This is one of our go to places. Twice we had the same waiter (can't remember his name though). He made us feel at home and was very attentive. The food is delicious and large portions.

I love this place between the great food and staff it's a no brainer! Trivia night here is so fun, even if you don't know everything it's fun to play. Specials are always great and truly it is worth any drive. They do have vegetarian options as well that crush!

First time here. We ordered a salad, pretzels, fish tacos and Mac&cheese. It took 30min (less than half the capacity at 1: 30pm on a Sunday) to start eating but at least everyone liked their choices. Service was very friendly.

Visiting from out of state and happened upon this excellent restaurant where we had a delicious Sunday brunch with outstanding service provided by Meghan, who was wonderful with our food allergy concerns. Food portions were huge and the price was so reasonable! We highly recommend, and we will be sure to visit again when we're in the area. Thank you so much!

Fried Chicken bowl was delicious. Think KFC’s version but with high quality and tastier ingredients! Mac and cheese was also amazing. Delicious and creamy. Drinks were pretty good as well. Sat at the bar. Bartenders were very pleasant and constantly checked in on us if we needed anything. Free parking in parking lot that is shared.

Well trained staff, great menu. The only complaint was that the floors were covered in grease in the entire restaurant. Learn to mop properly!

I've eaten at Black Oak a few times. It's super local and the food is good quality. However, it's not consistent. Of the 3 times I've been, the menu has changed each time. Servers seemed confused when I asked for things that I learned [after] were no longer on the menu. First was a version of General Tso's chicken. That was delicious. Last time I went, they didn't have it anymore so I got the poutine tots instead. I went tonight to have the poutine tots and find another entreé. The server asked "Tots? We don't have any kind of tots. "

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it. " A consistent menu would be great.

Came in from out of town and decided to stop here for a bite! What a great place! We came here for lunch, the service was amazing and food was great! I would visit again!

My experience at Black Oak is consistently good. Everything I've ever eaten has been thoughtfully prepared and consistent with the menu description. Staff are courteous, efficient, and very accommodating.
The truffle fries are DELECTABLE.

Hey Folks*** FINALLY GOT THAT STEAK DINNET MY NOT SO FUTURE SO IN LAW PROMISED ME TWO YEARS AGO AND BOY WAS I HUNGRY SO OF CORSE I GOT ALL THE APPETIZERS I COULD STOMACH WOULD LET ME,! ***$$$$$$$ CHICKEN WINGS NACHOS SWEET POTATO FRIES BAKED POTATO SKINS WITH CHEESE XTRA CHEESE BACON AND TOPPED WITH SCALLION RINGS! ;; THEN I WAS READY TO ORDER THE CAVEMAN CUT NEW YORK STRIO STEAK WITH MASHED MIXED POTATOES XTRA GRAVY MMMMM GOOD AND MAN THIS STEAK PUT ME IN THE MEAT SWEATS OVERLOAD DEPARTMENT! Great food and amazing service. The portions are really big and hard to finish though. I recommend the corn bread, it was the best I have had

This place has small menu that packs a punch with a nice selection of draft beers and good mixed cocktails. Our bar tenders were upbeat with great personality!

For as many people that were in the restaurant it was remarkably quiet. The bartenders were awesome!

Food was mediocre at best. And the setup of the bar area is very confusing when looking for the bathroom. Bartender saw me confused on where to go and rudely told me to walk around the bar area to find it. Definitely not anything worth going back for.
