Humble place, but great service and food! Quiet - perfect if you want to chill or hangout with your friends

This place forces 20% gratuity if you eat in which removes my choice to tip what I want which I don't like at all. They paint it as a positive but it's forces, who wants that?

No refills on any drink.

There are only two tables so the place is stuffy as it is.

We ordered out but the food just wasn't that good.

The building had an old, musty smell. The fried rice was overly sweet, and the Tom Yum noodle soup was surprisingly tasteless. We had to scrutinize every detail of the bill because they seemed to charge for every little thing. In the end, we left without leaving a tip due to the subpar service and overcharging. We decided not to return, so we didn't confront them about the charges. However, we later discovered that they added a 20% service charge to our bill without our signature or approval. We initially signed for $66.25, but our bank statement showed a total of $80.31, indicating an unapproved 20% upcharge after we had already left.

Replied: You used our credit card information to charge extra after we left, which is tantamount to theft. We believed we paid for what we had ordered, not realizing you were overcharging us without our consent. While you may have your own policy to upcharge, it's essential that such charges are clearly indicated on the receipt, which was not the case in this instance.

There are too many rules. You can only order one entree or two appetizers. Also there's a surcharge so they do not allow you to leave your desired tip. The place was empty except for us four. And then there were two other patrons that came in while we were there. Years ago, the place was packed. You had to wait for a table. They are hurting themselves by all these rules because the food is pretty good. We have patronized this place for many years but this will be the last time going there. The time before that which was probably 4 months ago or so you could only stay at your table for a certain amount of time. Another rule. Not good.

Charged extra for dining in, charged extra for taking home leftovers, charged extra for using a credit card. Good food
but won't be back.

I was visiting from out of town looking for vegan food.some of the menu items were ones i've never seen before but sounded delicious.we shared the pumpkin empanadas, the fried taro roll/bites, vegan fried rice, and panang curry. EVERYTHING was wonderful, spiced well, flavorful, good quality.portion sizes were perfect for sharing.also, the coconut milk thai tea was perfectly sweet.must try for vegan food.

Im literally the only one sitting in the restaurant with my 2 year old granddaughter. We are waiting for a $35 to go order. I asked if we could have a glass of ice water (tap water) as we wait. I was told NO. I had to buy a water because our order was to go. There were 1/2 empty glasses of water on the counter from previous customers. The young lady said “water not free”. She’s literally in the back shouting at the top of her voice… for the duration of preparing our food and adds a big yell “Nothing is Free Here! ”
I’m new to the area & this place is 2 blocks from my house. I have been here several times to eat in & take out. I will drive across town for Thai for now on…anywhere but here.
For being a small business that struggles like everyone else, you would think trying to keep paying customers coming back to your establishment would be your #1 goal. It was a request for tap water. I’m sorry, it’s a food industry “no brainer”! It was just a poor professional choice.

Food was great. Seemed like there was only two people working when we went. One up front and one cooking. There were six of us, and we were there about two hours. Overall great if you don't mind the wait!

7 of us (4 adults and 3 children) went here for lunch today. The drinks were so good (the Thai tea with milk is delicious), and the food was amazing. They have a wide variety of Thai food (including vegan and vegetarian food) and we order several appetizers and entrees. Not one complaint- even from my kids! The server was very attentive and sweet. I only wish we didn’t live 2 hours away so we could come more often.

The waitress was so rude we couldn’t stay to try the food. She charged us $5 to use the restroom after we refused to stay to eat because she wanted to charge my daughter $10 for being in a bottle of water. The restaurant smelled moldy and run down, and paint was chipping off the wall and ceiling. Started to yell at me because I told her I am leaving after she said “you need to pay me $10 for outside water”. Then proceed to demanded my mom to pay $5 for using the restroom. So glad to be out of there.

Extremely tasty food bursting with flavor! I will absolutely go back again to try more dishes. The egg fried rice had a sweet and salty taste, and the Thai soups were customizable. We dined in and the single waitress did very well managing her time. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Very enjoyable!

They have numerous vegan options (vegan rolls, dumplings, fried tofu, vegan fried rice), which are very tasty! The fried tofu had a nice texture, the sauces were good, the rolls were delicious, and overall I have no complaints. What I ate was ordered online, too, and there was no trouble with the delivery process either. I'm excited to have leftovers to eat:)

My family loves this place we are regulars here and have never had a problem the owner knows us well solely of off coming here at least once my mom is known as miss Jenn of just Jenn the restaurant’s atmosphere is welcoming and cozy we have never had a problem with the food quality of quantity the price fits the portion and quality of the food the other people on here talking about not friendly and not kid friend I would like you to read her sign that states if your rude you must leave everyone who says that this place is bad is lying this is my favorite restaurant in York please don’t think of these reviews I’m seeing as what it is come with an open mind and you will not be displeased

Many vegan and vegetarian choices. Got carryout. Loved the pumpkin empanada and the taro coconut appetizer. Those were both unique and absolutely delicious. We also got the lemongrass soup with tofu - which was good but a little salty. The penang tofu was out of this world. Would definitely go back when we're in York.
