Kristi is an All-Star. We had a home birth and boy what a wild experience. It happened so quickly. It was wild. Kristi recognized that my girlfriend’s body was pushing on its own. She recommended between two quick contractions for my girlfriend to reach down and check for Zander’s head. It was go time with our midwife 25 minutes away from the house. Kristi was the houses “calm glue. ” She stayed with Caitlyn and I grabbed materials to catch Zander. Within 40 minutes of Kristi’s arrival Zander was born. Everyone needs a doula in my opinion. While nurses and doctors are baby focused, doulas focus on the parents. Kristi’s services were worth every cent. Thank you again Kristi.

I knew from the beginning of my pregnancy that I wanted a more natural, holistic support person with me throughout the labor & delivery process. My goal was a natural hospital birth (most importantly vaginal and not c-section) and since I was considered "high-risk", I wanted a combination of my chosen medical team and birth doula to help me through it. From the moment we spoke with Kristi, she was very knowledgeable and had such a calming presence that I knew we'd have a great shot at achieving our goal with her. She provided fantastic prenatal coaching and advice and expertise throughout my last trimester and was in touch with me daily in the last couple weeks before labor. During labor, my husband and I both appreciated her knowledge about positions, breathing, technique, etc. She also was great communicating with the doctor and nurses on our behalf when it was just too difficult for us to do anything but labor. In the end, she was not only an amazing support for me but also for my husband! He definitely was skeptical about the idea of needing a doula in the beginning, but he fully admits that he looked to her for direction and guidance to help him support me. In the end, I delivered a 9 lb 5 oz baby vaginally, and I love love love the entire birth story. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Thanks to Kristi and her team! We're also using the postpartum services for help now that we're home and need help at night for the first week while we try to care for the baby as new parents and also get some rest ourselves. Don't know what we would have done pre or post without Kristi and team!

I would highly recommend Your Birth Doulas, they are extremely wonderful people, and have a gift for putting you at ease during the birthing experience. Our Doula, Kristi, always responded immediately to every text, answering any questions. When my wife began labor, Kristi stayed with us for 20+ hours without sleep. Helping calm and soothe my wife with every single contraction. They also respected every single wish we had for our labor and stood strong to make sure our wishes were honored.
Nurses and doctors are there to help and take care of you, the doulas are there to make sure your voice is respected, you’re comfortable, and all of your questions are answered.

I worked with both Kristi and Jill throughout the process and they were both great! Jill ended up being the one to help me through the labor and delivery process and she was so helpful! I am so glad I had her there! She was there as I labored at home and then came to hospital with us. Jill made the process so much smoother than it would have been otherwise.

I decided at 5-6 months of pregnancy that I wanted to go ahead and find a doula… I was always interested in the idea and follow a lot of women who are doulas on social media and I’ll tell you first hand Kristi is the BEST around. I was worried it was too late, I wouldn’t find anybody to take me on, and not to mention having severe health anxiety from my first pregnancy I just didn’t know what to think or what to do and Kristi supported me and guided me the entire way. I couldn’t say enough great things about her and the way she runs her entire doula support team. It’s hard to have a pregnancy with no support or lack of and honestly I’m so glad I took the time to find her! She also does a great job with postpartum support as I’ve had a few times where I really needed her guidance and just someone to chat with.

If you’re looking around, look no further and seriously contact her! You won’t regret it!

I had went to a birthing class over ten years ago when my first son was born. I basically thought I had a good understanding on the overall process. When I was informed of attending a private session for the birth of my latest son, I basically did an internal eye roll. I learned it would be given by Kristi who was a doula. Honestly, I never heard of a doula before and my preconceived ideas were humored by, kept to myself, sarcasm. However, everything changed when I met Kristi and sat through her informative teaching. I actually found it quite fascinating and far more informal than anything I heard before. Attending the birth of Phoenix, I noticed Kristi’s dominance in birthing knowledge to be met with enthusiastic compassion for the physical baby delivery. I was cynical initially to wonder what a doula would add to the experience. Amazingly, Kristi’s aide and talents weren’t exclusively focused on Phoenix’s mother. I was significantly stressed and filled with anxiety. Kristi maneuvered around that delivery room like a boss. She brought comfort and direction to the experience (all the while employees of the hospital basically stared at a computer for the majority of the time) and made the whole experience easier for me to digest. Take all of life’s situations and seriously think about them and prioritize them. Having a baby is at the top. I don’t understand now that I experienced a doula why you’d enter into such an unbelievable life experience without one. If you come to the place to recognize the benefit of and hire a doula, there is only one to select…Kristi Reed!

I had a 9 lb 13 oz baby with a big head and his arm up beside his head. I had no drugs. Could I have done this without Kristi? Maybe, but I doubt it. I had inattentive nurses which I didn't even realize in the moment because Kristi has a quiet, calm but commanding presence in a delivery room so I never felt uncared for. She always knew what position to put me in (and there were a lot!) and had the most refreshing peppermint oil on a washcloth that wafted into my nose at exactly the right moments. She gave a very informative birthing class (much much better than the hospital's) and checked in regularly during my pregnancy and post partum. Kristi gave me the confidence to stand up for myself at doctor appointments when I wasn't comfortable with what they were trying to make me do or not do. I'm not saying doctors are always wrong by any means but they definitely had me thinking I was headed for a C Section if they didn't induce me. Well, I sure proved them wrong! And I owe that all to Kristi. I cannot recommend her enough. At the very LEAST, at least be sure to have a private birthing class with her so you can be fully armed with knowledge for what is no doubt the most amazing experience you could possibly go through.

Kristi and her team are amazing. We had our first child this past summer, and he's a terrible sleeper who struggled with reflux. After a month and a half of being seriously sleep deprived, I reached out to Kristi in the middle of the night desperate for help. She quickly responded within a few hours to schedule a time to speak. As soon as my husband and I met her, she put us at ease and gave us hope that we would make it through this difficult time. We looked forward to the nights they came to care for our son, as we were finally able to get some much needed rest. Kristi was so supportive and would regularly reach out to touch base and ask how the nights were going when they weren’t there. We completely trusted Kristi and her team with the care of our son. With Kristi’s support, I was able to start feeling like myself again and enjoy being a mother. My only regret is not knowing about Your Birth Doula Services sooner.

Kristi and her team of doulas are most certainly one of a kind. Each doula has something about her unique to her craft as a birth worker. Even though everyone is different we all carry the same ideas behind birth, postpartum, sisterhood and womanhood. We found Kristi when I was 36 weeks pregnant and I was so nervous we waited to long to hire a doula but she calmed my nerves with her knowledge and experience. She took the time to answer all our questions and even helped us make some last minute changes to our birth plan that I will be forever grateful for!

As a business owner, her ethics are superb. She is punctual, responsible, respectful and caring of her clients. As a Doula she is patient, loving, caring and all together awesome! She is also extremely thorough with choosing what doulas work for her agency. She makes sure they are capable of filling her shoes should she be unable to serve you! If you are weary of choosing a doula, you can trust when I say Your Birth Doula Services will not let you down!

Having Kristi as my doula helped tremendously during my labor. Her knowledge and support was key in having such a positive birth experience. She provided support and information in the weeks prior to labor that helped us to be ready for the big day. I am so thankful to have chosen Kristi as my doula and wholeheartedly recommend her for anyone searching for a great doula to help bring a new little one into the world.

I called and spoke to who I believe was Kristi and had a nice conversation but truly was blown away at the pricing of her services. It seems like she is really out of touch with her community base. I mentioned I called around to a few other doulas in the area and their prices were half of what she is charging and I didn’t understand the stark price difference and she insisted that her care was somehow superior to theirs. Honestly it really took me aback by the rationalizing she used. She seems like a newer doula with less experience than others that offered the exact same service except with more experience. It seems a lot like she’s taking advantage of women and the actual true need for doulas in our community by excessively charging more than her services are worth. In case you’re wondering the area average seems to be $600-$800 and Kristi charges $1300. Why? I have no idea. There’s literally nothing different that she does.

The best decision we made to prepare for the birth of our daughter was hiring Kristi for postpartum care. I recommend Kristi to anyone I know having a baby as she has been there for me and my family more than I could have ever imagined. We had her sleepover and care for our first born starting on night 1 through 3 months old. We continue to keep in contact with her and will without a doubt be using her for baby #2. Her expertise, advice and support around all things pregnancy, birth, feeding, and postpartum have been so helpful and such a comfort. Kristi was also incredibly intuitive — she seemed to know exactly what we needed and we immediately trusted her. It is truly the best money ever spent. I was able to have a healthy recovery and I could get rest new moms deserve to be happier around their sweet baby. We would be lost without her and she has become part of our family!

Kristi is the best! She is knowledgeable, warm and compassionate and will take the best care of you and baby. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her!
