20Shoutout to Nick, Lawrence, and the Store Manager Michael for saving me when my camera card got corrupted. I was so stressed because I had very important files and didn't have anything backed up. I had purchased the camera card at their location a few weeks before, and even though I didn't save a receipt they offered to replace it. Not only that - but they were able to FULLY RECOVER all of my files from the corrupted card! I can't express how grateful I am for the lengths they went to, and keeping me up to date through the entire process. I highly recommend going to this location - the team is the absolute best.
This store is ALWAYS lovely and helpful with anything I need. They are all incredibly knowledgeable! It is always a pleasure walking in.
These guys are solid. Remember your name. Carry quality equipment. Will ship and receive purchases and rentals from Lenspro.
Experienced sales help and good prices. I recommend them for both leisure and professional photographers.
Hunt's Photo saved the day!
I came to Providence for my son's travel tournament & discovered that I needed a tripod for my iPhone. Hunt's opened at 9am on Saturday so I was able to get what I needed before game time! AND the salesman was so KNOWLEDGEABLE & NICE-he could have easily upsold me but he didn't. He was super PATIENT in helping me learn how to set up the equipment. I really appreciated the in-person, quick help to find exactly what I needed. THANK YOU!
Always helpful and takes the time to answer questions/go through inventory. I usually speak with Alan, but everyone else is just as great. Has become my go to for supplies for digital/film.
Great experience. Dealt with two different associates on two different occasions and both were very knowledgeable and nice. Definitely will be going back.
Awesome store! Nick was super nice and helped me pick out some film for my first film camera. Definitely recommend stopping by.
I went into the store not knowing anything and after talking to Lawrence for a few minutes I had all the info I needed to make an informed decision on my purchase.
I ended up getting a great deal on a video set up, and the store staff bent over backwards getting the items on needed on my deadline from another location.
I would absolutely shop here again.
I was so impressed with the whole store and staff. Will be doing business with them in the future.
We have bought from the Providence store several times over the past 2 years and it's always been a good experience. Mike the manager is a pro.
Walked in. Not much selection (particularly with higher end cameras). Walked out. For being one of the few "larger" cameras store in the state, inventory sure is thin.
New location, same grumpy old Men.
I purchased a benro video tripod from these guys that cost me over $300 at their old location a few years back. Today I was in need of a second tripod last minute so I came to hunts in Providence.
I was uncomfortable walking in. I received eye contact from all three employees but no acknowledgments or greetings.
I was browsing the tripods for something suitable for well over 5 mins without any inquiry of help. It’s an incredibly small store! I’m directly in front of them browsing. The two Grumpy old men stood behind the counter idling and periodically staring at me.
An older man walked in as I was browsing and one of the older gentleman jumped on him with a greeting and an inquiry immediately.
Finally the young man in the back of the store saw my indecisiveness and offered to help me if needed.
Shortly after I purchased some gear for about $200.
I thanked the young man and wished them all a good day.
Even then I still received zero reaction from the grumpy Guys.
I think I’ll stick to ordering online from now on.
They are great there helped me update my firmware to the latest version & didn't push the hard sale only showed & recommended stuff I inquired about, I will definitely be going there again.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. They don't have everything, but are very willing and able to order or get things in for customers. A great place for your video and photo needs.
We go to Hunts all the time for our photo and video needs! We have two businesses - a commercial media production company and a wedding photo/video company so we have various needs for cameras, lenses, flashes and more. They have a pretty good selection in their Providence store but practically anything they don't have in that particular store can be there the next day, which is awesome. They price match with B+H too which is great. Highly recommend checking out Hunts! #supportlocal
Alan is exactly the kind of person you want helping you on your first excursion into a camera shop. Knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. I just needed some b&w film, but I'll def make this place my go to for anything film related in the future. Thank you so much!
Hands down the best place to buy your camera equipment. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. They will help you find the best equipment for the best price.
A great place to buy. Like an old time camera shop, friendly an knowledgeable. The answer questions and will special order equipment for you. If you have a problem you can go and see them and they will help you. Actual people, not an automated chat, or a phone menu.
Mike and his team at the Providence location were amazing. I noticed something wrong the day before a shoot with my camera. I took it over to them and they were able to fix it within 24 hours.
You need to be doing business with them. It’s rare to find businesses that care. They really cared about getting my equipment back working.
