Newport RV Park, Portsmouth RI

First time there. Great friendly helpful staff that answers their phones always. Do the research on type site you like through their site map. My favorite spots were down at the bottom row near site 211 with lots of tree protection with plenty of shade. Some are full sun on the upper level. Close by to hot spots of Newport along with many other sites to see. Nice secluded spot at night and quiet. We used our AT&T and Verizon hotspots and both worked well. Our Verizon cell service was fine. We spent a week there. I recommend a safer entrance and exit to the site using a traffic light to cross. If headed north on 114 use a left onto Stringham Rd and a right onto Sullivan Dr. Crossing Rt144 onto Bradford Ave.with your Rig can is hazardous because of the high speeds and volume of traffic. I'll be back next season

I have been visiting this park for many years attending area Newport Music festivals. It is well run and very clean. They have expanded by adding more RV sites which are crowded. I prefer the older wooded sites area. There is a very small playground I hope they have plans to improve! Great accessibility to downtown Newport and beaches as well.

The sites were a little too close together not well thought out for the larger RVs and very bland no real amenities kind of blah

There are some really nice sites in this campground but we unfortunately were in a new area that was not shaded or kind of private like the nicer sites. The restrooms are good. The laundry has two washing machines but only one of them is working and a seasonal camper told me that it hadn't been working since May.
The staff are very nice and very helpful. This campground has great potential, but it has no pool or amenities and it's one of the more expensive campgrounds we've ever been to.

This place is great- clean, quiet and well-kept. The RV spaces are good sized and we were easily able to back up our vehicle /RV despite being pretty new to backing up! Bathrooms are amazing as they are air conditioned and thus smell better than ours at home! While we’d like to do the full season, it is quite pricey. $$$.

A+ overall.

We have stayed here twice now. Friendly staff, nice campground. A variety of both wooded sites or newer more open sites. Great location not far from Newport. A little pricey but it is the Newport area and still much cheaper than a hotel in town.

Very clean and well kept. A picnic table and/or fire pit in the larger pull through site area would be nice. Great customer service. Would return.

This park was nice. The showers were pretty good, and it was in an area close to everything else.

The most expensive place I've ever stayed at. $160.00 per night for weekend was a bit out of hand. The wifi and cable were down for 2 days. They tried to blame me but miraculously the next 2 campgrounds we went to everything worked fine.
Otherwise extremely clean spacious and well kept.
I'm sure they're happy that we won't be coming back.

For tents, it's really terrible. We had a field with no table, no space to make a campfire and lots of fallen trees and branches everywhere. It didn't look like a pitch at all. We had to go to the land of our friends who had an RV space at the other end of the campsite. The toilets were minimally maintained. Very, very expensive for what we had. Maybe it's good for RVs, but not for tents at all. Really disappointed and won't be going back.

Amazing layout, trees and breathing space. Friendly staff. Big and clean open areas for big rigs. Covered area for group activities. Children play park far from main campground area. Most awesome dog park, with separate sections for small and big dogs. Everything looks new and well maintained. Highly recommended.

Newport RV Resort is exceptional!

We’re not even typical campers, but we “GLAMPED” in one of their ultra-modern, tastefully refinished Airstream campers for the weekend. Amazing! The property is very close to everything in Newport. We loved it, and already booked our return trip for next year!

Nice RV park. It seems like they are in the process of renovating the campground, but it’s already in pretty good condition.

Great site, lots of room, trees, clean, cared for, wonderful park next door - definitely one of our faves.

Excellent location to visit Newport and the mansions. Full hook ups at all sites. Restroom and shower clean. Excellent 4G cell service with Verizon and good WiFi available. Extra bonus: Pete's ice cream truck comes around each evening with delicious ice cream and more!
