Convenient, 2 blocks to Ferry landing, very walkable. On-site restaurants, catering for events, professional conference services, the works. Wonderful views from conference hall.

First, props to the women who were working the counter in the starbucks/coffee area in the a.m. Shift. Super hard working and very friendly.

Outside of that the rest of the hotel was just "meh". Hallways were dirty though room was clean. They want to give it a "destination" feel but it was definitely not feeling like a traditional destination Marriott. Most staff was very snobbish in traditional Newport mentality but, again, the coffee service was not.

If I returned to the area, would definitely pursue a different hotel option given the overall cost.

Stayed here with my mom, dad, and brother for 2 days. We originally parked in the lot next door but had to pay a fee of $40 each day so instead, we switched to valet. As you’re walking into the hotel, it smells amazing. Not sure if the rug is sprayed with something but 10 out of 10. The lobby is really pretty between the colors, the fountain and the small cascading waterfall wall. Everything looked clean. The room was nice and the shower was amazing but I did find a small yellow stain on one of the face towels. No big deal, mistakes happen and can be improved. The beds were very comfortable and the view from our window was amazing, especially during the sunset. The hotel itself is in a great location because the shops, food, and ocean are in walking distance. My family and I will be returning soon to explore more of what Newport has to offer

What can improve the hotel is replacing the hallway rugs to hardwood floors and the overall look to match the lobby’s aesthetic. As my family and I walked off the elevator to our room, there was a weird smell of mildew and it was a bit dark. I also suggest replacing some of the outdoor benches where the entrance is strictly for appearance. The pool room needs more ventilation as the air is somewhat stuffy from being warm. The hotel can also provide flyers in rooms of activities to do, food in the area, etc for first time visitors to Newport

Nice location which allows a quick walk to Bowens wharf and to other neighborhoods too. Has only valet parking on site. Our room overlooked the Newport Gulls baseball field but some will have water views. We did not eat breakfast or try the bar so I can’t comment on those and why I am only giving four stars. There is a Starbucks counter inside for your morning coffee. Walk in shower. I would stay again.

TERRIBLE customer service, concierge only works 5 days a week, 9-5. They want you to do all your own bookings online and offer very little assistance. I walked up during those hours the concierge’s was standing at the reservation desk literally looked at me and walked away to go on a break Could not get any spa reservations, It took 35 minutes for breakfast, and when the order came, it was wrong, the rooms are ridiculously small, the bathroom is cramped.but the worst part is that most of the staff is apathetic at best. They do not care! Do not stay here!

Marriott properties have consistently gone down hill over the last 3-5 years. What once used to be a good consistent product now has the feel of a business that is being allowed to die off. This property is no exception to this. Small details from broken curtain slides on the windows, mildew smell in the hallways and having to remind housekeeping to clean the room are being overlooked.

Very nice hotel. Held true to the Marriott standard. Wasn't a huge fan of the room decor and balconies facing into the courtyard interior. But I'd gladly stay there again.

It is a beautiful location with a well-done nautical theme. From the moment we arrived, the valet was super professional and knowledgeable. They gave detailed information on the area. M-Club is on point, too! Overall, it is a place to continue staying.

Worst Stay Ever at a Marriott! Room walls are PAPER THIN, I cannot stress this enough and we heard people talking next to us like they where liters in our room.

The worst part was a dog that started barking at 2: 00 am and did NOT stop All night long.

Last was upon checkin we were told we were being charged a $30 per person tourist fee. SURPRISE.

Luckily we will give you credit but it has to be spent at our hotel. If you don’t spend it you loose $60. Awesome what a SCAM!

All this for $500 a night…. NEVER AGAIN!

Beautiful hotel in an even more amazing area! My wife and I stayed for only a night but we were completely blown away at the beauty of the area and the hotel! Definitely a top place to stay!

For $750 a night, I was expecting a lot more. We arrived a little before 3 pm and was told that check in is at 4. We informed the receptionist that we have a 6 month old that needs to be nurse and asked if there are any other available rooms. She said NO. While waiting in the lobby, we saw families that arrived after us, checked in, dropped of their luggage and proceeded with their day while we're still waiting. 4 o'clock comes around and room is still not ready. Didn't seem like there was any type of urgency given our situation. When we finally got our keys, room was total motel vibes, with a view looking directly into the parking structure.
Receptionist wasn't amicable, she was so brief when I was asking questions about the "Destination charge". It just seems like a big money grab. Lastly make sure you check your receipts. The invoice at check out was more than what I had spent at the bar. They also only credited one night of destination charge instead of two. Had to send multiple emails and phone calls to their accountant detailing how I derived at my number. She agreed with my math, only to refund me less than what she agreed to. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND STAY ELSEWHERE.

Stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding nearby, and it was a great hotel. It is large, very clean, pretty, and the staff were all very kind from the front desk to the housekeeping. It has several restaurants on site, but we only ate at the Main sail for breakfast both days and it was delicious. Bathrooms were very clean which is very important to me. Great hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel in a great location. Clean and spacious rooms, polite staff. The unofficial "starbucks" in the lobby was perfect for breakfast, although the line did get long at times. They had fun water dispensers around the halls, but don't provide cups to go along with them, so bring a water bottle or reusable mug. The kids liked the pool - the water was very warm.
