Certified Chimney Inspections, North Smithfield RI

Everything is great until it isn't with them.
Water was leaking into my fireplace, they came, looked at it, and recommended changing the current cap to a different cap, they did the job and guess what? The cap fell off in the very first storm, obviously water continued to came in, called again, they put the cap back on, yet water is still coming in; what has happened? Nothing, I keep calling and being told someone will come and in three separate occasions nobody shows up. No communication, no follow up and no solution to my problem. Even last time, as I was waiting on hold for a solution, I got hunged up on. Clearly they did a poor job, took my money and have zero interest in fixing it.
EDIT: Jamie came yesterday January 25th and was very thourough with his assessment of what is causing the leaking and provided additional options and recommendations to move forward.
His service made me change this rating. Hopefully, this is the service this company is striving to provide going forward. Just take the additional 20 mins to explain everything to your customers and answer their questions. It makes all the difference! Thanks Jaime!

I had a great experience with Certified Chimney Ins. Zack was very knowledgeable. Our chimney was leaking due to no cap and it was super hot to the touch when he showed up, he said it was one of the hottest he had ever felt which, was a huge hazard, but Zack got right to work to identify the problem and was very upfront about any additional costs we might run into while he tried to figure out the issue. He put in a new liner and did some maintenance. Our chimney is now cool and functional. I will definitely work with them again!

The inspectors did great and were very helpful. I'd recommend them.
Unfortunately the office or whomever did two straight no call-no shows with zero communication. I had to follow up myself with their missed appointments and threaten a refund for them to confirm their own schedule.

We had a great experience! Aaron and his team were friendly, efficient, and took their time to explain everything. They went above and beyond by completing the work up on the roof right after a snow storm. Highly recommend!

Aaron and Rob were extremely professional, educated, kind, informative, and went over and above to quickly and accurately perform all the work needed to fix our chimney pro lens. Their quick safety reactions surely prevented a possible chimney fire or worse. We are so thankful for them and all they did! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for complete professionalism and knowledge! So thankful!

Certified Chimney came twice to my home: First to inspect our wood stove and fireplace, and again to apply a smoktite seal to the smoke chamber. On both occasions, Josh and company were courteous, punctual, and professional. Excellent service! We had our first fire tonight and it was lovely.

These guys showed up on time to quote my work, they were courteous and checked out my system and let me know what I did need and did not need to do I will be using them and will post again I want to add to this review as more work was performed today and once again they arrived within 5 min of time the said work on roof and inside fire place was done exactly as described thank you both for the great clean up too never would know you were here

I would highly recommend Certified Chimney to work on your chimney projects. I have hired them to remove a pellet stove, masonry work, and also install a cap. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I plan on using them for future chimney cleanings.

Wish there were more stars to give! I experienced quite an emergency yesterday when my boiler cleaning company came to clean the furnace and told me at 1: 30 in the afternoon that they could not turn furnace on for my tenants, at 27 degrees, due to a damaged chimney. My response was, "how do you think I can find a chimney company to come out and replace the flue at this time of year and time of day? " I called my regular chimney cleaning company and left a message of an emergency and almost 24 hours later they still have not returned my call. Certified Chimney was the 3rd random call I made. Not only does there company answer the telephone, which would already give them 5 stars in my opinion, they came out within a half hour, had the 50 year old rotted and rusted flue out and a new stainless steel insert replacement. To undertake a job of this size at 2pm, I am sure was not something the tech Seth and CJ were looking forward to but you would have never known. They accepted the challenge with professionalism and not one complaint. They were on my roof, over 30 ft, till dark. My tenants went to sleep safe and warm. I should also just mention, I was NOT a customer of the time of my emergency call but rest assured I AM a loyal customer and will continue to promote in any way I can. Thank you George, Seth and CJ.
