New England Chowder, shrimp and chicken tenders were awesome. Never had eaten these dishes this tasty before. Great service!

One of the better places we have been to in a while. Could eat here 3-4 times a week, easy. Total, personable care of the customer, including some quite remarkable dishes/wines. Please try the chicken! But it's ALL great, seafood and everything. Thanks Jo's. Won't forget this restaurant.

Greeted by angry hostess. Waiter unfamiliar with menu. Thru bag of rolls on table. Another weatress ran up put plates down and ran away. Manager asked how we enjoyed our experience. We explained how we were served. He than told us some homeless man shot himself and would we like desert

The wife and I agreed that this was our favorite dinner of the weekend. She had the butternut squash ravioli topped with salmon and I had the filet mignon. Both perfectly prepared. The cocktails were good and the service was personable. Definitely recommend leaving Thames to visit this spot.

Fantastic dinner, exemplary service. Everything made fresh and to order. We had an amazing dinner. The lobster carbonara was full of big chunks of lobster. Awesome. This will be a definite "repeat" if we ever come back to Newport.

It was a busy day when we stopped here for lunch. Everyone was super friendly and the Calamari was brought out quickly and was fresh and delicious. My burger was so yummy and hand-cut fries were perfect. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our dinner here last week. The Sunday-Thursday pre-fixe menu offering is the best hidden gem this restaurant offers. We have never been disappointed.

I think this is one of the greatest places i ever been. I took my wife for lunch and it was fantastic. I recommend Roasted Cod.

Prix fix was delicious. Chowder was rich and creamy with lots of clams. Steak was perfectly cooked, veggies as well. Wine pairing fit nicely. Service was excellent. Best meal among many for us in Newport. Very reasonable.

Charming restaurant located in the heart of Newport. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was good but felt like it lacked ‘originality’.
Our server, Cam, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure that we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our meal.

We had an awesome time at Jo's. We were seated upstairs, where things were lively, but not overcrowded. The service was great, and the owner stopped in to check on us.

Coming from Boston, we found the menu prices to be very reasonable. I ordered from the restaurant week menu, which was an excellent value and all around a great meal.

Great gluten free options. Also, a plus when I don't get sick after! Hummus platter with gluten free bread and martini were delicious!

Once again Jo’s has proved to be our favorite restaurant on the island.
We lived in newport for 24 years (moved 2 years ago) …. We LOVE to eat and enjoyed many good restaurants during that time but Jo’s was always our favorite….
We are back for a visit and we returned to Jo’s last night.
SO CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS!

Delightful lunch with a delicious lobster salad roll, salad, fish and chips. Warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. What more could you want for lunch?

Delicious neighborhood gem. A must stop while you are vacationing in Newport. They are wonderful, the food is delicious, and they are accommodating for those with food allergies.

Visited for my first time for Newport Burger Bender. (Jo's offering was French Dip.)
Food was fresh, well prepared and our server was terrific. I will not hesitate to dine there again.

You have to get dessert too! It's a genuine, local restaurant with a chef who is committed to every detail of the experience. Extremely welcoming staff. Obviously, it's a favorite of the locals.
