Clean, spacious rooms. Beautiful, private grounds. Owner Christine goes above & beyond to make sure guests feel at home. Keith is great at providing fresh towels, etc, on a daily basis. Love going here! Highly recommend! Christine made our 27th Anniversary there extra special!

This is a lovely, quaint place. The rooms are lovely and it is well within walking distance to the beach and popular restaurants/hang out in the area.

I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Whale Inn. Christine is amazing and made sure that my mom and I had a great experience. She is warm, welcoming and takes pride in treating her guests well. She went above and beyond during our stay to show us around the area. She has the kindest spirit and treated us like old friends.

The inn is walking distance to Misquamicut Beach and local restaurants. The rooms are clean and cozy with air conditioning, a mini fridge, microwave and tv. There's also a lovely outdoor patio equipped with a grill if you'd like to use it.

You know you'll be taken care of when you book at the Blue Whale Inn. I look forward to my next stay. 10/10 recommend.

I LOVE THIS INN! We have been going here for 3 years (going on 4) consistently and have never been disappointed! The rooms are beautiful, the OUTDOOR SHOWER IS INCREDIBLE! And the Owner and Cleaner are so kind and considerate! WE LOVE THE DOVE COCONUT BODY WASH IN THE OUTDOOR SHOWER, THE SOFT TOWELS OUTSIDE THE SHOWER AND THE BEACH PASS! If you want to enjoy your vacation at Misquamicut Beach STAY. HERE.

My husband and I stayed here for the first few nights of our honeymoon. The innkeepers were super nice and hospitable and they kept things clean. The rooms were really quaint and cute and they fit our needs well, because we wanted a cute, romantic spot. However, they are definitely very tiny and not a lot of room to store stuff, which made it difficult to find good places for suitcases and bags. My husband and I were also disappointed with the fact that they said on their site, or at least gave us the expression on their site, that they are right on the beach - like you walk out of your room and there’s the sand and water. That is not at all true. My husband and I didn’t even visit the beach nearby while we stayed there. We tried to once and walked a little ways down the road and couldn’t find it. It’s definitely not as close as we thought it’d be. I don’t know if I’d choose to stay there again, but they were a nice little inn to try out for a few nights.

Rooms are cute but way too small. Our room had bugs and ants. After walking on the floor and taking a shower, all this black stuff was coming of my foot. Floor hadn't been cleaned in years. When we mentioned th bugs and ants, the owner called us liars. When we went back in the room to show her, she denied two bugs in the room were bugs. She then followed us to our car as we were leaving berating us. She then sent us a 5000 word text message. Bottom Line; Avoid this place.

Staying at the Blue Whale Inn was such a wonderful way to experience Rhode Island for the first time. I called before I arrived as my ETA had changed Christine (owner) was very helpful and let me know to just call when I arrived. When I arrived Christine was very friendly and showed me the two different rooms I could choose from which was unlike any inn I have ever been to. The rooms are all beautiful with coastal decor and very homey. The complimentary bottle of champagne was a sweet gesture. There were several bottles of water in each of the rooms. The rooms were spacious and super clean. The outdoor shower was amazing with the hot water which was necessary to get the sand off after a day at the beach. Christine was around the inn always friendly willing to help or give recommendations on what to do or where to eat. She has several wagons, beach chairs and boogie boards for her guests to utilize. The outdoor space had plenty of seating, tables a grill and lights the flowers surrounding were beautiful! I could not have asked for a better stay at the Blue Whale Inn. I cannot wait to come back! The hospitality is unmatched!

My partner and I chose to stay here for a few days for a small Memorial Day holiday. It was quaint and extremely adorable. It was almost like being invited to stay in a room in someone's beach home more than a motel. Staff was AMAZING, The grounds were really nice, and the prices were reasonable. From talking with the owner I was able to gather that many of the people who stay are regulars and I fully understand why.

Chris was absolutely amazing. Very easy to talk to, always interested in your plans for the day, and even remembers to ask how your activities went! She inspected our room before we arrived and didn't like the air conditioning so she had a brand new one installed for us the day we arrived! The amenities she offers are great. You won't get a better breakfast than the place she will give you gift cards to visit. The bottle of wine was nice, especially because it was twist open! It's also amazing she provides so many chairs, boogie boards, wagons, etc for you to take to the beach! When she caught us picking out a boogie board she literally rushed to let us use one of the brand new ones she had just bought that day! You can really tell she puts her heart and soul into the place.

The rooms are a little small but you can fully gather that from pictures. It's really not so bad if you utilize the space well. They are decorated beautifully. I'm not sure if it was because we had a room that could be connected to our neighbors or the walls were a little thin but if we didn't run the A/C we could hear full conversations. No biggie - It's the beach. Just run the A/C it drowns it out!

My only true complaint is the beds - It doesn't say what size they are on the website and with the angle of the pictures it wasn't easy to gauge. I knew they weren't King's from the picture but I was hoping they were Queen's or at least a Full. They were doubles. My partner and I are sprawl sleepers. This was doable but far from the most comfortable we could be. That being said, other than the size the beds were very comfy. They were a high quality memory foam. Very comfy and quiet. Linens were very high quality and cozy.

One last thing I would like to touch upon is handicap (mainly wheelchair) accessibility. Please note that I am not including any of the following in my rating. I am not looking to steer away traffic or complain whatsoever. I simply want to inform people with highly limited mobility on what you are in for. Simply put - if you are entirely non-ambulatory, you may physically be unable to stay here.

I was very impressed that when I called they were INSTANTLY able to tell me how wide the doors are for their handicap rooms. Very much wide enough. Unfortunately, because of the small room size, I was unable to park my chair anywhere other than in front of the dresser. Really this wasn't a big deal. When I am in bed with the chair parked I don't need in the dresser.

The problem those entirely unable to stand will have is the restroom. I was entirely unable to get my chair in it. The door is wide enough but with the sink there isn't enough clearance to get to the toilet. Even if there would be the toilet was in front of the shower. Thankfully, though I am entirely unable to stand or walk, I am young and very strong. I am used to scooching around my own home anyway and the room was clean so I didn't mind scooching to the shower or toilet. They asked if I needed a shower chair or an extended toilet seat which was amazing, but didn't help me as I just couldn't get my chair in the bathroom.

Again, this didn't bother me that much. In fact, the small bed was more of a concern for me! I am young, strong, and used to getting around because I don't want to miss out on anything. But those that are more limited would either need a lot of help or be unable to make this work. I do not want this to steer away any traffic, but also do not want somebody with extremely limited mobility to feel stuck.

Nice place to stay- There is a beautiful garden- I stayed in a suite and there were multiple beds- and a full size fridge- The ocean is close by- within walking distance if you like to walk or they have parking passes if you would prefer to drive. The owner and staff were all very friendly and knowledgable of the area. I had so much room in my room! Was also very clean and had two different entrances. Thank you Blue Whale Inn for having me!

Everything was clean and tranquil. I arrived prior to my time of checking in and sat and read on the patio. Christine was absolutely lovely and offered two options when what I asked for as the complimentary wine wasn't available. I intended on staying in a delux room and was upgraded to a suite! Beautiful space. I'll definitely be back again.
