Courtyard by Marriott Providence Downtown

Other than the boarding, everything about this place seems top notch. The room, the temperature control scheme, the amenities offered, the nearby activities. Definitely was the opposite of a let down

It's cool. Not a lot around if you need something after 8. Bistro never open after breakfast, just coffee. But front desk was good. Maintenance was good. Not bad.

The room was clean and smelled lovely. The bed was comfy. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The view was amazing. We were within walking distance of some amazing restaurants, parks, and other sites to visit. The breakfast we got in the morning was great. Parking was expensive and a little tedious, but not a big deal. We want to come back!

No pool although it was advertised as having one. No complimentary breakfast. Staff very friendly and courteous, nice spacious room.

Very poor housekeeping standards. As a crew member I’ve absolutely had it with hotels not caring about cleanliness. Nice courtyard in a good location …. Too bad

Ron the overnight front desk man deserves a raise! His attitude has been superb and lighthearted every-time that I have come across him, and I stay up late:). Also, his watchfulness and attention to detail provide a sense of security that places marriot downtown higher than omni in my mind. I don’t know if this is an official position but he should be made the head of customer service and relations!

Beds are terrible and the refrigerator is non-function-able. The room refrigerator froze my insulin costing 4K to replace it here in Providence. There are no microwaves in the rooms and management was not helpful with the insulin issue. I will have to leave the client early to get insulin costing us a lot of money. I am amazed this hotel has a Marriott sign on the front.

Beds were very soft. Not cool. Location was great. Hotel was quiet and clean. Parking very expensive.

Charged my credit card without telling me. Prices are overcharged. Also they did not do anything special to my room as I requested (me and my girlfriends 5 year anniversary)
This is my 5th and last time coming here. No respect for veterans

It was a pleasure staying there. All the people who worked there were friendly and courteous.

Noisy Streets are a thing at this hotel. NOT truck friendly at all. (3/4+ Ton) Designed for compact cars in the garage, and LIMITED parking at hotel. I would not call this a business hotel, more fitting for guest visiting convention center. EXPENSIVE "bistro" if you like the limited selection of items. NO ROOM Service as well. Some hotel staff may be friendly, but can see that others are here just for the paycheck and not the customer experience.

We had planned an evening together, but the hotel we had been told we had a room did not in fact have space for us (not their fault, long story). We booked last minute at the Marriott, and they were very friendly, accommodating and comfortable. They opened our wine for us, and it was good stay overall.

Keep it simple. Clean decent room lil cafe in the lobby on site parking in the middle of Providence. Would stay again. Only down is it's a lil noisy.

I stayed here last two nights and I've to say, the staff is amazing. The hotel is located right downtown really close to lots of businesses and half a block from a mall where you can find pretty much anything. The staff as I mentioned was incredibly helpful and kind, yoi could tell they actually wanted to be there and were inclined to help. Definitely recommend this hotel and for sure will come back.

Love love love the people here So nice and willing to go a step above so that you can enjoy your stay We have stayed here at least a dozen times over the years and while there are some new faces the core group and management have been there since we have been going Location is terrific easy access to Mall Waterfire and canal

Stayed here while attending RICC. It is within walking distance of the convention center. Staff was very nice. Room was clean. It is quite a noisy area but you are right in the middle of town so it’s going to be noisy.

Location is great. The customer service I received was terrible (just one person). Ronald at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. Not sure if he was just having a bad day, but he was not in a good mood and was talking down to multiple people. I have stayed at other Courtyard by Marriott properties and have typically had good experiences so assuming this situation is an outlier. Ronald needs to learn how to be better to paying customers.

Location was perfect for the conference I was attending at the convention center. The view from the room was decent. I appreciated being next to providence place for food and shopping.

The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. The rooms and decor are typical of Marriott hotels.

The hotel staff and the room were definitely not upto the standards. One of our worst hotel stays ever.
The room was not equipped with 1) toiletry- body lotion- we asked for it and we were told they don’t have it 2) chipped bathrooms that made it look like a motel 3) not even a trash bin. Even a 2 star motel would provide all the amenities for the high price
The front desk staff are discourteous and are either on their phones or just stand there chatting away, also clear with their lack of ability to at bare minimum be apologetic for their lack of inventory.the cleaning staff are rude for minimal requests, because we had a dog with us we wanted to make sure no one opened the door when we weren’t around- so we tried informing them that we do not need room service to which the reply was a rude “no we won’t do it anyway”.
This is seriously not Marriott standard and we would never be booking here again!
