We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to the ITHF. The museum was amazing with fun interactive portions. We learned a lot and had fun! Such a great way to see how tennis got started, it's gilded age setting and style, and what the game is today! Make sure you visit when you are in Newport!

A fascinating museum, regardless of how much you may like tennis. It's housed in a gorgeous building and many of the architectural elements have been retained on the interior which really adds to the feel of the museum. It's not just the International Tennis Hall of Fame; it really is a museum of tennis history, players, and overall culture. There are traditional cases as well as interactive elements and you can easily spend a couple hours here and still not see everything. I found the early tennis history elements particularly interesting (playing in a corset? No thank you!), and I really appreciated the information given on women's history in tennis and efforts to break the color barrier. It really brings you all the way to modern times - 2021 inductees are highlighted, and within the cases, you'll see very recent items and stories. Given that it's not a general sports history museum, they are able to get deep into tennis culture and history, and even the most well-versed tennis aficionado is bound to learn something new. My interest is only casual (a few summers of tennis lessons two decades ago), but I found plenty to be entertained by and feel I gained a new appreciation for the sport.

Really nice HoF. Was bigger than I expected and was cool to see the player's outfits and tennis rackets.

Alice was super nice, friendly and full of knowledge. All the workers were friendly and interacted with our whole family. We very much enjoyed our visit to the museum!

Fantastic place to learn all about the world's tennis greats, from Arthur Ashe to Novak Djokovic. You can even sign up to play a game or two on one of their courts! I'd recommend stopping for a bite at La Forge restaurant on site. Their lunch menu is superb!

By chance to find this great historic place when I walked around new port. Look forward to playing the tennis on this ground.

This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been. You are instantly transported to a simpler time in history by the gorgeous grounds…the grass courts, the incredible and inviting exterior building, etc. I loved this tour. It had been a bucket list must do for me forever! It did not disappoint. I plan to return because you have to. I would like to get there when the museum doors open at 10 AM and stay there until they close at 5 PM. I want to read and see everything in that museum. I want to participate in the interactive match calling and the trivia and watch all the videos and switch go back to the Roger Federer hologram room and everything. It is just so utterly cool. I saw so much and really soaked it all in. Whether you love tennis or not, you will love this museum. It’s history and it is incredible. I give this museum highest marks. I can’t wait to return again and again!

The staff at the front desk where you get the tickets are incredibly nice and helpful. There’s a cool little museum shop as you enter into the museum or exit out of the museum. The lady who runs it is very nice.

I cannot say enough about the International Tennis Hall of Fame. It is amazing!

Loved our time at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

My entire family loves tennis so we decided that a trip to the International Tennis Hall of Fame would be on the itinerary during our trip to Newport. We decided to visit on a early Friday afternoon. There is metered parking in front but we were able to find the parking lot along Freebody Street, which only acommodated about 10-15 cars. I believe there is another lot as well. The grounds were lovely and well kept. You can pay to play or practice on the grounds though I don't know the prices or schedule restrictions. There is a larger stadium there as well, which hosts some popular tournaments from time to time, most recently one in July 2021. The HOF Grounds also, obviously, hosts the Inductee Enshrinement Ceremony each year.

The museum admission is $16 for adults but $13 with a AAA discount. Kids 12 and under are free! After admissions (you have to leave backpackes downstairs and Im not too sure about strollers) you can then go upstairs to the museum. The museum has tons of interesting information and exhibits. It takes you through beginning of tennis and how it evolved into the sport it is today. They have exhibits on various rackets and tennis outfits throughout time which I found very interesting. There are lots of memorabilia worn by players during their milestone matches throughout the museum. They also explain how various tournaments came to be. There are some interactive exhibits including a microphone where you can call a match as an announcer! There is a large room with all of the Hall of Famers going very far back. It was nice to see players honored throughout time.

One of the more interesting exhibits in the Roger Federer hologram room. It is a small dark room and when you enter it, a hologram Roger is activated. He tells you 10 reasons why he loves the game of tennis.it last for a few minutes and was pretty cool.

We learned a lot at the museum, especially my 10 year-old. There were a lot of players and history that he was not yet exposed to.so the fact that was admitted for free and got to experience and learn so much was awesome.

There is also a gift shop/store but they were closed for lunch at the time.

Overall we had a great time at the Hall of Fame. It is an absolute must for tennis lovers.especially those with little tennis lovers in the family.

What a spectacular and fun location for a welcome dinner party the day before the wedding! This is a great venue for a party, guests were all so delighted and I had a blast photographing their excitement. Everything was well run and there were so many fun and candid photo opportunities in this unique location.

Had a great time! Fantastic 3 tennis matches with pros playing on grass courts. We toured the Hall of Fame for international tennis players and lots of history. Got sunburned like on the beach. Great time, a happening.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame is located in the historic building which used to be called the Newport Casino. The grounds and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful along with the perfectly manicured grass courts inside the complex. The museum itself is pretty small, but had a lot of interesting exhibits about the history of tennis and the stars of the game. Even a signed copy of some 50-year old adidas Stan Smiths! Definitely worth a stop even if you're not a big tennis fan, or at least stop by just to walk around the grounds and take in the sights.

Rich history of tennis on display. My country Czechoslovakia well represented here thanks to tennis giants like Martina Navratilova, Ivan Lendl, Martina Hingis etc (all born in all good Czechoslovakia). Czechoslovakia has been producing top athletes for over hundred years and many had to leave for good because of the oppression of communism especially after Soviet invasion in 1968

Lunch with a friend. Brian was our server and did a great job taking care of us and his numerous other tables. First time we had been in the back part of the restaurant and got a kick out of the seagulls tracking the tourists eating outside!

I’m not a tennis player, but we thought this was very well done, and we enjoyed our visit very much. If you are visiting Newport, you should put it on your to-do list.

Nice museum but not worth going to. I played tennis singles throughout grade school, high school and college. My family loves tennis but we weren't overly impressed by this museum. Nice tribute to
