stayed at quite a few places. With that being said this is one of the best places I've stayed at. Although there are some downsides to every campground, I'm going to give these guys five stars just based on the grounds and how quiet the place is. The lake and hiking trails around the property are beautiful. It really made for an nice evening to unwind and get the dogs out for walks. I'll stay again if I'm ever back through the area.
Very nice campground. We just spent a week here. Would highly recommend camping here. The owners are really nice and their campground is beautiful. Very quiet.
Good overnight only campground
Scenic area
Hiking trail
On-site owners were helpful
For longer than overnight the Sites are extremely close together. Many pull-thrus are “buddy sites” but they state online: “We will stagger campers that are not "buddy camping" so you each have your own space” but this really wasn’t possible since the utilities aren’t staggered. We had app. 14’ of shared space. We had no outdoor privacy.
No cable, as stated online, but there were only 4 public service Air channels.
We had a lot of iron/rust in our water.
Very nice little campground. It was SO quiet at night. We slept like babies. The owners were very nice. You can tell they care about their park and their guests. Many seasonals but kept very tidy sites and seemed very nice. We would stay here again.
Awesome campground. Nice level gravel sites, some shaded some full sun. Owners are super nice, will take you to your site and help you get settled into your spot. It is a quiet campground with a large walk around wooded trail through the woods down to a creek very pretty walk. Catch and release pond, playground, pet run and planned activities. We came down from Upstate NY and campground was very easy to find, good road signage. We reserved site 32 a premium pull through spot which hands down in our opinion a fantastic site that is spacious with a very nice view of the woods. We would camp here again.
