I went in for a clogged ear and ear infection on a Tuesday @3: 00. There was no one in the waiting area, was taken right back to an examination room. The woman (Gina) was extremely kind, courteous and helpful who checked me in.
The med tech, Meagan who took my vitals was so sweet and also very kind!
I was treated by Kayla, a PA and Bianca, a medical assistant. They were both amazing! I needed both ears irrigated, not a pleasant experience. But, both ladies were so professional, compassionate, kind and patient.
I would return again if I needed medical attention!
Thank you staff for taking such great care of me!

My mom went there today at 12: 40 pm with flu like symptoms, wanted to make shur she didn't have Covid, she's 87. She finally left at 5: 30 pm. I called them and said I can't believe she's been there that long. The receptionist says it's been busy.
Do not go here. They are not Dr.s they are PA pretending to be dr.s.
They did X-rays, she was clear. They left her n a small cubical after X-ray for an hour. She left the room calling to see if she can get dressed. Lady says oh yeah u can.
Very bad. No professionals here.

Life Span I'm not getting back to you to discuss this. I'll be notifying the RI State Board Of Heath.

If you value your health, you will avoid this facility. Below is the text of a complaint filed with RI Department of Health on 12/22/2023.

On 11/18/23, I visited the Lifespan Urgent Care at 1360 West Main Rd in Middletown, RI, due to strep-like symptoms that persisted for a week. I was tested for COVID, Strep, and Mono during the visit. All rapid tests returned negative. The doctor informed me they were sending the COVID and strep samples for standard testing as the rapid testing sometimes produces false negatives. I went home and received a phone call from the facility an hour or so later to inform me they had lost my samples and would not be sending anything for further testing. They offered to have me return to take new samples, and quite upset by this, I opted to wait for a visit I had scheduled with my primary doctor, whom I had more confidence in to provide care properly. On 12/20, I returned to the same Lifespan Urgent Care facility for an issue related to blocked ears and dizziness. I was “roomed” by an M. A.named Jerilyn (sp?), and while reviewing patient details, I noted I had been there last month, and my samples were lost. Incidentally, I noted my father had indicated the same facility lost his samples in October. I noted it was alarming that two individuals in the same family would experience the same sample processing issue at the same facility in such a short time. In response, the M. A, Jerilyn, noted that the facility is very busy, I pushed back noting that, when followed, proper protocols should prevent these errors. While still looking at my Epic chart on the display, she said, “Oh, you’re THAT David Brown, ” and “Let me tell you what happened. ” She continued to explain there were two David B’s that day. This is true; we both stood up when our name was called in the waiting area. I noted they must have a protocol that relies on at least two data points for patient confirmation – name and DOB – and she said they have protocols, and they were all followed. She then noted they were understaffed and “obviously very busy, ” sometimes people try to help each other, and mistakes happen. I asked if she indicated it was a staffing issue, and she said they have been “understaffed for a longtime. ” She then noted that I was free to go somewhere else if I had an issue with that. I pressed once, noting that such a breakdown would either be caused by a process or staffing issue, and she jumped into note again that processes were followed and they were too understaffed.

I spoke with someone named Laurie from Lifespan's risk management team who refuted Jerilyn's claim of understaffing and noted proper protocols had not been followed at the facility.

I injured my leg by walking into the frame on the end of my couch. It swelled quickly so I went to the nearest Urgent Care in case it had a fracture. I was in steady pain at the point of impact with heavy bruising. There was also intermittent pain shooting up my shin bone. I asked for an xray to determine if there was a fracture. I told them about the pain to aid them in diagnosis. Before the xray, I heard them outside the door discussing me making them aware of my pain and the fact that I was gently rubbing my leg. The conversation seemed to be that they assumed I was seeking drugs. A simple call to my primary care doctor would have enlightened them that trying to give me pain killers would have been a difficult task for them. I absolutely refuse them. The xray results were no fracture but care ended there. No instructions about how to care for the bruising and swelling. Just an okay you can go. I'm from a different part of the country where urgent care is one step below emergency. Your condition is stabilized until you can get in to see your primary physician. I was disappointed in the level of care.

I've always had pretty good help from this urgent care. They have quite a few types of diagnostic tests available, including xrays. Maybe I've been lucky, but my wait times have also been pretty reasonable. Good service all arounf.

NOT IMPRESSED! Nurse Practioner "examined" me for about 30 seconds. (deep hacking cough/constant sinus production/chest gurgling) She did not verbally give me a diagnosis but only said she didn't think it was viral. I asked a Med side effect question, which I checked with my Dr.later), and she was DEAD wrong! The ER is expensive but at least they are not there to socialize! Nurse that took my vitals used to work for my PCP, so I am familiar, seemed dead inside. NEVER GOING BACK. OVERSIGHT LIFESPAN!

The service here is awful, the medical providers are LAZY! Called in advance to make sure they were open, when I got there Mrs Trenchbull in the front desk told me they closed 30 min early because the providers had a a long day! So, actually If I could, I give you guys no stars.

I’ve been here at least an hour for a potential broken finger, I hear the staff out in the hall, laughing and carrying on, but have not been seen by a provider yet

I’ve gone here several times over the last few years and it’s never been less than an hour wait. I left today because there were people in the waiting room who had already been waiting TWO HOURS! This place needs more doctors in it or it’s needs to be shut down. There’s no way cause to have people who need help wait that long!

Terrible service. Not really equipped with good customer service or knowledgeable folks. Stand around talking while people wait for hours on end to be seen. Attitude is they could care less. Do not waste your time or money.

Clean, orderly, organized. Showed up at 745 am before they opened at 8 and was 3rd in line. Was taken back around 830 and out just after 9.

Tested me for illnesses I wasn't showing symptoms for. Charged my insurance $300 for these tests plus another amount for the visit, which luckily I only had to pay the deductible.

Didn't prescribe me antibiotics for what I actually was showing symptoms, and I had to wait a week for my PCP appt to get the right medicine which would've helped more if I had gotten them sooner.

They're nice people, but this was a money grab from my insurance and an example of our failed health care system.

I must say if I could give more then 5 Stars! I would.
I walked in feeling like death, Gina the receptionist was so welcoming she must have seen how horrible I was feeling, she checked me in and got me in the back with in like 30 minutes.
I was taken care of by Olivia "what an angel" she made sure I was seen right away, I was having difficult swallowing and my fever was high. Doc came in treated me right away. The staff where amazing they went above and beyond to make sure I was feeling better. They allowed me to sit in the back till my son came to get me, which they didn't have too. I totally recommend this clinic
Sincerely
Nury

I went there today they made me wait one hour after that they told me they can't do anything for me or even transfer me to a specialist although I went to another urgent care in other place before and it was similar situation and they helped me and sent me to specailist with no problem at all. So they just don't care at all whatever you feel pain or not. I don't recommend this place at all

I would give this place a negative five if it were possible. Don’t even waste your time, call a vets office and beg to be seen before coming here. This place is the perfect example of our failed healthcare system. Glad that my insurance doesn’t owe this place a nickel. Will NEVER return.

I had an ear issue, as things did not go as planned with the do-it-yourself ear-flushing kit at home.

They were able to flush my ear immediately, which was such a relief, and explained me the process. Great team and quick service.

I arrived at 8: 00am there were already several people ahead of me. I had a sore throat, cough and fever evening before. I had Covid and strep test even prior to the physician came in. Dr Morgera came in examined me. He discussed plan, gave discharge instruction and I was out by 8: 50. I was very impressed.
