Dead Eye Dick's reviews
17I'm always skeptical about the "touristy" kind of food places but this was not one of them - the lobster roll was 100% worth it- it was chock full of meat and was the highlight of all the restaurants we checked out that day. Absolutely recommend going here. The garlic aioli was also a great side for the fries
I wouldn't recommend the lobster rolls here. The quality is there but the quantity for the price is outrageous.
Absolutely the best fish & chips on the island! Perfectly cooked and served hot & crispy
The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Wished we had outdoor seating for the group. It was very loud, and hard to hear people at the other end of the table.
Arrived 35 minutes early to be seated and waited on early. First to be seated 6th to be waited on. Mentioned it to host and he says just chill out guy. As far as drinks excellent, scallops delicious, chicken sandwich very good, fish tacos bland, crab cakes tasted processed vs fresh.
Thank you to the bald slim gentleman (sorry not meant to be offensive) that managed to get us seated in the garden by the firepits close to closing, we did not realize the restaurants close early. Unfortunately, there were no firepit tables available but as soon as one opened up, Brittany accommodated us and she was great, it was a little chilly so the fire definitely helped. My husband had the bass, my friend the swordfish and I had the lobster roll. My son had the chicken fingers and for desserts the bread pudding and the chocolate cake which could have fed all 4 of us. All the food we had, was delicious, we were sooo full. Thank you!
Bad service and decent food. Dead eyed staff. You have 3 to 4 better options on Island use them.
My shrimp salad was beautiful and ample.the triple layer chocolate cake was delicious.the drink was strong enough
however, the oysters were small and our least favorite compared to the other places on the island (husband and i were visiting)
our staff person was wonderful and ambiance wasn't too loud which is what I like
Loved it! Best dining experience on block island. Service and food both great. The wine by the glass selection was fantastic.
We had reservations for 6 people and it was a 45 minute wait. The other people in our party were running late and so we sat at a bar table instead. When our friends arrived later, they were flexible and accommodated them. The table was a little tight but we made it work. 3 of us order the special which was market fish (Black Sea bass) with summer garden succotash, lemon basil cream sauce. It was fresh and delicious. One friend ordered fish and chips, the other ordered cheeseburgers and fries, and another friend ordered shrimp and salad. They said they were all delicious
Our food was great! We had the crab cakes, the lobster roll and my husband had the turkey bolo. We sat on the lawn and it was really nice but we were in the back and could hear music blasting from the kitchen and the garbage trucks picking up garbage. Not the best timing but an overall good experience. This is our third time back to block island and we always eat here so would definitely recommend!
Excellent steak taco's if u like spicy sword fish bites also good. Great service and atmosphere
The food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the soba noodle dish with tuna. The tuna was the only edible part of the meal because everything else was swimming in a bowl of soy sauce. Our other meal was a steak Ceasar salad. The greens/dressing was fine but the steak was terrible. It wasn't cooked properly and had a pale grey appearance. Lastly, our bartender (supposedly a manager) actually questioned the severity of my wife's food allergy. She actually asked "how allergic to sesame are you? " when my wife informed her of her allergy. Honestly, I would have sent everything back but didn't have the patience to deal with it.
Food was good as always. We were a party of 6 who started with drinks on the back deck. When seated at our table, a couple of people asked for water. The server only brought those two waters. None for the table and never came back to refill. She brought ALL the food out at once, which was super annoying. You don't bring out raw oysters with the hot entrees. The oysters were just okay. Our server clearly needed more training. She blamed the table for not requesting for the apps to be served first. The place was super noisy, and our group could not enjoy a conversation. Love this place, but could definitely benefit from better training. Next time, we will wait for one of Scott's tables. He's been there for many seasons and knows what he's doing.
Food is good.
Water view off the covered deck, nice!
Drinks.lacking.
Only had one.
Went to the establishment for some drinks. Left with a new perspective on life. The bartender and the handsome bar back are awesome. Will I return?: certainly
Nice view from outside dining on deck. The fish tacos were ok. The Sailor's Pain Killer was delicious. Salt and pepper calamari was yummy.
