Allie's Donuts reviews
15We asked for 6 donuts 2 plain crawlers and 4 others and when we got home in Johnston there were 2 plain donuts not crawlers. Why can't anyone get anything right?
If your a diabetic don't go it's not for the weak hearted. The donuts are heaven sent.
Loved the place until they became political. I'm all for supporting causes but not by knocking another group down.
This little wooden hut on the side of the road may be a well-known staple & local favorite but if you're passing thru, it's is a diamond in the rough! Right up there with Iggy's or Weinerama, Allie's belongs on the list of mom & pop, long-lined iconic tastes of Rhode Island! Just a donut, I think NOT! Still cash only (Venmo too) with a crazy long wait in line (Sat & Sun plan for an hour) but don't let either deter you.once you take a bite, you'll wish you had ordered a dozen or three!
Used to go here every year for the Quonset air show and Leap fest. 4 dozen Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday for the crew. No more. Matt your grandfather would be ashamed of you. Get help.
Useless people run this business. It’s gone and will never be back. Save your money and your time and avoid it. Cash only because they do not pay taxes.
Wicked yummy. But, they got the order wrong.
Thanks for the invite to email you, I can't find one. It was 40 min drive because we heard how good they were and they were right.i doubt I will be back any time soon. But thanks for the offer.
Good dounghts better then dd old dought trash? West if money go to allie"s nice ride? There
We went at 10: 30 on a Saturday and of course there was a long line. The line went fairly quickly though and the wait was about 30 minutes. We ordered 2 dozen donuts and needless to say, it was worth the wait. The texture of the donuts is spot on and all of their flavors are delicious! Wouldn’t say that it’s better than Knead but it’s for sure in the top 3 donut shops in Rhode Island. Tasty, simple, varied flavors and cheap, this is a must go for donut-lovers in Rhode Island.
Extremely disappointing. I really don’t understand what all the fuss is about. After waiting in line for an hour and a half the donuts weren’t even good. Dunkin’ Donuts is better and the bar is pretty low there.
Ling wait in the cold line. Took almost an hour to get to the window to order. Donuts were amazing though@
My family and i love Allie's donuts, and after this week we love them even more! The cashier accidentally shorted my change by $30 this week, and i didnt notice until later in the day.i called Matt and Jennifer, and immediately they refunded me with no questions asked! Great service. Great donuts. Great people.
Arrived at 9am, and waited for over an hour. Love the donuts, but might not be worth the wait (or the politics).
2/19/21 Edit: this review was from a few months back, but was edited on 2/18/21 for grammatical changes (p.s. Supporting our law enforcement is something that you don't just forget about)
This place is absolute trash. I waited in line for an hour to find out they’re cash only. Went back the next day with cash and waited in line an hour and a half (got there 30 minutes before they open) to find out they were all out of the donuts I wanted. Then I find out they take orders over the phone. Absolutely miserable.
Was a long time fan but it seems as if they’ve changed the recipe for my favorite item, the cinnamon buns: (they were way too sweet and very generic tasting.maybe it was just a bad day? They didn’t used to put a sugar coating on them, the icing was always more than enough. It’s a shame. If they bring back the old recipe I’d be happy to return.
