York Daily Record

My beef is with York Daily Record's editorial staff and USA Today's privacy policies in general. YDR published my name with the purchase of my new home – I get it, it's public record – but no need for everyone on the planet knowing my home address from a Google search. So I called YDR to "opt out" and have my name removed from their page. Scott Fisher the editor adamantly refused. I've been in website for years and have made this request for almost a decade with many different information sources, even when it's public record, and this is the FIRST time I've been told no! I was also told by USA Today that 'if we agreed to that, we'd spend all our time removing content. ' That must mean nobody wants you doing this! Their reluctance to remove seems based in their confusion between the actual public record, and their publication that merely reports the public record. I don't appreciate their predatory practices.

THINK FOR YOURSELVES! YDR is just as bad as CNN reporting false narratives and biased Democrat endorsing stories, despite the facts not being on their side most of the time.

I purchased an advertising package with the York Daily Record last year and they never completed the agreement. I am still waiting for my certificate for best of York category. I spoke to them about this but they have not rectified the issue and so I have not paid the bill. I cannot get in touch with the office as the number they give online online hangs up on you eventually. I would like to receive what I was promised and then pay my bill.for this they get a one star.once this is rectified I will change the rating depending on how well they handle the situation moving forward.

They grossly underpay their newspaper delivery drivers, they never keep to their set times for beginning routes, they have extreme expectations for their drivers while refusing to make the job worth their while.
