Lifespan apparently does not connect with the largest medical facility in our region, Massachusetts General. It also appears to NOT forward results to the ordering physician, but just to the local primary care. This led to the cancellation of my surgery today when test results were not accessible to MA Gen. As in, as I was in pre-op in Boston. Why aren’t the systems connected seamlessly? This is a serious problem that impacts your patient’s ability to get timely care. It is now likely that my surgery will be delayed possibly a month or more.
