Have done a few trips with Brian now and plan on more in the future. Good boats that are well maintained and good wind every trip with lots of destinations. Brian does a great job of communicating and very accommodating. Highly recommend!

I have chartered from Bareboat Sailing Charters at least 6 times and have always been pleased with the quality and condition of the boats. The sails and running equipment are in good shape, galley is fully stocked with all the essential utensils/appliances, and the nav, autopilot, engine, windlass, dinghy engine, etc operation has always been without trouble. The location is phenomenal and within easy weekend reach of Block Island and Martha's Vineyard. I would highly recommend chartering with Bareboat Sailing Charters for a fun getaway!

Great customer service and location. We booked a weekend on a very nice Jeanneau 42 in October and had a perfect sailing weekend. Bareboat Sailing Charters out of Newport made everything simple and fun. They introduced us to the boat thoroughly, explained the local waterways and services, and were helpful during and after the boat return. Between the fine boat, the great location, and friendly service - we will be booking with Bareboat Charters again next time.

Our first family cruise! After many years of racing, our family chartered a Beneteau 42 from Bareboat Sailing Charters in Newport and had a fun, relaxed week-long cruise to Cuttyhunk and the Vineyard. The boat was very comfortable, easy to manage, and all systems worked well. Hope to do it again soon!

Fantastic Trip! A long weekend of Newport - Block Island was a great way to close the summer at Columbus Day weekend.
We had used some other companies in the past but unlike some others first charter with Bareboat Sailing exceeded all our expectations. The Beneteau 42 was well maintained and all systems were functioning. The boat was well equipped with many options that included a GPS color chart plotters and a 10’ dinghy. The rolling main furler made it easy to manage the boat from the safety of the cockpit.
Response from BBSC for the few questions that we had over the course of the trip was on point. This was a truly memorable sailing vacation for our family!

Awesome Reunion

3 olde sailing buddies chartered a Beneteau 41 from Bareboat Sailing out of Newport. We hadn't been together in ~40 years and had a ball sailing in various weather conditions from calm & sunny to >20 kn winds out of Cuttyhunk and a >2" deluge of water in an hour in Nantucket Sound following a cold front. Bareboat Sailing sent us out with a very well-equipped vessel in good order after a complete briefing. Being old farts, we, of course, forgot a couple of points in the briefing but Mike, from Bareboat, was always there to guide us whenever we called. The GPS/Radar combo was especially helpful w/less than a 1/4-mile visibility in sheets of rain. Brian was responsible enough to call ahead and warn of coming stormy conditions, which we were quite aware of, but the notice was highly appreciated. We would certainly be inclined to again use their services for future charters in the Newport neighborhood. And although Newport is greatly gentrified these daze, it retains a lot of its olde flavor and character which was refreshing.

We had a wonderful adventure aboard one of your charters, a well organized, family friendly experience. The orientation and support were very useful making the sailing easy aboard an unfamiliar boat. Thanks so much. Kathi and Tim

We bare-boat chartered a 42 foot Jeanneau for seven days of sailing in Narragansett bay and Rhode Island Sound. The boat was well equipped and well maintained with all of the systems in great working order. The boat includes a dingy and everything required for a great week of sailing. We sailed and swam every day in locations in and around Newport and Jamestown. My family and I look forward to repeating this wonderful sailing experience! WOW! Amazing adventure on the perfect vessel. Well maintained with all of the things needed for a week away from the rat race. Brian and his team provided the best options to sail the Newport area. Mooring is in an ideal location. The boat and all equipment worked perfectly. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time with Bareboat Sailing. We will be back!

“Life long family memories! ” My family and I booked our 7th charter with from Bareboat Sailing Charters in August 2022. The Jeanneau 42 was clean, well maintained and all systems were functioning. Our 3 boys look forward to this trip every summer even now that they are all teenagers! It was another great family sailing vacation!

We chartered the Beneteau 45 for a week in August 2022. Great experience. Brian was extremely helpful and fast in answering our numerous questions. The boat was in very good condition, clean, and nicely stuffed with plenty of tools and spare parts. Captain Bill was great at helping us with some technical questions. Great business, great boat. I hope to charter from them again soon.

This is our second charter with Bareboat Sailing Charters. We sailed in July 2022. We previously sailed in 2018. The fleet is great and we sailed a Jeanneau 42. Summer Star is a really well designed boat and all systems were functioning. The boat is equipped with great options, including a GPS color chart plotter and a dinghy + outboard. The entire Bareboat team is efficient, well-organized and reachable. We had a small problem with the fresh water pump and they walked me through the process to clean the filter over the phone without any issues. I definitely reccommend chartering from Bareboat. I would sail with them again.

We did a 7 day bareboat charter on a 45' Beneteau (Summer Wind) at Newport, RI; Brian (the owner), and his team (Rod and Bill) run a tight operation, and are extremely organized and on target. Everything went according to plan, except weather one day (got caught in a storm.) but the boat was solid, everything worked, and they were very responsive on any questions and needs. Great job guys, and thanks for a wonderful (and exciting!) vacation.
