Dollar General, Tiverton RI

I gave one Star only because I had to. The only reason I continue to use this store is the convenience! The store it self is always in disarray, never fully stocked, and oh boy when it comes to the employees. First of all I get no greeting when I get to the register, next I was told by the cashier that I had to figure out the math of my transaction when I asked for a split payment. This particular cashier is always rude and mumbling things under her breath. If you can not do simple math you should not be a cashier!

Good place for some quick thing's to add to last minute shopping! Just don't go in a wind storm (power goes out, along with the cash register) MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CASH ON HAND IF IT DOES! They were great staff though, even though I stood in line for a good 20 minutes or so, the line WAS FAST, even if they ONLY HAD ONE EMPLOYEE WORKING ON REGISTER! The other was on the floor trying to fix the other register. Anyway I think even though this store had its HOLYDAY PROBLEMS, THEY DID A GREAT JOB IN KEEPING THE FLO GOING. GREAT JOB STAFF!

I believe that the store manager's went to a school for manager they all seem very helpful

I love Dollar Generals! This one's a bit small (aisles are tight) but still great when you just about anything except for fresh produce.

Personnel at the Dollar General in Tiverton refuse to wear masks. It is unhealthy and infuriating.

They work extremely hard to please the people we don't have a lot of money and don't want to go to the big box stores

The location is absolutely filthy. The customer service personnel are very unfriendly and angry.

This store is handy when you need some last minute items close by, but I don't make it a habit to shop here often. The store is almost always a mess and they need more people working. The cashier has to be stocking and cleaning when there aren't customers, but the layout of the store makes it impossible to see when customers are waiting.

Excellent customer service and they have everything you need any help there right there to assist you! 10 stars

It's like the dollar tree and family dollar had a baby. But with brand names

You can find absolutely everything you need in this store from a pack of gum to clothing. I love going here. Always something new!

They say a dollar, but even the dollar store will sell you the same thing at $1 not $4.25, which is just lower than Wal-Mart or other bigger stores. Dollar General? More like Generally Everything Is Over $4 but it still says dollar. Their name lies more than their prices do, not worth the trip. Get the same thing at Wal-Mart for the same, probably cheaper, than these people.

Normal Dollar General. I cannot go there anymore due to their disregard of Covid 19 guidelines. Multiple employees without masks. No social distancing.

The store used to be very neat and organized, but is always messy now. Aisles are crowded or blocked. I asked an employee restocking to pleae pull up her mask which was below her chin. She did so, but only after giving me an unpleasant look. The cashier on the same day, declined to pull up her face mask saying, "If you want someone with a mask, I'll have to call the manager", which she did. Unfortunately, the usual manager is on maternity leave. The person who responded had her mask on BELOW her nose. This is breach of customer safety is unacceptable.

I have worked in customer service all of my life and manage a store of my own. I would NEVER tolerate an employee like Linda! I will be contacting the management tomorrow because this is not the first time I have witnessed her horrendous behavior! I went in to purchase balloons and she told us that she could not blow up balloon past 9 because she had to clean and put milk away! I told her there was no sign that said that and she was raising her voice and stormed off! She then slammed a carriage very loudly and aggressively! Crystal did the balloons for us and I feel bad that she has to work with Linda! I will call management tomorrow about this!

Shelves are cluttered, often times have to wait awhile for a cashier because they're off stocking shelves or something.

This particular store is a hidden gem as far as their WIDE variety of items available and their awesome sales!

I’m sorry but ever since this establishment opened I have had a bad experience 99% of the time I go in. I just went in today and the old woman who is a cashier with the southern accent was completely rude to a customer she was cashing out, both employees that were working were talking negatively about a customer who was on the phone and a customer not wanting her receipt, and the second cashier barely ever opens when multiple people are in line. Terrible customer service skills and On top of that the store is never clean and is barely following cdc guidelines regarding social distancing. There is empty boxes everywhere and overall very unpleasant.

This place is an absolute joke of a store. They sell expired foods because of how careless they are. After taking pictures of food and expiration dates, they refused to allow my mother to even grab a new one. Don’t go here! Everything is so overpriced, woman at the front was rude and ignorant.
