YMCA - Eastside Family reviews
6A male walked into the womens locker room while my daughter and sons were In there and started going through my kids bag and stole my sons shirt!
Great facility but you would think the staff gets paid by the minute. Every day at 7: 45 sharp, 2 or 3 members of the staff walk around and tell you how much time you have left like theyre trying to rush you out. They will do this when there is events going on in the gyms too. If theres still 15 parents and kids in the gym, bugging 1 or 2 people to leave makes no sense to me.
If i could give it a zero i would.the website says they close at 8 i get here at 7: 28, an the doors are locked.i only want a quick 30 min run.i work during the day, an can only get here at that time.i bought a membership because they said they close at 8 not 7: 30. If the people whovwork here don't want to work until 8, then quit. They chose this job.how in the world can you justify closing a whole half hr early. Ridiculous, so sick of this y making up new rules every week.it was never a problem b4. I should be able to come at 7: 30 an get a quick run until 8.cancelling my membership.
I had an issue where I felt my safety was being impinged on, me and my fiancé brought this up to the staff who Listened, took the complaint seriously, looked into It and handled the situation well. I thank them for this and for making me feel safe!
The ymca is normally not that bad. However this covid schedule doesn’t make any sense. Why reduce Saturday hours even more when your already on a reduced Saturday Schedule also not open sundays all summer. At the beginning of this I figured so what I’ll just keep paying my membership consider it a donation. At this point I’m more tempted to cancel and find somewhere else to go. Somewhere that actually is well open?
Been a member for quite some time, 6 days a week, and train powerlifting specifically. Never seemed to have any problems with making too much noise or using chalk. Now they have seemed to change the rules and only yell at certain regulars (me included) for being “too loud” when performing lifts such as deadlifts. However shortly after myself and my workout partners were yelled at someone else began doing the same thing and was not spoken to. Definitely would not recommend this gym to anyone who wants to take lifting seriously and might occasionally make noise with weights. The gym has a staff that does not support anyone trying to workout hard and rather pour money into classes and equipment that is rarely used.
