H&R Block, Westerly RI

I didn't have to wait too long, was greeted with a friendly "Come on over, " my questions were answered clearly, and the process itself took less than an hour.

My first year I had a good experience with HR Block. So I decided I would become a repeat customer here for my yearly taxes. Last year I decided to do the drop off where I had multiple appointments moved out and chalked it up to the staffing issues resulting from COVID.
Though I still was not pleased with the scheduling issues, I decided to give it one more shot. This year, my first appointment was rescheduled without even a phone call or message. I called on my way in to my rescheduled date, and thank goodness I did because they rescheduled again. This morning I showed up to my appointment and they decided to tell me "my tax pro" isn't in. No call ahead, so when they said they would reschedule again, I politely declined. Highly recommend going elsewhere, as there isn't even a courtesy call for issues they are aware of.

My tax professional Marie Goss is the best. She explains everything and does what she can to get you the most on your return.

Will never be filing with H&R Block after this last experience with this branch. My s/o and I filed in person at this location. My s/o ‘s paperwork was “started, put in a file and forgotten about due to lack of workers and the company outsourcing” as the excuse was when they’d finally gotten back to her after months of not knowing where her information was. Then they proceeded to make not one but two appointments with her to gather more info and sort out the issue and BOTH times NOBODY WAS THERE AT THE LOCATION AND TIME FOR THE APPOINTMENT. THE BUILDING WAS CLOSED. BOTH TIMES. My personal experience was nowhere near as frustrating however still an annoyance.this branch had sent my tax documents to a branch in Connecticut and had told me to pick them up, and that they could not mail them to the address on file in Charlestown RI. Terrible customer service, overall terrible experience. The lack of professionalism, from such a large company, regarding legal documents, viewed as a necessity, - was upsetting to say the least.

IT WAS MY FIRST TIME USING H&R BLOCK, AND HONESTLY I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THEIR SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN H&R BLOCK.

We liked Patti Palmer at the Westerly, RI branch. She was very thorough and extremely competent; best of all, she LISTENED to us and answered all of our questions. We did not feel rushed, and our time was well spent with Ms. Palmer. We look forward to having Patti Palmer of the Westerly, RI branch prepare our taxes once again next year. In fact, we have already made the appointment for 2023 (tax filing year 2022). The office was tidy and fresh, with clean rest rooms available for client use. We thanked Ms. Palmer, upon leaving, for making our tax preparation experience very easy - in fact, delightful.

5 star experience! This is our first time using a third party to file our taxes, and H&R Block did not disappoint. We worked with a young lady name Brianna, also goes by the name Annie. She was so kind, knowledgeable and patient with our questions (and kids). She was able to fine tune everything for us. Definitely book your next appointment with her, she’s great with all the questions!

We go to H &R Block every year mostly because of the extremely efficient and personable service we get from Marie Goss at the Westerly, RI branch. We wouldn't go to anyone else!

Tried to schedule an appt on one side they say they are closing on the 16th as not enough buisness yet when you ask for an early appt they are booked. So what is it.not enough customer or not enough employees

We have never had a problem going to H&R Block, we have been going there for many years. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Bob Bassett has been a wonderful tax advisor for me and my family. He makes a complicated process easy for us and we have 100% confidence in him.

I don't know how to gue the state of Connecticut taxes. Plus Marie Goss is the best. She's very nice and easy to understand if you have questions. She puts the FUN in reFUNd. LOL

Bob was great and very nice. I always go to H and R Block for my taxes b/c they’re done correctly and quickly and everything is explained. They’re a little expensive but u get what u pay for. Thanks Bob! Highly recommend

I had my taxes done at top dollar westerly office on the 23rd of Feb. 2021 and am awaiting my return that the IRS is depositing on June 1st 2021. So they decided to shut down my card yesterday so now how friggen long will I wait? This office is a friggen joke and do not even attempt to call back. Never use this office!

Service was great and they will help you and explain how to get the most from the government.

Have had great experiences using h and r block for a few years now. A.doing them myself threw the app, and b. Having a tax pro at the office do them. Either way have had very minimal issues.

Patti Palmer was great to work with. She is friendly, courteous and professional. She came highly recommended by members of our family who also have their tax returns done by her.
