J22 Tap and Table reviews
7Do not attempt to order a "very rare" burger here. The first came to me well done. I sent it back. The second arrived medium rare. I ate it because I was starving and my guests had finished their meals. Staff tried to pull their plates away while others at my table were still eating. Never again.
Love J 22 it’s really a great little neighborhood place in Jamestown, the Cooke owners, Jackie Tessa, great job and she access his local ingredients that are always in season so we’re a certain oysters available. She’ll have it. Same thing with the fish and all of her seafood whatever is fresh and accessible she won’t put it right on the menu. She does special things for us all the time and I have to say it’s one of the best clam chowder as we have ever had.
New York, Paris.and J22! The atmosphere is not everyone's cup of tea, but it did fill mine. It is a throwback, unpretentious, and old school. Peter the bartender is off the chain! I had a Ketel One Gibson with Cocktail Onions. Well played, Peter. I also had the Tuna Bowl. The Tuna was indeed fresh, and came recommended by the chef. She was on the money. There were many other items that peaked my interest. I cannot wait to go again. It is a great value for the money. All too often restaurants try to be too cutesie, creative, and artistic, and lose sight that they're feeding people. J22 was so worth it. Do try! A+
Maddix is an amazing server, kitchen is fast! Food is excellent. Atmosphere is lively and fun. Had tuna poke and fish tacos. Outstanding.
Small and casual place with a short but satisfying menu and an experienced bartender. A great alternative to Newport that has endured the test of time.
A must see.worth the trip taking a detour to Jamestown! As you can see it was delicious and fresh… perfectly melted flavors. Only outside seating.made it even more authentic!
