Don’t waste your money! Okay so my family and I were reading reviews on Chinese food in the area this place had really good reviews. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW (maybe they were paid for) the food is awful no taste and greasy garbage. To top it off the counter clerk is rude and when I asked her for a paper plate she kept saying it’s already plated. I also asked for soy sauce. I understand it’s in cheap styrofoam box ding dong. I wanted a paper plate to eat the food off of. I spent over 100$ for awful food and I had to beg for a paper plate and soy sauce no Thank you. I won’t be back. I summer here every year I see now why I’ve never heard of this trashy outdated dingy Chinese food resturant fyi the large amount of cars in the parking lot is from the planet fitness next door not this terrible restaurant. Also we all had tummy aches after eating our food ugh what a terrible place.

They have the best hot and sour soup that I've had outside of Asia. The rest is typical American Chinese food. Good prices, fast service. If you are considering China star in Newport, don't. That place is garbage.

Food was very good. I'm often disappointed when having Chinese food out of town, but this is some of the best take out I've had in years. Please note: they share a building with the gym/health club. I drove by three times before I noticed them in an otherwise desolate stretch of road.

The best egg rolls I've ever had! Amazing chicken wings, spare ribs, beef stick, spicy hunan anything (i.e. Meat, chicken, or seafood), and General Tso's!

This was one of the worst food we ever had. The veggie soup was so bad and also the vegeterian chowmein. Orange chicken was undercooked.

My wife and I visit the area once or twice per year, this small but amazing dining establishment is always a must. The food is amazing. Great flavors, what ever you order, but the BEST crab Rangoon. Friendly owners and staff. Clean! Quick! Delicious! Attentive!

I take my aging mother once a week and she loves going! We get the chicken chow mein which they strain for us. My go to every time is the lemon chicken ; thick boneless chicken with lemon sauce so good I ask for extra on the side, yummm

Arrived onboard Sunday night for a week of class, ordered some noodles from them Sunday night. Found no utensils with my food, I called back and wanna let them know please don’t forget to put utensils and only been told that I have to asked for it. I’ve been to some places with the military those years and this is actually my FIRST time to even heard about such thing, I was like, ok.
Ordered my dinner with them again after class today, make it clear I would love a pair of chopsticks with my food, she said no problem, I put in the order for you. Get back to the hotel room, only to find out no chopsticks no utensils. Food is American style Chinese, giving a 2 star because the location is very convenient.
