Cumberland Kitchen & Bath

For our first home remodel project ever, we decided to go with the professionals at Cumberland Kitchen & Bath for a kitchen makeover and to install hardwood flooring in the living room and hallway. We met with Designer Teresa Gaudet in our kitchen so she could see the space, take measurements, and see how we can better utilize our countertop spaces, etc. Her design really wowed us and got us very excited to embark on this journey. She guided us in the Showroom with her talented and tasteful eye on selecting the cabinet color/style, countertop material, lighting fixtures, backsplash, and flooring. That can be quite overwhelming because there are so many choices, but she made it rather easy for us. She managed to eek out some extra inches of space in our design layout so we could have lazy Susan-type corner cabinetry. It was great to work with Joanne Carr and Colleen Sheridan in the office on scheduling and project management - they are so personable and made us feel that we were in great hands at all times. Great communication and responsiveness! The entire process, once it began, took 3 weeks, as promised. The only glitches we experienced were that our front door alarm wire was cut inadvertently during floor installation (CK&B agreed to cover that cost), the post-renovation cleaning services provided left out the living room and hallway (I did it myself), and the refrigerator with water/ice hook-up wasn't re-installed on the final day as promised so we had to do that ourselves (and we dented the floor in the process - it took 3 men to move it). And some small touch-ups are needed for backsplash tile grout that is settling/cracking in a few spots (which the owner told us is normal and CK&B will handle it for us). Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend CK&B to anyone. Having them oversee and manage the project with all the details, timeline and subcontractors involved is worth the price in saving you stress. I would not recommend doing it yourself! Call the professionals at CK&B. The end result for us is a beautiful, modern kitchen and living room/hallway space that we can be very proud of and enjoy for years to come. After our first consult and return to see what Lisa put on the vision board, she NAILED IT! Lisa was spot on with what we wanted with only very minor tweaks. Thank you Lisa.

When we decided to do our kitchen over, our first place we checked out was Cumberland Kitchen and Bath. We hit it off immediately with the owner Rita. She was so welcoming and kind and took the time to explain the whole process of a kitchen remodel. We did not need to look any further. Next we met with our designer Therese who was so wonderful and accomodating. She worked with us on what colors and style we liked and then created a design that we loved, it was above and beyond our expectations! The workers were so polite, always on time, and worked diligently to get the job completed on schedule. Any questions or concerns that came up were dealt with right away. I would highly recommend Cumberland Kitchen and Bath, they went out of their way to make sure all our needs were met. We could not be happier with the transformation of our kitchen!

Having one point of contact from design to completion was a huge asset to using Cumberland Kitchen & Bath. Theresa did a fantastic job of putting my vision board into action and worked with us to find the perfect backsplash tile. The colors and the tile are typically the first things people comment on when they enter the kitchen. Colleen was responsive with our questions and updates on the schedule, as well as all the contractors. The quality of the products is top notch and we are thrilled with how everything looks and the new flow of the kitchen. Even makes doing the dishes fun!

The entire project from start to finish was perfect. The entire team was there to make sure everything went smoothly from beginning to end. They followed the schedule to a T, replied to all our questions and concerns same day. Tom our designer, Rich our carpenter and Dave our floor guy were amazing. Rita, Colleen and Joanne made sure every step of the process was to our satisfaction. Amazing team and company!

We redid our kitchen top to bottom and an adjacent bathroom. The team at Cumberland Kitchen and Bath were helpful, professional, and responsive throughout, from the initial design through some last-minute adjustments at the end. Plus, they finished on time. We highly recommend them.

From the moment we walked into the showroom and spoke with Rita we knew we were going to use CKB for our kitchen and bath remodel. Rita listened to our needs and wants and paired us with Thomas which was a perfect match! Thomas came out to our house and, once again, listened to everything we said – from all the things we disliked about our current kitchen to everything we wanted in our dream kitchen. And when we didn’t know exactly what we wanted, Thomas gave us several ideas to help us decide. Wonderful experience!

When the work was about to start, Colleen in the office emailed us a schedule and was always there to answer our questions. We always felt we could reach out to her with any questions.
The work started right on time and everyone who came to our house worked hard! From the demo crew to the finish crew everything worked like clockwork and everyone who entered our home was polite, kind and respectful. We even had an ailing cat who the crew always treated so kindly.

The quality of our new kitchen and bath far exceeds anything we expected. The craftsmanship of the cabinets is impeccable and the finish work, I’ve never seen such perfectly mitered corners!
Kevin, the owner, came for the final walkthrough and inspected everything. A true professional through and through. After the job was done, we realized we needed an additional light over our newly extend peninsula and Kevin said we could call the office and use one of their electricians to install it. Service AFTER full payment! That’s professionalism we don’t see today.

CKB cares about the customer and understands the customers’ needs come first. You can also tell they care about their staff which is so evident in how kind they all are. A wonderful company to work with!

I cannot speak highly enough about Cumberland Kitchen and Bath! My old kitchen was straight out of the 80’s, cramped, and the flow was terrible. Teresa redesigned the whole space, taking down a wall, and now my house doesn’t even feel like my house anymore! They use a mix between their own staff and subcontractors for the work, but every single person I interacted with was kind, respectful of my home, and produced absolutely fantastic quality work. They didn’t just settle for “good enough”, they really went the extra mile to make sure everything looked perfect. I had to wait about 5 months before it was my turn in the queue for construction, but as soon as the construction started, it stayed perfectly on schedule and ended exactly the day they said it would. Was it expensive? Sure, but not nearly as expensive as other companies I got quotes from and I think the quality of what I got far exceeded the cost of what I paid. If you want cheap and ok, buy some off the shelf cabinets and have a handy person install them. If you want to completely transform your home — go for the full design/build route with Cumberland Kitchen and Bath. You won’t regret it!

Our bathroom remodel was amazing from start to finish. Lisa, thank you for designing a bathroom beyond our expectations. It’s gorgeous! Rita and Colleen, thank you for being courteous and keeping the project on time. We had a few minor issues but you both made them seamless. As for the crew, I can’t say enough good things about them. They were all professional and pleasant to work with and did Excellent work. I would highly recommend this company. They understood our needs for aging in place in our home. We’re happy to say they’ll be back in September for our Kitchen remodel.

Cumberland Kitchen & Bath designed and built a new kitchen, bath and half a bath for me. I was shopping around for a contractor for this project and Cumberland was my 4th call. I spoke with the owner Rita and in 5 minutes I was sold. Cumberland's designer Teresa came to my house and went over exactly what we were looking for. Teresa listened to us and made some very good suggestions which we went with. Her design exceeded our expectations and then Cumberland went to work. Cumberland started and finished on schedule and has excellent demo and installation crews. My construction manager was Colleen who was very attentive to our project. We now have what seems like a new home with beautiful bathrooms and kitchen. I highly recommend Cumberland for anyone looking for any remodeling project.

We worked with Carol and Heather when we built our house. They helped design our kitchen, bar, and master bath. With each project Carol listened to our ideas, budget, and restrictions. She came back with designs and suggestions that fit our specifications, and didn’t hesitate to take our comments back to her drawing board. A few months later we went back to her for our bar and she still had our design ready to go. Everything came in in a reasonable amount of time for how busy everything is right now. The installers were professional and kind. It was all around a wonderful experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Anyone looking to remodel kitchen or bathroom Cumberland Kitchen and Bath is a great company. I had a kitchen remodel and I am very happy with results. They were very responsive to my questions and issues I had either by email or phone call as I was out of town when this remodel was done. Good quality of materials and labor used in the project. We used Cumberland Kitchen & Bath to renovate our bathrooms. The whole experience was top notch. Teresa was patient and accommodating while helping us with design choices. All the tradesman were courteous, clean, and did quality work. We expect to use them again for a kitchen remodel.

When our family decided to pursue a remodel of our kitchen, we knew we had to find a professional service to at least guide the process for us, given that our kitchen and main living spaces share an open concept. We were paired with our designer, Lisa, who answered every question we had, gave exceptional advice, and made efforts to incorporate our thoughts, goals, and wishes into the planning. The space she designed for us was beyond what we imagined it could look like. Some concepts were slightly out of our comfort zone, and Lisa encouraged us to trust the process, which was very good advice- we are so happy we trusted her instincts! The workmen who came to our home were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, ALWAYS on time, and we felt confident, comfortable, and grateful that they were working on our living space. Project manager Colleen and our lead carpenter Chris immediately fixed any issue that came up during the process. The office staff helped with every detail! We would definitely recommend the company to our friends; anyone looking for guidance, advice, and continual support throughout a renovation project should consult Cumberland Kitchen and Bath!

Full kitchen remodel, floor, walls and ceiling right down to the studs. As with any older home [85 years) there were issues. Each one, however, was addressed in an immediate and amicable manner and we are more than satisfied with the result. The only caveat we would suggest is to get as much detail regarding your lighting, switches and receptacle requirements in writing and well before the project start time as the electrical installation is not as flexible as some of the other construction items. Yes, we would absolutely recommend this company for kitchen remodel.

The job was done in exactly 1 month, on the exact day they said it would be done and not a penny over budget. Wow. All the trades people they used seemed very skilled and we are so happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend them without reservation.
