Disgraceful, unprofessional customer service. I was spoken down to and hung up on for explaining that the Youngs associate on Route 611 in Stroudsburg never processed the order for my 89 year old mother’s wheelchair. Three months later—- still waiting for one manual wheelchair! Then upon calling callback, a customer service associate actually laughed when I explained the situation.

Youngs was bought out by some big medical company. They went from a great local Poconos family retail business to some big medical corporation located out of state that has no idea what they are doing.

You will wait and wait and wait. And wait.

Pay attention to these negative reviews. They are balls on accurate, unfortunately.

Their phone reps need to be fired, or retrained. They yell at you, laugh at you, seem completely uncaring and oblivious, and make you wait forever on the phone — hours — to just come back with no solution.

Danielle was great she went over everything in detail with me to make sure I knew exactly how to use my new CPAP machine. I did not expect the time that she spent to make sure I was comfortable with everything and making sure everything was just right.she was very professional I would highly recommend them.

I too fell victim to the ineptness of Adapt Health-Stroudsburg. Michelle gets 10 stars, 5 for the way she does her job and caring for the client.and another 5 stars for putting up with the rest of these showing up to collect a check. I'm done with them and I am now switching to the Bethlehem Office.

Since I can't respond to their reply I'll put it here for all to see. I tried calling you directly and got reamed for it by some very unpleasant woman, then again another time by a guy who thinks he was all that with a lot of cause to be.

I received a hospital bed approximately a month ago. I came home yesterday from a 13 day hospitalization for cardiac.surgery. I put the head of my bed up for a meal. It would not go back down. I also have spinal damage and sitting up exacerbates my pain significantly. I called and was told a tech would call me. An hour & 25 mins later I had to call again.that was 45 minutes ago. Still no call.

Equipment Delivery has been good over the years hence the 5 stars.
As for customer service, used O2 concentrators upon renewing a 5 yr contract, and used air filters in swaps, id give youngs / adapthealth a BIG FAT ZERO if I could.

UPDATE: It’s only fair to mention that in less than a week from posting my review and contacting a senior operations manager from AdaptHealth, my complaints and concerns were individually addressed. I contacted the main headquarters that day, a Monday, and by Friday a brand new machine arrived at my home. The executive I spoke with, Michele, couldn’t have handled the situation better. She was truly remarkable. Her listening skills and dedication to the brand’s reputation set her apart from the average senior operations manager. I have full faith and trust in Michele B.that the problems I experienced will not only be handled, but also permanently remedied. She has restored my confidence and assurance in Young’s Medical Equipment and AdaptHealth. My original 1-star review has been amended to 3-stars. I averaged the original review of 1 star with 5 stars because of the corrective actions taken.

WARNING: YOUNG'S MEDICAL EQUIPMENT / AdaptHealth - STROUDSBURG, PA doesn't deserve one star much less five. Appalling customer service and the worst accessibility of any business I've ever known. Sadly, I was warned by others who said the service here is awful and that they sell you equipment you could easily get via alternative shopping methods for a fraction of the cost. No one answers the phone personally at this Stroudsburg location. Your calls are directed to North Carolina and other locations in the country. Additionally, the Stroudsburg store takes no accountability for sending you home after your "set-up" appointment with missing pieces of equipment that should have been included in my case, a SIM card and proper training to use the device. All of this begs me to think they may have sold me refurbished/used equipment. In fact, the metal plate on my ResMed 11 device had a water stain on it, which indicates, to me, that it was probably used before.

The staff appears to be more concerned with having lunch and keeping the doors locked when they should be available to their customers. After five minutes of knocking on the door, a woman named Susan who appeared to be very distressed about me interrupting her lunch and who also made it verbally clear that I was doing so merely pointed at the hours of operation on the locked door as well as pointing to another small sign to the left of the locked doors. I told her, "What good does that do me when I am at home and this information that should've been conveyed on the telephone message IS NOT. " You see, I was having a problem with data transmissions on my unit and the representative I spoke to on the phone a week earlier said I should go directly to the store and have the errant data downloaded off the SIM card that I never got in the first place.

Later, after finally being let in after explaining a 70-year-old friend who drove me was sitting in her car waiting in the 80° heat for the half hour she wanted to consume her lunch, Susan simply continue to remind me that appointments are necessary and that you couldn't just walk-in. I have been to this store on a couple of occasions and there are never any customers present. Not even one. What can they be so busy doing that they can't answer phones and offer customer assistance without having to "schedule appointments" and jump through hoops to be helped with overpriced equipment and supplies.

Again, I say giving this business even one star is too generous. In fact, other customers have also posted comments here very similar to mine. I have never seen a place with SO MANY 1-STAR REVIEWS. And maybe the saddest part is Susan even admitted she was aware of the business’s poor review and low ratings. When I asked her if she could understand my frustration and the multiple reasons why this business establishment has so many one-star reviews on Yelp and Google, the only reply she had was, "Well, I've been here 26 years. " Very sad. This is not something to be proud of.

Do yourself a favor and drive to Bethlehem or Allentown, anywhere BUT this location if your looking for service and hassle-free experiences.

This place is a joke. I will never do business with them. I will report them to the State. They don’t know what they’re doing. They have no professionals in this business. Go else where. They don’t need your business. That’s their attitude.

They dont deliver anymore they ship by UPS even if its only 5 minutes down the street. My wife is struggling to breathe from asthma they refused to let us pick up the nebulizer our doctor ordered at the store then screwed up the shipment so its been 3 days and we're still waiting despite numerous phone calls (to a remote call center).

My experience was very good. Michelle was very warm and helpful. She is attentive to questions/concerns and explained everything thoroughly.

Not exactly the most appealing place when you walk in but the staff was nice. I went in for setup of a cpap machine and Michelle Delgado did an amazing job of explaining everything. She took her time and made it a non stressful experience.

There was an issue charging insurance company but Michelle was able to speak with insurance company to fix the era she did an amazing job.

Very good informative explained everything simply so I couldn’t understand they took their time when I did that. They also answered all my questions.
