Newport Avenue Pizzeria

Yesterday had a large order we were told 45 min turned out to be almost 2 hours! They are under new management they are not organized at all! Left very angry! Been going there since we moved here 12 years ago so disappointed! We won’t be going back ever!

Excellent pizza and veal and chicken parm subs, highly recommended. Friendly staff, excellent service.

Last 2 deliveries with grub hub. Food total flop! Obviously no food experience to send a cheeseburger sub the way they did. Pictures say it all. Don't order from these guys if you don't care about quality of food. Examples of food sent to me, after advising issues. Service went down. My last order I had to go to front of home an obtain a cold cheeseburger after speaking with the delivery driver he still left it on someone else's door. My directions are specific. They did not follow the directions.

Never get a pizza delivered to you the price changes every time you order it I have paid up to $24 for a medium pizza and as low as $12 for the same pizza they are robbing people

"Newport Avenue Pizza, please hold" is how they answer the phone. Wait for a few minutes, then they come back. Order two pizzas for delivery. A pepperoni pizza and a mushroom and olive pizza. "OK, hold on. " Back on hold. "Ok, one pizza for delivery". Nope. I want two pizzas. One pepperoni, one mushroom and olive. Ok.
What did I get delivered? A pepperoni pizza, and a mushroom and SPINACH pizza. Call to inform them of the error. "Newport Avenue Pizza, please hold".
Do your job. Realize that that phone ringing is a customer wanting to give you MONEY. Realize that you will never get my business again. Please hold.

***Update ***
Just tried again. After 3 years. Answered phone, placed order abd ask for my total. I ordered two calzones @ 14.25 apiece and was told my total would be $42. I asked why and the woman on the phone said "I don't know, I just put the order in and the total comes up. Delivery charge maybe? ". I said no, you have free delivery, she said they did not, I have the menu in my hand that says Free Delivery.
She basically wouldn't question the total. Machine says 42.42.
Never again. Wish I could do zero stars.

Had the Hawaiian Pizza & Steak and Cheese Grinder. It was phenomenal! Definitely reccomend trying it out.

My husband and I have been going here for years and the past few months the quality has gone down, Was told cheese burgers don't come on grinder rolls anymore that they are only on the children menu and every calzone he has ordered has been burnt so bad its unedible. So disappointed because the food was so good.

I have been very happy with this pizza, especially being a person from N. Y. I do notice there is a difference in the pizza when you pick it up vs.when it is delivered. Pick your pizza up people!

Must be under new management or ownership? Pizza used to be great and was similar to pizza from New York where I grew up. Over the last month it’s thicker crust, too chewy and the sauce had no flavor or salt. More greasy than normal as well. Lastly I think the chicken fingers used to be made in house with real chicken. They switched to frozen processed fingers from a box. Disappointed as it was my go to for pizza.

Ordered a simple large pepperoni pizza well done at 8: 30 pm and was told it would only take 15 minutes to be made over the phone and I was asked if i could make it there in exactly 15 minutes when the female proceeded to giggle on the phone - feeling rushed I said yes of course. Showing up at 8: 46 pm to pay for the pizza and then tell the staff their hours say they're open until 10: 00 pm on Google and that should be changed if they weren't open until that time. While being there another customer was calling and the gentleman cooking the pizzas instructed the girls to NOT pick up the phone and ignore the call. Why not just tell them you would be closing and no longer taking any orders? Not my problem I guess, however I get home to only find out the pizza I had been rushed to pick up and pay for was already cold and it was 5 minutes from the pizza location to my home. Very upset with this experience and do not plan on going back simply because I paid for a hot dinner not a cold pizza I could've bought from Stop and Shop myself.

I have never eaten from here but do Doordash and whenever I step foot in there I wanna puke. It is so dirty and nasty. Doesn't anyone know how to clean?

This place used to be good, but now it is HORRIBLE! Do not order from here! The pizza was cold and gross. The delivery driver was obnoxious and EXTREMELY RUDE! I called the place to complain, but the person wouldn't believe anything I said, and then said
it was my fault. The driver had already told them that she was waiting right outside my house the entire time, but my neighbors have cameras that can prove the driver wasn't here. NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!

For the price you pay you can't go wrong top notch pizza and good food friendly staff.

OMG ssssooooooo good.

Tried a pizza there last week and a Chicken Parm sandwich last night. Looks like I may have found a new local pit stop for when I don't want to cook for myself. I will be sampling more of their menu.

Reasonable pizza at a decent price run by nice people and a great location on Newport Ave.

Was not happy with the pizza dough. It was so thin and chewy. Definetely never ordering there again.

I LOVE their pizza and wings! I normally get the Margherita and chicken bacon ranch pizza and it never fails. It’s always made on time and the employees are friendly

Pizza we ordered was excellent. First time trying this place but we will definitely be ordering from them again.

Purchased a fish and rice and a hamburger pizza. Food is always fresh. So dang good. Will be ordering again from this place. #getsome #Delicious
