Bagels Etc, Barrington RI

Would someone please explain why this place is hardly ever open for business? They are closed 2 days a week (why?), while the days they are open it's only for a few hours. This past summer they closed for several weeks because, according to a sign on the door, the owner had some kind of minor surgery, on his foot as I recall? (To quote a line from a show I once saw, when one of the characters had to cancel Thanksgiving because of her injured toe, another character asked, "Why? Does she cook with her feet? ") I wish someone would open a decent bagel place in Barrington that is open more than a couple of hours a day, ideally by someone who wants to actually run a business that serves the community.
