Elite Physical Therapy, North Smithfield RI

I've had Elite for my therapy for 5 months regarding an extensive ankle replacement surgery that was done in late June. I've started at the North Smithfield branch and finished at the Lincoln West branch. They were excellent in my care and they helped me exceed my goals to be able to do the things that I used to do. If you or someone you know are or will be looking for Physical Therapy, I strongly recommend Elite.

My wife and I will never go there again. Since they sold the billing is awful. We tried to solve the issue multiple times no help.

Elite Physical therapy is an excellent place for rehabilitation after surgery or if you get injured. I have had multiple surgeries and each time I have had top notch care.

My experience at Elite Physical Therapy in North Smithfield has been outstanding! Everyone on the staff is very friendly and helpful. My therapist, Veronica, is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. I have already highly recommended them to a number of friends and family!

This is such a great place. Everyone is so friendly but very professional at elite physical therapy in North Smithfield. I would recommend giving them a try. They are definitely the place to go. Clean place. They care and listen. Work with you on all your goals.

Veronica is amazing. She is professional, thorough in her explanation as to the goals we seek to achieve, and patient beyond belief. Her dedication is reflected in her staff as she is the Director of the Elite Physical Therapy venue.

I had a shoulder blade issue. Jojo & Elaina helped me with exercise and a home program after I finished in 5 weeks. I feel much better. I will go back to Elite when needed. Very positive outcome.

Elite Physical Therapy in North Smithfield was a great choice for my daughter. Elaina and the staff at Elite made us feel at home. Elaina was professional, kind and caring to her. She made a point to explain the treatment and always gave suggestions to improve her movement. The office was always clean and professional. Would absolutely recommend Elaina and Elite!

We have been to other places for physical therapy and have not had anyone as professional and personable as Elaina. My daughter (9 years old) loves coming to therapy because Elaina makes it fun and more like play rather than work. I’ve noticed quite a difference in the short time we’ve been coming. I am grateful we came to Elite for my daughter’s PT needs.

The staff is great, Elaina is a great physical therapist she's very attentive and always goes the extra mile to make sure you are where you need to be and then some. Would definitely recommend Elite Physical Therapy to anyone.

My experience at Elete was wonderful. Even though I only had Elena as my physical therapist, every other staff member was kind and caring. The amount that I’m thankful for having wonderful people in my life twice a week is unimaginable. If I were to get injured again or give recommendations this place would be at the very top of my list. Today was my last appointment at Elite and I wanted to leave a review to express my appreciation for Brendan, Diana, and the rest of the staff at this location. When it came to scheduling appointments Diana always made sure to accommodate me and never had an issue with me canceling or rescheduling. During my time rehabbing a back injury my therapist was Brendan and he went above and beyond to help me. At the appointments he was always aware of what I needed and never pushed me beyond my limits or pain threshold. If you listen to his instructions and follow his exercises to do on your own, in my opinion, you will get better. I feel much better than I did when I first went to Elite and I will continue to follow Brendan’s instructions to keep getting better and stronger. I highly recommend Brendan and Elite Physical Therapy North Smithfield. Thank you!

Four stars (now 5) because my ride with MTM (a non emergency transportation company)
Failed to pick me up for my 9-16–22 appointment. A sign on the wall said that there was a $25.00 fee for not showing up for your appointment.

I called Elite Physical Therapy to let them know that I wouldn’t make it that day because my ride failed to show up.

The next day’s session the woman at the counter knows how unreliable MTM is. She said “oh don’t worry about it” and we left it at that. Little did I know that woman charged me $25.00 anyway through IvyRehab who apparently owns many Elite Therapy locations.

The $25.00 bill came from IvyRehab out of Boston. I tried to contact Elite Therapy but I didn’t get beyond a voicemail and I never received a callback. I called my insurance company who said I should have never had to pay that but the insurance company was going to contact Elite while I was on a three way call as they said insurance doesn’t usually cover no show fees.

The call resulted in the same thing, a voicemail. Never heard from them. They also called IvyRehab’s listed number on the bill and got another voicemail. We are still waiting for a callback from Elite physical therapy and/or IvyRehab. Neither of them bothered to call us back.

I live in an assisted living facility and our nurse claims that she spoke with Elite or Ivy a month or so ago and that was the end of it but no, IvyRehab is sending me a bill trying to collect $25.00 from me. This is the second bill I received in six months. A 70 year old disabled man getting by on Social Security. Good luck collecting that! Sue me. It’ll cost you more than $25.00. Elite can’t prove if I called them or not. It’s kind of silly if you ask me.
The total charge came to $4,225.00 and their hounding me for $25.00 for missing an appointment six months ago? Absurd and ridiculously greedy.

I gave Elite four stars because I really liked going there and Ross helped me a lot in my therapy. Secretary was really nice too. But I waited two hours plus for my ride back home who never showed up and left me stranded. MTM ended up calling me an Uber and he showed up within five minutes. This was not Elite’s fault nor mine but it does show how unreliable MTM is. The driver never came back to take me back home.

I sometimes see a sign threatening to “punish” patients for missing an appointment but in nine years nobody ever charged me because I always called them (like I did with Elite) if I was going to miss an appointment and they understood and never charged me.

Due date is “Due upon receipt” They only want to be paid by check or money order. I can’t even use my credit card if I owed them money. Even the return envelope didn’t have a stamp on it with no return address listed. There was a window that if you place the “bill” the right way the return address would show. Too bad it ended up this way but any further action to collect $25.00 from me will result in my calling my State’s Attorney General’s Office consumer division and the Department of health and human services. This was just an attempt to get more money out of me.
UPDATE: Today I saw a “thank you for the 4 stars” from the team at Elite Therapy. It’s March 16 2023 and other than the thank you for the 4 stars I have not spoken to anyone regarding this matter. I will need to start using my legal remedies as a result of Elite’s non response. I will however assume that it’s been taken care of and wait another month to see if I get a bill from Ivy Rehab. Two things happened here. The next day I waited 2 hours for a ride back home and the $25.00 fee for “not showing up” My main beef is with MTM transportation for stranding me in the parking lot and not as much with Elite although underhandedly it was like rubbing salt in my wound.

I finally received a phone call from Ivy or Elite saying that they had adjusted my bill. They said that the $25.00 fee was removed and that I no longer will get a bill from them unless I need to go back for their excellent service.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The facility is spacious and well done. There is plenty of parking and easy access. I highly recommend Elite for your physical therapy needs.

I had the most pleasant experience. Tge staff was super Friendly and tgey really knew their stuff. I went there in pain in my jaw and neck and with
Ross exercises I was discharged in 7 weeks and am free of pain and continue to do the Easy exercises. I will recommend them to all.
