Wright's Orchard Station reviews
18Hidden Gem! This campground is smaller and located behind the owner’s self storage buildings. But you would think you’re out in the middle of the woods. Large trees all around, only about 30 campsites. Excellent WiFi, strong phone signal. Near to everything you need, Walmart only one mile away. We loved being “hidden” but close to everything. Onsite showers and laundry are super clean. Highly recommend!
Small and friendly. Close drive to canoe creek state park. Clean bath houses. Enjoyed our time there.
Small, well-maintained campground with immaculately clean bathrooms. Sites are a little small, not much on-site activity for kids; but location is convenient to the area.
We stayed at the campground and it was very nice. Very quiet, very clean well maintained, and the sites we were given were perfect for our family. Would highly recommend this campground for this traveling to our through the Altoona area.
Small campground easy to get into, getting people. Sites are close together but not bad for an overnight stay or two. Easy access to the highway and close by stores
Ok. Difficult to find, so check directions sent with reservation info. Sites on hill, so need to add blocks to make RV relatively flat. Shade. Nice folks
This is a small campground south of Altoona, in Duncansville, PA. This hidden gem is the perfect location to visit when wanting to hit some favorite downtown spots! Go to the Curves game, Enjoy one of the oldest wooden side friction roller coasters, enjoy lakemont community park with skyliner roller coaster, and go carts. Spend the day at DelGrosso. Go to the pretzel factory and many other local attractions. Or you could just spend a enjoyable quiet night around the campfire roasting marshmallows for some s'mores.
The owner, Nellie is easy to talk to and works hard to accommodate as much as possible. The bathroom is always clean and much nicer than other campgrounds. The place has many flowers around and very well kept. The firewood is dry and starts quickly. Worth the price
One of the many reasons I like this campground is because it is not up next to the road. Making it a bit more quiet and when you are camping you don't feel like you are that close to town. Also really close to Walmart and Sam's club if you forgot anything (less than a mile).
We visit this campground yearly for family events and look forward to returning each year.
You can contact by phone or email.
Very nice place can find all yout looking for staff waits if you have? And they greet you with smiles nice place i tell all my family and friends
Conveniently located campground (in town but back from the street) with a limited number of small sites. Dogs are welcome but really not much space to walk them. We didn't use any of the facilities, but I trust they are in nice shape based on how well-kept the rest of the park is. Our RV site w/ water, electric, sewer, and cable was fine. Landscaping very nice, I really enjoyed looking at the flowers as I walked our dogs. Owners live on-site, are helpful, and were very accommodating to us when we had special requests. We'll definitely be going back the next time we need to stay in the area. I would give this place 5 stars but for the small sites and lack of areas to walk dogs.
Very quiet shade park. The bathrooms and showers are spotless, will b defenatly stay there again. Owners are great and helpful
They have been discriminating against us since we got here. They think we're homeless. We lost our van and moterhome to mechanical failure on the way here so we were quite miserable. Also, I was just bitten by a Copperhead. I am not going to correct them. Discrimination is illegal and immoral. We asked for a week and the owner said loudly and clearly, "They can't just live here". Live here!? We had already paid for the storage building or I would have just walked out. They accused my 7 hear old girl of flooding the bathroom, tearing up the bamboo and stealing the cheap little marbles out of the fake flowers! She is never out of our sight and she would not do any of that. There were lots of other kids around. They have stopped cleaning the bathrooms because they think we are the only ones who use them. We are not. There has poop on the toilet seat for three straight days. They are VERY concerned that tents will kill the grass in the tent sites. Really? There is grass but also rocks and a very hard, bumpy ground. Tent pads would be great. Probably cheaper than refusing to rent the site to save the grass. They complain to us if the bathroom light is left on! We paid well over 300 to stay here. Plus 60 a month for the storage building. This place is a death trap after it rains. There is slick mud and slick steps.
I brought my 5 young children and my daughter's service dog here. Nellie was very kind and pleasant. I was traveling without another adult so she was also kind enough to direct me into my 50 amp spot with my 35 ft travel trailer. She is wonderful! The children played outside all evening with the service dog. Very clean and conveniently located. Our family will be back.
Great place to stay, friendly people, close to everything you might need, awesome and clean facilities.
Such A grt place very well kept and owners r very very nice absolutely pleased with overall experience.
This was the worst campground my family has ever been to. The owner only greeted us to reprimand us for a leash she felt was too long. She never said even a hello, and her demeaning condescending mannerisim was a horrible attribute to this campground. The bathrooms were clean, there were signs posted to shut off lights and there was no talking after 11. The community was such as a click of seniors. We would have appreciated knowing this prior to our stay and would have chosen an under 65 campground for our family. I give one star for a tidy bathroom, which doesnt mean didly if you dont have nice owners.
Worse campground we've been to. I gave it two stars for the convenient location. They squeezed as many sites as they could on a small piece of land. It is very tight and somewhat challenging to get into your space (especially in terrible weather). To start off, we were greeted by Nellie who was quite rude and abrasive. I suggest that the owners specify in their confirmation email that the check-in location is at a storage unit facility in front of the campground instead of at the actual campground. Their WiFi was sub par.kept cutting out. The sewer & electrical are too far apart. We had to adjust our travel trailer to accommodate both since we were changed to a 50 amp site and an extension cord won't work in that scenario. We will not be back.
Good storage sheds but there is a lack of drainage that leads to flooding. Other than that it's a great storage area.
Close to town and shopping, and convenient to all railroad attractions! Back from the main road, this quiet, hill-side camp has small, cozy spots. All amenities, full hook-up. Clean bathrooms and laundry room.
