Was the worst experience I've ever had.i had to go to enterprize.and I WANT my money back

I upgraded the car to a Tesla Model Y (which was not a nicer car than what I reserved but I accepted to pay the additional $30 per day) I got to the car and loaded everything up. I looked down and the charge said 85%. The gentleman at the counter said it would be at 100%. I shrugged it off and figured I would take it on the chin. It was in a dark garage with poor lighting so I did not notice how filthy it was until I drove off. By then it was too late to turn around. We took the car to the car wash and paid $35.00 for a full clean. (it was filthy). I drove about 35 miles and charged the car. Then I charged the car 3 more times before returning the car. Never got to 100% that I was told to return it at. I dropped the car off and the attendant told me not to worry about it. So I got on a plane and flew home. I did go over my rental time, but, I called and notified Hertz and they told me no problem and it would be $30.00 More. I said ok no problem and thanked the gentleman for his time. Now I have charges of $60.00 instead of $30 and other additional charges of 35.00 and 50.89 for a total of $145.89 of extra charges. THIS IS A RIP OFF.
Lesson learned! I'll never use them again

Traveled to New Hampshire for vacation and went through tolls amounting to $3. Instead of billing us the $3 for the tolls they billed $209.86 for some All-Inclusive BS Toll Program. We opted out of the all-inclusive toll option, but it auto-activates the first time you drive through a toll. We were never made aware of this & as far as I'm concerned this is FRAUD! Married couples beware - They charge and extra fee every day for you both to be listed on the reservation. Hertz was always my go to company, but after the pandemic they are gauging people to make up for lost revenues. I would look elsewhere or be prepared to pay far more than your expecting.

Although you have to make a trek from the airport to get here, the service is wonderful. It was super easy to get our car and to drop it off.

Great. Even with significant delay in flight to PVD, they were ready with my rental and friendly with the 2 a.m. Freezing snow!

Third cars, the charm. 1st car, no car in the spot. Go back, they give me 2nd car, get to gate, and turn around. That car was on hold. Go back, they give me 3rd car, and finally leave 30 min later.

The car was clean and ready for us. The only problem was getting in very late. The signage was terrible. We ended up wandering around for a bit before stumbling into a counter that was actually taking care of all rental services for several companies. Would have been great if they put that on a sign.

TERRIBLE experience. Rude unempathetic staff.  Even though I prepaid for this rental car they would not give me the car that I paid for in advance because I could not produce the cc I used to pay with 4 months earlier. I explained that it had been stolen, thus it no longer existed but has been replaced, and I could produce the replacement. No good, the manager told me they are not her rules they are company rules. They have had all $450 for more than 4 months. They said I would have to call their billing dept to get my money back but in the meantime, they said that I could rent a car at "today's" prices.  It was midnight, my plane had arrived at 11: 45 pm. Hmmm.sounds like a scam to me. I still have not gotten back the $450 prepayment for a car they would not give me. Once I found the correct number, called during the correct hours, and after listening to far too many prompts and pushing all the correct numbers, I finally got the billing department.they said it would be 7 to 10 business days to get back the money I paid in good faith for a service they would not provide 4 months ago. I tried to call Hertz to make this complaint, but there is no number. I tried to email on their website but they are having technical difficulties.so here is am
RUN! Don't rent.

Returning the rental car I stopped in at the Hertz counter and ask what did I need to do to get a wheelchair for my friend who's traveling with me. The lady at the counter knew nothing. She's like I don't know. I know they have wheelchair assistance because she used wheelchair assistance to get to the rental car location. You would think that someone that is working at a rental car counter would at least know airport policies!

We Gagged for four days (slightly cleared up afterwards with a lot of deodorizer spray) from the smell of smoke (pot, vapors, who knows)! This was a non-smoking vehicle rental. Car needed tires rotated &/or aligned, white cleaning (?) residue was everywhere. Very disappointed. Good news, they knocked off one days rental since our flight arrived after closing & we had to pick it up the following day. Staff at desk, very pleasant & helpful but the lady in garage, was no lady, very crude.

Had an awesome experience. The rep Jay Cedric was great, and very helpful. The office was very clean, and organized. The car rented was great as well. I will be back to this location for any future rental needs.

You have to walk a mile to get to the rental cars at TF Green Airport but that's not Hertz's fault. They had the car I ordered waiting for me, it was clean and didn't smell, it worked better than I expected, and the return was simple and quick. What else can you want from a rental car company?

Rented a car for a business trip. Requested non-smoking, was giving a smoking vehicle, but had waited in line for so long that I said it was fine. Asked multiple individuals to note on the report that the vehicle smelled like smoke, they did. Upon returning my vehicle they told me a hold was placed on my vehicle, after explaining the smoking situation, they told me I would not be charged. They never sent me an email confirmation as requested and charged my employer $400 for damages. I contacted Hertz and they confirmed that the damage fee was due to a smoke smell AND that it had been documented when I picked up the vehicle. They refunded the $400, BUT MONTHS LATER I got a call from my insurance company that Hertz had filed a claim against me for the same damage claim that they had already reimbursed. This is FRAUDULENT. Please resolve this internally, and stop making me jump through hoops to address your shady business practices.

Pretty fast and easy.

Car smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Don’t use the included EZPass unless you want to pay over $11 ‘convenience fee’

The staff were attentive and friendly when we picked up the vehicle. It was mid-evening so staffing was thin, but I was impressed that an employee who was just walking around invited us over to the smaller booth to check in with her instead of wait at the main counter. The car was in good condition and we got checked in and out of the lot in less than 10 minutes.

One thing that always catches me by surprise is that the price you see on Priceline is almost always too low bc they are not accurately computing all of the taxes and fees charged by the airport. So, be ready for that.
