Yakitori Boy reviews
20This has always been one of my fav places to eat. The food price is awesome. It range from 2$ and up. They have good sushi. I also tried the Saki, and it was amazing.
Every server I've had there has been top-notch, and the yakitori skewers are worth being the namesake of this place. I also recommend the okonomiyaki. The drinks are standard fare. You're unlikely to find a friendlier, tastier place in Chinatown - or Center City in general!
I wish I had taken pictures! The skewers are a little small, but the price matches it. I tried the chicken, chicken liver, eggplant, shrimp and rib eye skewers, and the seasoning was amazing! My girlfriend and I both had dessert (Mille crepe vanilla and green tea shortcake) and they were also amazing. The staff were incredibly professional, throwing suggestions and being helpful. I'd gladly visit Yakitori Boy again.
I was surprised at how well this place emulates the menu of a Japanese izakaya. Definitely the closest you can get to Japanese fare in Philly.
Good spot for karaoke. The machines seem a bit old but work just fine. You can order food and drinks for delivery to the room which is nice and allows the party to keep on going. I'd recommend it for groups of around 10 people.
Food was fantastic and the rooms were clean and quite soundproof. My only disappointment was the lack of Japanese selection in the karaoke machine. For a place that focuses on Japanese food and entertainment, I was surprised that they didn't have much to choose from.
You can find way more affordable places to sing that let you sit down. Service has always been spotty but they're rude now too. If you get a private room its great.
Great spot for friends of 4-6 to group up and sing! Food was delicious though some may not be on the menu so ask ahead of time just in case you have to order something else.they were nice and extended our karaoke time to make sure I wasn't rushed out after getting my food.
Coming to the stage!
Had a great time at Yakitori boy in philly. Attended a birthday gathering. We reserved a private room and its sound proofed and has selections for karaoke. We enjoyed a few hours of appetizers, drinks and song after song of our choosing. It was a very nice experience.
Nice variety of reasonably priced Asian dishes, sake and cocktails.
You can sing karaoke at the bar upstairs (costs a couple bucks per song) or the better deal is to rent a private room. Fun times.
Overally okay atmosphere, Yakiroti was great. However. I was craving Kare-age, that's the reason i came here for.but it wasnt the Fresh one as i expected. Pre-heat Kara-age. Kare-Age is only great when its served right after it got fried, freshly. T. T
Great place to host an adult party. Rented a private room for 18 people for my birthday and everyone had a blast. The servers were attentive (Annie was awesome) and the food was good.
The karaoke machine was a little tricky to navigate, but not a major issue. Be aware that parking is difficult on busy nights and also encourage guests to bring cash as there are limited options to split the bill. All in all, a great time. I will definitely go back!
Food is good but service is a bit lacking at times. Time for food to come out can be a bit slow too
My favorite Japanese restaurant in Philadelphia great service and wonderful menu. The menu is so great I have to keep one near me to order as I go
This review is only about the karaoke bar, not about the restaurant, never been there.
The staff at the check in: courteous
Price: very, very reasonable!
Song selection: great
Staff at the karaoke bar: rude, whether or not internationally
Unbelievably, they ran out of bottled water and we had to ask to turn the A/C on, in summer! They make sure that you get what you paid for, and that too, just barely.
Amazing good and great service. The tamago was not spectacular but it didn't matter because everything else was spectacular!
They've updated their equipment, but fail to play the correct version. This is karaoke. Nobody wants to sing along with the artist. And music for karaoke just wasn't loud enough. The fill in music was loud.
Cheap and delicious. Spent all day walking around downtown and we got the best food and drinks at the best price fast and easy. Great place, I highly recommend
Great place for group gatherings. Large menu with many options, something for everyone. From the usual to the more experienced pallet.
Come for the quick, cheap but delicious eats and stay for the karaoke. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. I never had a bad experience here.
