Woodmere Apartments

I just read on the Phila.police report that 2 cars were stolen from 8200 Henry in the last few days.

Have lived at Woodmere Apartments for many years. The office staff are always courteous and helpful. Maintenance is superb (especially Chris). Never had an issue that wasn’t addressed. Great location, convenient to shopping and public transportation.

I lived in the apartment at Woodmere for 3 years. It was a place I considered home for a long while until we found a house. They are very pet friendly and I had no issues with the neighbors. They send out monthly newsletters with events, which was very nice. The AC worked great in the summer! The location of the apartment building was perfect! It was within distance from cvs and the local grocery store.

We lived here for 2.5 years and had to leave the country. Linda was excellent to deal with, maintenance guys (especially Chris) were very professional and any issues we had were taken care of fast.
The only complaint we had was the old windows that let cold air in, but they were upgraded for all apartments; so not an issue anymore.
We loved living there.

This place is nothing but a joke! I was paying $1423 for a one bedroom shoebox apartment. I had 2 leaks that were never fixed properly. I also had a bee problem for months that all the maintenance man did was plug the hole which made the situation worse. All the money I paid in rent I had to handle the bee situation by myself. I would never recommend anyone to live here it’s a disgrace how they manage this place. Give your hard earned money to someone else!

Woodmere is a great apartment community. The apartments are solid, well-built brick, and mine came freshly painted, as they are for every tenant. If quiet is a priority, it is worth going for the buildings set off a bit from Henry. I have met many friendly neighbors and the staff are super nice and helpful. Linda, the property manager, is the best. I would strongly recommend.

Once upon a time there was a place called Woodmere Apartmwnts and a lady name Tashina shahrtash Sr. Leasing specialist along with the property manager Linda Golden who are just beyond words, extremely professional and kind. Tashina made my move in process so easy. My unit is gorgeous. You will feel like you are on a Resort in Florida. I strongly urge anyone apartment shopping to consider checking out Woodmere Apartmwnts if your lucky enough to grab a unit, again this is a great place to call home many activities, shops fitness center, pools, bar and grill and so much to enjoy. I do not recommend living here. You can hear your neighbors argue if they live above you and packages are always stolen. I’ve lost 4 packages living here and it’s ridiculous!

My girlfriend and I lived for 4 years here only because my girlfriend works at the navyard and doesn't drive. The washer and dryers keep breaking down. The cable is Hotwire which keeps going out and you need to call to have someone to come out. This happens at lease 5 times a year. Your rent goes up every year. They are always shutting off your water to work on it. Find another place to live.

I think the community is great. I’m kinda sad I won’t be able to rent there. Anyway do not handle your renting with Linda. She does anything to get people to want to rent with the community then changes pricing once you say yes. She needs to be fired

Update: she called me to comment about the review, how unprofessional. Then hung up the phone. Poor representation of the summit park management.

We just moved into Woodmere two weeks ago. Yesterday night there was a water leak from the ceiling. I put up a maintenance request early in the morning. As soon as the office opened, around 9am the guy shows up and fixes it. That is very prompt. Impressed with the service.

The prices is a little steep, especially on teacher pay, but is conveniently located near public transport and shopping (groceries). Buy a water filter, and never drink water straight from the tap. My building is plagued with water issues and has had water shut off approximately every other month.

Last comment: Leasing office is predatory! They are purposely unclear and deceptive in order to generate hidden fees for the lease holder. Beware.

This November made my first year at the Woodmere apt. I must say I love my cozy one bedroom. It's large enough for me with a huge walk in 'like' pantry, linen closet, coat closet and nice size bedroom closet. My outdoor living space adds to the comfort and space. I get my BBQ grilling on in the summer with steps away from the pool. The location is PERFECT! Bus stops are right at the corners, CVS is right across the street and mall within walking distance. The club house activities are the bomb. I took an exercise class yesterday and then enjoyed 'Taco Tuesday. ' LOL.
If I had to name a con, it would be the $30 annual rent increase and the broken dryer in the laundry area that needs to be replaced. Other than that, I know I made the right choice and hope you do too.
