Newport Hospital reviews
8I recently had knee replacement surgery at Newport Hospital and my experience was wonderful! Everyone and I mean EVERYONE was kind, caring, patient, understanding, and friendly. They took very good care of me. The staff explained and made sure that I understood what was going to happen now and in the near future. They allayed any fears that I had about the surgery. I am very grateful to Newport Hospital and their excellent staff for a great experience. Thank you.
Appreciated the care and skill shown by the staff at Vanderbilt. We truly appreciate the compassion shown to my dad. Big thanks to Lorraine at the front desk.
I went to the emergency room and was promptly received and brought to a room. About an hour or so a woman dr came in for about 5 minutes, said I would be sent for an xray and also given some medication.and hour later I went for an xray - nevery got any medication. Another 2 hours another woman dr poked her head in to tell me there was nothing more they could do for me and I would be released All that for $7672.pretty expensive bill for very little care. I also got to watch the staff all gather to acknowledge the nurse of the month and receive a bouquet of flowers. I wonder what your aillment needs to be for just a little bit more care 5 hours total! I should be thankful
I have to give the highest shout out to a Security staff. Gonsalves C. He's the most helpful sweetest man ever.
ER staff was really nice and thorough. Did not feel rushed at all and felt like they were taking my concerns seriously.
After living in Newport over 50 years, I can say that Newport Hospital was great, and they keep winning awards for being better than other hospitals, but now the FOOD. Oh my lord, has it gone downhill! Years ago Christine Ashley was head cook in the kitchen but now they have changed over to pre-sealed food and brown lettuce! Yes, brown lettuce in Newport. There is no place in Newport for brown lettuce, sorry folks, IDK where this food is coming from but I can buy a fresher salad or sandwich from a gas station convenience store. I would have liked to give 4 stars despite the food but when you look at the health aspect of it, no, the food is bad and everything else is good.
I was in need of an angiogram CT scan and all the hospitals in my area were booked until April, I called Newport and they were able to get me in on the following Monday. The proceedure was done and it is now Wednesday and the results have still not appeared on the portal and my doctor has still not recieved them.
I find this unprofessional and not in the best interest of the patient. Hanging in the air about my heart is not only frustrating but mentally poor.
Calling the hospital seems to be a run around, the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing.
Wonderful emergency room and in patient staff! But food is one rung above disgusting; It is just puzzling why they can’t improve it. Food is important for reasons other than basic nutrition, when you are sick it is so healing to have nice food! It’s like the food you got in school cafeterias in the 60s where everything came out of cans.
