Garden Village Apartment Homes, Cranston RI

I’ve been here for over a year. The staff is very friendly but last week on a Thursday I found a mouse in my apartment. Maintenance came and said “oh this place is clean. They must be getting in through somewhere else” but we could not find the mouse. The front office called me and told me the exterminator will be out on Wednesday. Last night (Sunday) found the mouse again so I call the front office (they were closed) and I left a voicemail. I let them know I pay almost $1500 for this place and it’s gross I’m sharing my apartment with a rodent. I still haven’t heard anything from them. I will be looking for a new place to live asap

RAT infestation building 2! Nothing but issues since I’ve lived here. They send maintenance out regularly but they just do quick fixes to patch over structural issues and water damage. 2 ceiling leaks in less than 6 months (shower in apartment above me leaking and who knows what other pipe in the living room). Carpet gets soaked near window when it rains cause it leaks. Huge centipedes and spiders everywhere despite frequent spraying by pest control. Caught 5 mice with my own traps and still counting. The snap and sticky traps they provided do not work. Wish i looked at facebook reviews before moving in because another girl in this building had the same problems.

****UPDATE**** as of 2/12/22 i have caught 8 mice. EIGHT!

The GV staff is unlike any other!

I have lived at Garden Village Apartments for 4 years and my needs and expectations have always been exceeded! The staff is thoughtful, responsive, professional and above all else caring. The level of detail exhibited in everything done is unmatched.from the quick maintenance request completion to the entertaining and community building events. GV is TOP NOTCH! I have lived in other communities and have never been as impressed as I am by the staff here.thank you for your sincere and never waning efforts.they have and will continue to be appreciated!

Move in 2 weeks ago one week in started to notice bug bites on my body and my son’s face had a allergic reaction to these bites had to go to the hospital a few times found out we moved to an apartment with bed bugs. Went to the leasing office they didn’t want to move us to another apartment or terminate our lease without charging us a fee. Do not lease any apartment here.

This place needs slot of work. For the amount of money it cost to live here. The parking lot does not have enough spaces, the landscaping has not been done and the basement apartments/ condos have water problems.
