Restaurant Newport Vineyards reviews
20This was a wonderful winery & taproom. We walked in and were sat right away by the host. They offer a great selection of white, red, and rosè wines. There was quite a list of great beers too. We ordered a few appetizers which were hot and fresh. As we walked out, we grabbed a few bottles of our favorite wine we sampled on our flights. The facility was exceptionally clean. Great place to try if you're into wine.
Wine and Cheese pairing. It was a true pleasure to enjoy an evening of wine, local cheese and of course the Pumpkin beer with desert. Thank you to the chef. We also found the Newport salt in the store.
We went there to celebrate Newport Restaurant week, and every dish was an experience. We absolutely recommend this place for yummy food and drinks with friends.
The food and drinks were fantastic and Cherie, our server, was so incredibly knowledgeable about everything! Colleen is so talented and really makes the menu perfect!
We got the mac & cheese, the "low & slow" baguette, and the pork belly grilled cheese- all excellent. We also did a wine flight and some sangria, plus the skillet cookie for dessert. Seriously can't recommend this place enough.
Great wine, food, & service! This was our third time this week for wine and food! This time we had a case of Pinot Gris shipped to us in South Carolina! Beautiful Vineyard!
Deeply disappointed. Went there today with friend and our dogs. We’re told very rudely by a woman in a golf cart that dogs are not allowed. Was told this has been the case for a few years now. We took our dog there in late spring and had lunch, nothing said about the dog. They even bought out a bowl of water for her. The place was so much better and accommodating years ago. And we have been case club members for almost 15 years.
One of my favorite vineyards in New England, even if you don’t go on a tour you can get your hand stamped to go out in the back and enjoy wine & food, and walk around the vineyard or sit and enjoy your drinks.
2022: Good wines, but very crowded now. We do liked it better when it was a local secret gem prior to 2015.2018: Good as always. I have been a regular customer for over 10 years. Wine testing is $15 unless you are member of case club (i.r. You bought a case) and then it is free.
Beautiful place. We ordered a cheese board and wine tasting of 4 cups and we loved it. The view from the dining area is great and service was even better. Many thanks to our server who recommended the Great White wine. Delicious.
The restaurant was very comfortable.definitely a farm to table vibes. The vine too. The staff was very nice, thank you Dave and the rest of the staff. My God Daughter really enjoyed her 21st.
Beautiful property. We visited 3x for live music and dinner recently. Food is inconsistent but some menu items were creative and delicious. Intense rules: Our child couldn’t eat a snack while on a blanket listening to music after dinner.
Worst experience today. They placed us in the worst seats in the restaurant and didn’t let us switch. Management is very rude. Food is average.
Incredibly rude staff. Showed up 15 min early for our reservation and were told we could not be sat nor could we sit at their bar. We had to stand in line to get a glass of wine and just walk through their gift shop until the exact time for the reservation, which would not have been an issue except for the incredibly rude gentleman and lady that worked the host stand. The vineyard should re-evaluate who they have interfacing with patrons.
The service was weird and not user friendly. Not surprised based on prior experience but you always hope it'll be better next time. Plus there are people with dogs that they say are service dogs with no papers or apparent need for service dogs. Maybe I should just say my dog is a service dog?
I've been here several times and really enjoyed it. However, today was the exception. I called ahead of time to check the hours and was not told that I needed a reservation. Upon arrival we were told that we needed reservations to be seated if we'd like to eat and would not be seated for 2 hours. Your website also told us that reservations were not required. We bought 3 flights and sat on the outdoor chairs. When we left we noticed that there were at least 8-10 tables unoccupied. That is poor business on your end. Why would you turn away a walk-in customer when you have tables available? I also work at a winery in Connecticut and we never turn people away like I was today. Not sure i will be returning! I'm very disappointed in the service I received.
Such a wonderful experience. The hospitality with Logan as our server and the quality of food were tremendous. I recommend the cheese board and pretzel snacks with the amazing wines. Great job and much continued success.
All of the white and rose were perfect for summer. Vineyard is wonderful to walk through with shady places to sit and cornhole in the vineyard.
I was really upset with my visit this past Sunday. I had never been before and I made a reservation for 5 of us to sit and have lunch. When I checked in with the hostess I was directed outside where there was standing only and you ordered drinks and snacks separately, I was a little confused by this. When the rest of the my party arrived the hostess told them that we originally had a reservation at the restaurant but if we wanted to go outside we needed to cancel the reservation. So unknowingly my friend canceled. I realized right away that a mistake was made and went to the hostess stand to tell her we in fact did want to sit for lunch. In the 5 minutes it took me to go over she gave our table away. The manager informed me that I would need to wait an hour for a table although they made the mistake. I would not go back I felt like they handled this very poorly without even an apology.
There is so much to do here. We visited the vineyard for a tasting and checked out the gift shop after. Sit in the vineyard- you won’t regret it!
Super unfriendly, sad, upset, rude staff with a god complex or something.
Every single time I've been here SOMEONE (working) has a problem to voice about something.
Twice I was told the vineyards were open to walk around and TWICE the same short female employee yelled at a group to get off the fields?
Rude. And your property isnt that nice so chill. Thanks.
