Restaurant Kimberly's reviews
16My first and certainly not last time going to Kimberly’s for dinner! Service was excellent/very knowledgable, food was excellent, and overall experience was very pleasant
Best meal on the island. Coconut curry shrimp was spot on, and chicken parm was fantastic. Great wait service, loved the outdoor seating too!
Great visit to Kimberly's and enjoyed the live music from across the street while sitting outside. Our server Mark was excellent as were our meals. Try the Mussels appetizer. The Swordfish grom the specials menu was outstanding.
My wife and I spent a couple of days on B I in the early fall, and wanted to try Kimberly's, which we had seen being very busy each time we went by in the summer. Now we know why: the service was friendly, helpful and professional, and the food was better than very good. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. Portions were generous and prices were fair. Even the music was very enjoyable. Kimberly even thanked us as we left, and we promised her to visit when we come back next summer.
Always a good experience. Today we had the Thai curry mussels and the littleneck clams with chorizo and corn. Mussels were great but the clams were outstanding!
The food was amazing, staff was great and just a great place to enjoy the island and the hospitality!
Disappointing. The hostess was rude to us when we arrived. I asked to sit outside. She insisted that because I hadn’t asked for that when I reserved it wasn’t possible. She was unnecessarily nasty. We went in only because the other restaurants on the island were likely to be full and we were hungry. The food was overpriced and blah. My five small shrimps drowned in the rice I hadn’t asked for. There are many better places to eat on the island. Don’t waste your money
Meals
Entrees: Coffee rubbed sirlion steal, fri diavlo and seared scallops.
Appetizers: thai chicken wings, calamari.
Food was exceptional. Service was great.
We will return.
The BI Phantom
Food was good. Waitstaff (Cindy) was friendly and efficient. Bread/focaccia was fresh and delish. Dipping oil was flavorless. Add some parmesan flakes, garlic, herbs, please. Main complaint - and it was surprising - is hostess refused to seat our party of 2 at a decent table outside. There was only one 2-top available (a high top in a poor location). Multiple 4-tops were available outside - and remained unused - but we had to dine inside.
I have been going to Block Island every summer for over 30 years now; this past week was the first time I've been to Kimberly's. I loved it so much, that I went one night and then back again three nights later. This place is a gem! The service was friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean, the decor is beautiful and comfortable, the available parking is a nice bonus. The star of the show is the food! The warm and crusty bread with garlicky olive oil they give you at the beginning of your meal is scrumptious. On my first visit, I got the chicken teriyaki potstickers appetizer; the potstickers were just the right amount of crispy, and the chili sauce they were served with was delicious; I liked these so much, that I got them again on my 2nd visit. On my first visit I had the Plain and Simple White Fish; don't let the name fool you, this fish dish was incredible! The fish was cooked perfectly - flaky and moist. The accompanying rice and vegetables were delicious. On my 2nd visit, I got the Miso Glazed Cod - literally the best fish I have ever had! And the accompanying basmati rice/roasted corn curry succotash, wow! I don't even have the words to describe how outstanding it is. I wish I could jar up that succotash because I would be thrilled to eat it every day! Amazing! I skipped dessert, but would like to try something on a future visit. I am very much looking forward to dining at Kimberly's again next summer. Bravo!
Dream of and crave the Thai curry mussels on a weekly basis! Food is consistent and always good. Takes traditional New England fare and spices it up with delicious sauces. Something for everyone and the staff are warm and friendly!
We sat 11 (3 generations) people for a birthday and the food and service was amazing! Lobster Mac and cheese was some of the best I’ve had and the swordfish, lobster rolls, and chicken marsala all had rave reviews!
I will visit every time I’m on block!
We had a bad server experrestaurateur with Katie but the owner Kimberly made everything right. Kimberly has a high bar and makes sure her high standards are met by each & everyone of her staff. We are regulars at Kimberlys when on island from CT. Kimberly's great cuisine- diverse menu and attention to detail are to be recognized & highly admired. Covid has made it difficult to staff all restaurants and training new staff is not an easy task. Kimberly, we will not let this one bump in the road keep us from future visits. We highly respect your professionalism and customer service as an amazing restaurateer.
Kimberly's was an awesome experience. The staff was friendly and prompt with service, and we were greeted by Kimberly herself. The clam chowder appetizer was fantastic, warm and rich! The fish and chips was flaky yet filling and my wife enjoyed the chicken parm grinder! There were even 2 little waitresses in training who refilled our water! A wonderful time on Block Island at Kimberly's.
Lovely place! Food was very much on point. The atmosphere & staff were awesome. Definitely want to make it back here!
Kimberly’s is a MUST! The food & the staff are both exemplary, and Kimberly’s personal warmth and commitment to perfection guarantee a fabulous dining experience. We chose the Ahi Tuna dusted with Coriander & 2 dinner specials: Spicy Scallops with Lemon & Lobster Coconut Curry. Every dish was excellent! The tuna was sublime. The scallops were large, tender, perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with flavorful rice and vegetables. The lobster was incredible, sourced locally, and the coconut curry sauce with veggies was spectacular. This should be #1 on your list, whether you’re a couple, a group or an individual looking for a perfectly comfortable and excellent culinary experience. Thank you to our server Tom and to Kimberly for an absolutely wonderful evening! Can’t wait to see you again soon xoxo
