Wyndham Garden Pittsburgh Airport

No hot water was available for the last 48 hours of our stay. They says it was due to a boiler issue and shut down any conversation about it. Nothing was offered to us as a way to compensate for this huge inconvenience. There was no showering in ice cold water. No partial refund, nothing.
We had hair stuck to the ceiling in our bathroom and also cockroaches in our room.
Grab and go breakfast is less than impressive. I don’t categorize cereal and milk as grab and go.
Would not stay here again and don’t recommend.
It says airport in the name but that’s misleading. It’s about 6 miles away from the airport and located in what feels like a deserted industrial area.

Spacious clean room, but property could use some updating. Quick trip to the airport and the right price.

Our bathroom was a little dirty. Towels were very soft. Hubby loved the pillows. Kinda hard to find.

I stay in hotels for work 300 plus days a year and regularly use priceline to book my rooms. This little kid at the desk says he needs to call priceline and Confirm my prepaid reservation which is abslotle nonsense and now I've been standing at this front desk for 30+ minutes after working 14hrs and my dinner getting ice cold. I would highly recommend going elsewhere or paying direct to hotel at their outrageous price unless you have hours to spare standing at the desk getting your time wasted.

The bar/restaurant is closed rooms are average front desk is friendly. Good place to stay if you have an early morning flight

Nicely maintained, friendly staff. This hotel is tucked away - hard to find! But once you find it, it’s a very good value!

This hotel is definitely worth the price if you’re just visiting over the weekend. The staff were great but there are definitely things that it felt it was lacking. The breakfast had a great selection of cereal and even had branded milk and juice, but they didn’t have any eggs the two nights we stayed there. I thought it was a missed opportunity there. They also had the pool closed which was a bummer since the weather still felt nice and warm. The location is pretty decent, 8 ish minutes to some nice shopping/eating locations but it did feel weird driving around at night because it feels like it’s own little hiding spot. They also didn’t clean our room when we were out all day and we didn’t put any signs out our door or any Anything. One of the staff also thought we were only there for one night when they knocked on our door around 6pm (maybe because we booked online through a third party? Who knows). All these cons I’m mentioning will not sway my rating much mainly because it was so reasonably priced. Plus, we were barely at the hotel anyway and we left satisfied. Final statement, add eggs to your breakfast and it will definitely feel way worth the stay!

Yikes.know this- they will use a key and come in and rifle through when you're not home (even in the evening long past cleaning hours). We had a good amount of cash stolen. Not enough that we will pursue in small claims court even with the camera we left in the room. Assuming that staffperson who took it needs it more than we do- but just know that that occured and that we know. Staff were pretty rude outside of that experience and the breakfast barely even had cream cheese for the bagels. Bed was comfy.

This was my go to hotel before Covid because of the location to the airport. This is the first time I’ve stayed there in 2 years and I feel that was the last time it was cleaned. The dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in places 1/2 of the price. My room door wasn’t shut when I checked in, the carpet was covered in chip crumps, the bathroom covered in dirt and hair. There was someone’s take out still in the fridge. When I went to use my room key it didn’t work, got another one and it didn’t work. The breakfast at checkout is cereal and milk and if you have to use the bathroom outside of your room too bad because all the public bathrooms are out of order. Using the bathroom in your room is a risk in itself because the toilet overflowed on the first flush. My view was the pool and parking lot covered in trash and bar and restaurant are permanently closed with no more shuttle to airport however the website does not reflect these changes.

Avoid this hotel. My family reserved 2 hotel rooms for the night and we ended up experiencing the worst customer service. My wife found roaches behind the refrigerator amd we reported the issue to the hotel representative. We simply requested a refund, but they denied our request and I asked for a manager. The representative handed over her personal phone for me to speak with the manager and nothing was accomplished. We ended up discovering more than 20 roaches crawling behind the refrigerator. The lack of care from the hotel manager about the safety factor involving my family in which we had 2 infants and 5 year old with us. Here is some additional downfalls of the hotel there is no parking lot lights, the rooms have stains everywhere, the exterior doors are completely open to the public and the badge reader doesn't work for those doors. We're simply going to corporate.

The other people reviewing this must never staying in a hotel before. It’s very clean. Nice workers and everything works as it should. Air conditioner is just as loud as any are, not like stated before. They are on the middle of doing some renovations so they are making it better. Only down side was the breakfast wasn’t the best, had very little to offer.

I am not a fan of businesses using big name brands and then not delivering. This building should not be called a Wyndham anything, let alone garden, if by garden you mean the overgrown weeds in the broken pool then.sad. As we followed directions into a sketchy entrance the road and surroundings deteriorated rapidly, making this out of towner very uncomfortable. Upon check in, nothing worked, broken pool, broken elevator, nasty carpets and we even haven't made it to the room. I have never walked in and walked right back out of a room that smelled and had nasty carpets, didn't even take the time to look in the bed or bathroom. We had seen enough. We are not picky, this place should not be called anything but a seedy hotel. The receptionist was delightful and helped us cancel our stay.

Avoid at all costs if you care about your safety! None of the external doors have locks or access cards on them - they are all just propped open with rocks. Half of the parking lot was pitch black without a single light, which is unsafe and scary for people traveling alone. The parking lot was full of craters and looked like it needed to be repaved 20 years ago. The whole hotel was not very clean. The carpets were sticky (?) in our room, the air was very musty smelling, and it did not look clean over all. Lots of bugs in various places as well. Spend extra money for peace of mind and safety and go elsewhere.

Had the unfortunate opportunity to stay here. Booked in a pinch without many other options available at the time. Staff is nice enough, but that’s the only nice thing I can say. This location is so bad I will hesitate to stay in a Wyndham ever again. Seems that the management is doing the absolute bare minimum to keep the lights on. By far the most decrepit and filthy hotel I have ever stayed in. Trash was left in the room and dirty, moldy bathroom from a previous guest, and the most of the white towels had a yellow hue to them. The room smelled like horse manure, truly such a unique and unpleasant smell in a hotel room. Thank god the air conditioning worked to slightly mask the smell. I slept on top of the comforter, because judging by the condition of the bathroom linens, I can’t imagine the bed was much cleaner. The lamp was crooked and had a broken lampshade. Every surface was dusty, greasy, or covered in fingerprints. Dirty windows. Disgusting stains on the furniture. The pool is in disrepair and unused. Parking in the rear of of the building has absolutely no nighttime illumination. Annoying at best, at worst potentially very dangerous, especially for an elderly person/those with disabilities. The “renovations” are simply putting lipstick on a pig. Yes, there seems to be new wallpaper and carpet, but judging by the stains, scuffs, and smells, one would never guess. Outside of the building is filthy and depressing, trash is strewn about, the landscaping is overgrown, and it is in a very strangely secluded location. Not in a good way, very much in a “call for help and no one will hear you” type of way. It’s located on the back end of an industrial park next to the interstate, so no other people close by.
Auxiliary exterior entrances were left unlocked all night. The parking lot has some massive potholes forming right by the main entrance. Management does not seem to care about any of this, considering the endless amount of one and two-star reviews I’ve found online and their “one size fits all” generic “we appreciate your feedback” responses. Unless something markedly improves, run and spend your money anywhere else.

Not a lot of workers. Couldn’t get change of sheets till the morning… no vending machines, no ice machines… no breakfast.everything they say they have they don’t.the gym might be the best thing going. Toilet dirty and bottles under my bed from the ppl before me… smh

I don’t have anything bad to say. My room was fine and clean. Big room, king size bed, microwave, mini fridge and tv. For breakfast they gave cold cereal, fruit, muffin, orange juice, coffee and bagel’s. There is also a fitness room

1st room they gave me was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY! Countertops looked like they had never been wiped off, bed linens dirty, toilet wouldn't flush, refrigerator and microwave had not been wiped off. 2nd room at least the countertops had been wiped off, the toilet was stained, the door to the room had filth inside and outside, paper towel or tissue still on floor from who knows when. Toiletries were half used and left for the next guest. Garbage at the main entrance overflowing onto the ground. Clearly there are no standards of cleanliness, hygiene, or safety at this establishment. Doors leading into the hotel from darker back areas did not need keycard to access. If you value sanitation or safety DO NOT STAY HERE!

When my go to hotel was booked I was more than happy to try this place out. Cheap. Close to the airport. I was horrified from the beginning. First of all the gps address in the confirmation address is wrong (it’s Coriopolis not Pittsburgh). The property is tucked back in, hard to find. When I get there the parking lot and property both could use some tlc, the front desk associate was nice enough. The crowd was shady, the smell was awful, and the room….

First off there were bugs in both the bathroom and the closet. Dead… yes. Did that comfort me? Not much. The heat had two settings: on and loud or off. There was a candy wrapper in the floor (not mine). There was wifi, but I wasn’t given the code. The outlet covers were missing or broken, the curtains were barely able to cover the windows. The tv worked…. That was a life saver. It was late so I didn’t leave I just slept in my clothes on the bed with my jacket over the pillow and left as soon as I could in the morning. I refused to use the shower because truly I wasn’t even close to comfortable enough to unclothe. Plus it took 5 minutes for the sink to run hot water so I didn’t wanna chance the shower anyways. Spend the extra $50 and go somewhere else.

At the hotel was very nice but the taxi to never showed and they said they had a shuttle bus to the airport which they don't let motel did not change their shuttle bus routine online they say they have shuttle but they did not almost did not make it to the airport I wanted you be on time
