18Cancel your reservation and get 15% of what you paid back, woo! Checked the fees document you have online, I did not see any cancelation fees on there.
The campground is clean and staffed with friendly folks. Felt safe to leave our site and venture into town. Would definitely come back again.
Nice place but don't get the spots closest to the bathroom. We are literally camping feet from the building. People walk through sites all day and night cause that's how close we are to building. No privacy at all. Not the least little bit.
Well maintained and managed. One of the cleanest RI state parks. 3 areas of camping with electric and 1 with primitive sites. 2 of the 3 with electric also have sewer on site. Book in advance as it fills up quickly due to the close proximity to the beaches and BI ferry. Only 4 stars due to the lack of services provided by the campground (used to be fun stuff for the kids) and the run down state of the playground
Pop up tent section is tightly put together people seem nice! Can’t have AC going and can’t have a fire cause Mother Nature won’t give us rain!
Drive in spots are the places that have water and possibly electrical!
Too bad Smokey the bear not around to help with teaching people about forest fires!
How to put out, have water ready, dirt helps clean area of fire don’t set a fire on a very windy day always watch for embers!
Drought so no fires on this property!
Bathrooms are nice quarters only, outside water hose on side! Access to water little rocky hill!
Place needs to be updated for electrical and possibly water for smaller sites!
One of the best places to see a sunset. Really great to go swim as well and it is protected by a break water so no waves. Perfect for the kids or people who prefer to just swim. Can be very crowded for parking around sunset and the porta potty’s can be rough depending on the time of day but that is par for the course
We come here every summer to camp. Beautiful state campground, kids and pet friendly. Nice playground. Near to the Scarborough beach and wheeler beach.
Government overreaching check-in process requires registration paperwork for each vehicle in the spot: tow vehicle, trailer, motorhome and towed vehicle. Also requires state issued id.
No parking of rigs in the public parking area if one arrives even slightly earlier than the strictly enforced 1: 00 pm check-in time. The check-in time is 3 hours later than check-out time for no real reason. Out of date anti-alcohol policy. Rude and condescending park staff.
No air conditioning allow in full hook-up 30 amp sites.
RI parks need to enter the 21st century.
My only complaint is there was no electric. Beautiful, very secure park with great bathroom and shower facilities. Bring quarters for the showers.
Definitely a nice campground, quiet, peaceful, cheap. Only thing that I didn't like was the tent sites had no water or power at them. And they said my camper was to small to move to a site with hookups. I have a pop-up camper. But besides that witch wasn't bad we delt with it, it was a great 4 days.
This was our first trip using a camper so it was a trial run for us and everything worked. Sites are small, so no privacy. I get it, the park is all about proximity to the beaches. -my camping has been in tents, car camping and backpacking. Trailer is for the wife.
Clean, well kept state campground. Close to many beaches and restaurants. Some sites more level than others, but all in all pretty good. Not too much privacy between sights though.
It was our worst camping site for life. No shade, no trees and a large stump in the middle of the - too - small site. No possibility to see and choose your site in advance…and no refund offered.
Most sites are nice, only 30 amp, sites. The remainder of the sites are on hills and very hard to level and dump tanks on
We went on Sunday to the farmers market. We brought our dog Jack. Everybody was friendly.we got a great lunch… all natural nut bars …. Dog treats… All natural mosquito spray… …. There was a lot there ……people were friendly…. It’s worth the trip.
We got our campsite and it was horrible, size of a parking spot for a car and barely good place to pop our tent. Do nor recommend and will not be coming back!
Very nice state park. Wish the prices weren't so much higher for out-of-state residents. Very quiet, clean, well-kept campground. Nice location.easy drive to Westerly, Watch Hill and Newport.
Was cloudy and rainy most of the time we were there. Although there were many things to do within a very short drive even walking distance
