I checked in yesterday for the very first time and after reading some reviews I was a little scared. Since I've been here, I have NOT seen any mice. There are alot of chipmunks. It will be a perfect way to end the camping season and am eager for next year to come back.

I had a blast here. It was very relaxing. Very clean Johnny on the spots. Me and my pup really enjoyed it here. The customer service was outstanding. They were very great and accommodating.

Had a really nice spot. Went fishing in the morning caught some pickerel and perch. Overall great place.

Great place to camp and affordable. Hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. We did the Angell loop and the blue loop ~2 miles each and involves stepping over trees and uphill & downhill slopes but easy and kid friendly. Beach area is small but clean.

People are complaining about mice. We didn't see a single mouse. Chipmunks yes.maybe people are confused? Or possibly the mice problem was solved with the 11 inches of rain we got last week? We were here two years ago and also didn’t see a single mouse.

The campsites itself are very nice and semi private with some tree cover in between each site and a nice mix of open sky and tree canopy overhead. Went in August and there were no flying insects to be found.no wasps, mosquitos, or flies.which was lovely. Due to the tree canopy and wooded area it was pleasant and not too hot. There are port a potties for every 4 sites normally making it not overloaded and easy to get to. There were centrally located showers and bathrooms as well as a boat launch area and small swimming area. It is also not too far from Providence if you wanted to attend a function or Waterfire.

The cons:
There were mice.lots and lots of aggressive mice. They literally crawled up onto the picnic tables while we were trying to eat and had no fear. They chewed through a fireproof glove, a knife handle, and a variety of other non food items.

There is hot water at the showers and about $0.50/2 minutes. I suggest you bring a roll of quarters if you enjoy anything other than ice bath cold showers.

The swimming area is tiny.at its deepest it didn't even come to my waist and wasn't very wide either. This was seriously disappointing as it's a good size lake/pond. Also.no floating devices? It's not deep enough to swim but you also can't have a floatie.yeah ok. No picnicing.no animals.basically just sit in 2.5 feet of lakewater and be happy or kick rocks. They should adjust this or stop advertising swimming area.

The entire road system throughout is unpaved and at the time we went it was pretty much washboard roads the entire loops etc. As I don't have an off road vehicle it seemed excessive to drive much. The loop I stayed on was up a fairly steep hill with the washboard dirt roads and it just took away from the entire experience.

Conclusion:
Being from out of state it was also excessively overpriced for what was delivered. Overall it was barely an ok park and I wouldn't probably return due to the cons listed above.

Great hiking and trails all around the grounds especially in the back past the campground.

I paid like 108 total for 3 nights so it's like 36 a night for out of state. It's half of that if your in state.

Stop n shop is not a far drive to get supplies. Great area. Awesome area really except for some biker gangs I have seen cruising around (not in the campground though)

If your planning on coming here take my advice DONT DONT DONT. Unless you like swarms of mice at your food and feet! Absolutely overrun with them. My mother slept in her car it was so bad. Also if you like a beach with a huge NO FUN sign then this is the place for you! No picnics, no floatation Devices, no balls, no animals, etc…. I’ve never ever seen so many mice in my life! Bathrooms were gross as well. Save yourself a miserable time. Anywhere else will be better.

The entire campground is infested with mice. Sad because it's a great place other than that.

We have camped here annually for years! We would look forward to it each year. This year we were treated poorly by the staff and I don’t believe we will be returning next year. We will be looking for a new spot to camp.

This is a beautiful camp with awsome hiking trails and beach area. As for the staff they appear pleasant but don't seem to get anything done. If you want to take a hot shower a cold water shower is free, a hot shower was 75 cents for three minutes up to $1.50 for 6 minute. They have a bill changer in each of the bathrooms however they never fill then. We ask three different employees why they never fill them they each said they would tell the manager as it was his job. Not once in 5 days did they ever fill the change machines. Wost of all they place is infested with mice. After 4 or 5 in the afternoon the mice come out in 15 or more at anyone time. They climb on the picnic table, fire pit grill and even up the side of the tent. They come from all angles and make it difficult to eat and cook. We never left food or trash around locking food in car and trash directly to the dumpster. To bad as this camp could be a great campground if properly managed. But until then we won't be going back.

Mice! The entire camp is infested. They come out in droves day and night. It is a shame because the park is beautiful. I also had the misfortune of a nasty young lady checking me in and out. The rest of the staff was very pleasant. Would give a 4 if not for the mice

Awesome spot! Loved the swimming and great campground. A bit pricey for out of state camping but it works

This place was the bomb. The fishing was the best i’ve experienced in Rhode Island. I’ll try to add video of a 5 lb Pickrell. And at least a 5 lb Largemouth bass

I’ve come here for years, great campground. My issue is their rule about not being able to swim when there’s no lifeguard, not the rule, but lack of consistency on it. Lake was open for swimming all week with NO lifeguard, then on the hottest day 90+ they closed it claiming no lifeguard available? A lot of people were upset.makes zero sense

Love the place. Not crowded. Beach area is nice. Lake lovely. Bathrooms clean (just bring lots of quarters for hot water). Nice staff. No hookups. Peaceful place️
