get their spicy hot beef noodle! 10/10 recommend! Owners are so sweet and they been struggling over Covid pls support them!?
I walked in and ordered the oil noodles. The woman next to me ordered the exact same thing and got a nearly full bowl which I thought was very odd. I looked at the other people seated in the restaurant. They have gigantic bowls of food as well. My takeout food was less than half full. Also, the meat is very very strange. I’m not sure it’s beef. I decided to do a little test. I got my friend to go ahead inside and order the oil noodles to go. He goes in and get it and comes out. I go ahead in and order the same thing and literally got less than half a bowl, while it was full. Very bizarre. I kind of felt like I was being discriminated against. That’s all I’m gonna say about that.
I always get the tendon skeweres and the tendon and tripe udon soup and it always comes out perfect I love it!
I tried the liang pi 凉皮 here a few years ago and just now tried the oil sprinkled noodles 油泼面. Both came in really short for me compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area - the liang pi was watery and didn't have enough vinegar for me. The oil noodles were okay but they didn't really have any discernible chili or garlic, it seemed like it was just black vinegar and soy sauce with oil mixed in. It was just a dull brown color. The first time I went in person and thought the cashier was pretty rude, but the second time I ordered online so they may be long gone.
I really wanted to like this place because I thought it was neat to have a place specializing in Xi'An food, but it just doesn't quite hit the mark in my opinion.
Ordering was simple, just used a device. Once order was complete I was handed the food/the food was also placed in a pick up area. The service is good, you just get in and out. Difficult to talk to employees, that’s totally OK. Food itself was good. A bit basic tho, but still good. I’d get food there again.
I got fatty beef udon. Meat was tender. Broth was refreshing and mellow. Noodles were also very good. Customer service was okay, just some small language issue.
It was authentic but not authentic at the same time- Portions are great, broth is nice. Liangpi noodles are good even though they’re also not exactly authentic (light spicy sauce made with a hint of peanut butter instead of red chili oil). The “soup-filled dumplings” are actually pork buns so the menu could use a quick edit.
My favorite chinese food place in state college. Hand pulled beef oil noodles are delicious!
Horrible food. Tried twice. The quality of the beef in the noodle was the worse I ate in my life in the Chinese restaurant. Definitely not a good choice for Chinese food, even just a try.
I've ordered the hand pulled noodles twice from grubhub. It's absolutely delicious.
My favorite Chinese restaurant in state college. Very authentic. I would recommend trying the oil sprinkled noodles or Liang Pi.
Ramen was spaghetti noodles and junk chicken in water and mushy vegetables. 0/5 should be an option.
The hand-pulled noodles are delicious and authentic.definitely recommend getting those or the liang pi!
