Craving some childhood nostalgia, peace, delicious fruit and veggies and fresh air? Visit Yellow Hill Farm with your kids.
The owners are grandparents who treated my kids (whom they had never before met) like their own. The details! Netting over well-maintained blueberry bushes, thornless blackberry bushes, reused (and sustainable) packaging to take home fruits and veggies in, sprinklers for the kids to cool off, balls for littles to play with in the field, enormous trees to lounge under or have a picnic. I did not anticipate feeling rejuvenated after picking berries in the summer heat. I felt like I was in the 90s again, visiting grandparents on a farm.
I have known the proprietors for most of my life, and they are very up front, wonderful people! The produce and preserve products are some of the best and highest quality around, absolutely worth the trip!
