Pane e Vino, Providence RI

There is not enough stars to rate this restaurant. We have been here at least a dozen times and they have knocked it out of the park on all occasions. From staff to food, there is no competition on the hill. Austin at the front (manager) is such a beautiful person. He runs that place so well and treats his customers with respect and kindness. Enough can’t be said about him. His brother Alex, behind the bar is equally fantastic. He knows his menu and his drinks. He is attentive, courteous and remembers what I had the time before (appetizers, drinks and dinner). Kenny (also on the bar) is fantastic. Great at what he does, polite and a good conversationalist! This restaurant cannot be beat as far as food goes. We have had almost everything on the menu and no dish has disappointed. This place is truly a unicorn as far as restaurants go. Consistently amazing us each and every time. Thank you guys for providing exceptional service ALWAYS!

The food, as always was spectacular! We had wonderful cocktails. David was our server and we really enjoyed him! It was a great mother's day/birthday!

Great experience in the past, first time in December. Attempted to bring two friends here (for what would of been their first experience) this past Sunday, February 26,2023 at 7: 30 P. M. I called at 6: 30 asking if I should make a reservation, "no, we are not that busy just come in" Upon arrival, was told (after being acknowledged as the person who called) that "it got busy, you will have to sit on the bar" The hostess seemed surprised of our departure. Landed at the a nearby Oyster Bar, for the first time and service was excellent. Disappointed prior to posting, my email explaining this was ignored.

TLDR: I loved this restaurant and really enjoyed the food. I would definitely love to come back. The atmosphere is great for an intimate dinner and the food was phenomenal. We had a bit of a wait on our food but it was delicious.

Food: The food was absolutely delicious! Even the bread at the beginning with oil and olives was great. I got the calamari which was very tender and delicious, and with lemon juice and pepperoncini it was a very good appetizer. For my main dish I got the Fusilli Ragu and was not at all disappointed, it was delicious.

Service: Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. She was kind and made some good recommendations for food. We had a bit of a wait on our food, but with our appetizer and bread as well as how delicious the food was, we were happy.

Atmosphere: The inside of the restaurant is very cozy, with nice mood lighting. Nice little intimate place, very good for a date or dinner with the family.

Overall I am very happy with Pane E Vino and the food is up with some of the beat Italian food I've eaten. I would absolutely recommend coming here!

We made reservations to celebrate my fathers 80th birthday over 6 weeks ago. This was a big celebration with close friends and family driving from all over include 4 hours away in New York. This restaurant took my mothers credit card information and then NEVER MADE THE RESERVATION. The woman in charge of large party reservations reserved at their sister restaurant Massimos instead and never told anyone! When we showed up at Pane e Vino, she refused to look up the records and the restaurant REFUSED to call Massimos like we asked insisting they were all booked. We were turned away and My father’s 80th birthday was ruined. To make it worse - Massimos called an hour later to find out why we never showed up! This woman should be fired. She is so incompetent and unprofessional. And shame on the manager of Pane e Vino for refusing to listen to us or make a simple phone call. AVOID BOTH THESE RESTAURANTS AT ALL COST!

Live posting while at restaurant as we were quickly disappointed… we Arrived for out 7pm reservation made on line, sat down and was told kitchen closes in 15 minutes… restaurant was full almost every table taken. Waiter then asked us to order 3 times in a short period of time. Ruined the experience before it even started. Then before meal was served they advised the bar is s closed. I would suggest dont make a 7pm reservation if you are not going to accommodate guests that arrive at that time……. But wait, the staffed sensed our disappointment, the Captain explained the shortened Sunday hours. They held bar open and and service improved greatly. They manages to salvage the dinner and then desert was comped. 2 stars to 4 stars with some strong customer service. We will be back.

Was visiting out of town and made some reservations here based on them having a fully GF menu. The food was tremendous. They brought out gluten free rolls as well. I am the type of person that rather just cook the meal herself cause it will be cheaper and normally taste better. This is one of the times it was well worth the money and experience. Samone was our waitress and she was friendly and attentive. I would absolutely eat here again if I am ever in the area again.

Best Italian restaurant in Federal Hill! Been here many times and have had a delicious meal every time. The service is also top notch, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Always great food! Decent service.
Not sure why reserving seats at the already extremely small bar are acceptable. Two seats left open as "Reserved" for at least two hours while patrons are standing. ‍️
Meanwhile hostess says "Bar is first come first serve".

What a gem. Party of 6. Saturday evenng.reservtion made.table on time. Mark took care of us and everyting was outstanding.service.food. Aps and Entrees were great. Birthday celebration for two in our party and Pane e Vino made it a special night. Thankyou! 1

Spectacular food and service. David was our waiter and he was very attentive. The menu had a little of everything and was delicious!

My guilty pleasure is the bread pudding here. While the food is alway delicious as the wine selection is top notch…. The bread pudding comes to mind first for me. So delicious

Fantastic place to eat. If someone in your family or party has food allergies, they are very sensitive to that. It is addressed as soon as you enter the restaurant. Great food! Service was excellent, a no-brainer when you are in Providence and want a good meal.

Beautiful restaurant, really cozy atmosphere inside and the food was phenomenal. Upscale and fancy but still has a cozy/rustic vibe.

Delicious Italian American starters, pastas and entrees. Friendly service and comfortable restaurant. Nice wine list.

My friend and I enjoyed a delicious meal at Pane E Vino. The veal chop and pasta fagioli was excellent. Ryan's homemade limoncello was delicious along with his expresso martini. Our waiters Joseph and Jona were attention to detail and very nice. Thank you Pane E Vino for wonderful service, excellent meal and letting us spend extra time before Ringo's show.

Simply brilliant Italian food, in a cosey atmosphere. Highly recommend the scallops! This place is worth the trip from anywhere, though make sure to make a reservation.

I first ordered Pane e Vino take out during the Pandemic in 2020 and it’s been a favorite take away place ever since. The food is delicious and consistent. The team has really mastered their take away packaging and keeps the food warm for an extended amount of time. Definitely give it a try if you’re thinking about it!

Excellent dining experience! Food and service were superb. Their wine list is amazing! The friendly Som Austin will gladly come to your table and educate you on different types of wines on offer. We had a wonderful time!
