Cafe Panera Bread reviews
17 Just got off the train from Boston, ordered,
then asked to use the restroom and was told it was for employees only. Tried to cancel the order. I will not return.
Food is solid and in line with Panera.
Reason for 1 star review is mainly that if I have to use the restroom when eating I have to walk all the way through the mall up multiple escalators to use when there is a bathroom in the restaurant. I also found the ordering kiosks don’t really work very well and not being able to order with an employee is annoying. Finally, the front door and main source of egress being locked from the inside and outside when multiple illuminated exit signs point towards it seems like a fire code violation? But I am not sure there.
Quite possibly the worst service of any fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. Literally zero customer service/engagement. 20 minutes for a couple of bagels and a fountain drink
Ordered a catering pick up for about $400. They gave my order to someone else but didn’t tell me until I asked them how much longer it would be. I had been there for 15 minutes.
One person offered to deliver it after the finished making it but I was already late for my meeting. I wasn’t going empty handed to a client meeting. He said it would take 15 minutes to remake my order.
After that in not one manager apologized or approached me. It took AN HOUR AND A HALF to get my order. I had to keep asking them where my order was. The response was we are bagging it. For over an hour.
I don’t care about the mix up. It happens. The overall service was horrendous. Outside of someone asking me if I wanted a coffee nothing else was offered or apologized for. I will never order from here again.
Front cashier customer service needs some overhaul. Employees were right there but ignored customers waiting to order. They expected ordering machine to take care of everything. Please focus on customer service and hire friendlier employees!
We ordered from this location today and our two drinks were missing from the order which is not the first time they have done this, and there was plastic found in our Mac n cheese. This is unacceptable
My mom ordered take out and dropped it off to me. Asked for no red onions on sandwich and 2 extra baguettes with 2 pick 2’s. It was all written out correctly on the receipt. She dropped it off and I opened the bag, realizing there were red onions on the sandwich and no baguettes at all. I called and the lady said they ran out of baguettes but only give something else when asked to. Offered to remake sandwich and give me other sides if I come in. I also dropped one of my smoothies but I didn’t even mention that since it was my own fault. Drove all the way back to get the baguettes, get the sandwich fixed, and order another smoothie. The manager, I believe, was super helpful and friendly. She gave me the 1/2 sandwich, smoothie, and a whole baguette for free! I had just told her I wanted to order another smoothie because I dropped my other one. I even offered to pay for the baguette and smoothie but she said it was fine, which was very nice of her. I also ordered another you pick 2 to-go. Got home and realized this sandwich was once again wrong; this time the sandwich was ordered as-is but was missing cilantro and pepadew peppers. The smoothie was chunky but it was free so I can’t complain at all about that! Both times the receipts were correct. The food was just wrong.
What a mess! My experience at Panera Bread was horrific. Order got lost after waiting for 45 minutes. Angry stuff. I will give zero star.
I don't get their hot tea. It doesn't taste anything like regular tea that you get in other bakery/cafe type places. I don't know if it's the water or the tea bags or both. In other places the water comes directly from the machine that heats the water rather than from a pump pot, and tea bags are a lot more substantial. Their pastry seems more like supermarket pastry from a box. The only thing like other bakery/cafes are the prices.
Need customer service 101 they put items in your order to replace items they don’t have that you have ordered and do not let you know.
Absolutely terrible service. I went to this location today where i placed an order for a small mac and cheese and small chicken noodle soup.after waiting 30 minutes, they tell us that they have been yelling to customers entering it’s going to be an hour wait (which no one ever said especially that you could see the cashier was miserable) it then becomes 1 hour and 20 minutes later and i asked how long it was be for “my name”. They said it wasn’t in there system and instead of helping me out, they ignored me.it wasn’t until my dad started a scene that we got some help.we ended up getting a refund and leaving.the staff behind the counter did not want to be there and were acting like children when they are working for a business.after reading these reviews and experiencing them first hand, i cannot believe this location is still up and running. I love panera bread back home, but this location is trash.
Please hire more employees!
I came during a 2hr break, spent about 40 minutes waiting when the women in front of me asked how long it would take - the employee said 40 more minutes. There was one guy making every order, please give him some help! Had to get a refund and leave, I thought 2 hrs was ample time for a fast food place.
I did not like how the manager handled it, she said we were told there was a wait and that just wasn't true, and she tried pushing the blame on the cashier.
2nd star was for timely refund, but management was not it.
Do you guys have a lost a found? My daughter recently lost her stuff animal on Tuesday. It’s a small pink owl thanks!
If this allowed zero stars that would be my rating. We ordered on the kiosk machines on-site. After we placed our orders we happened to hear about a 45-60 minute delay in receiving our orders. Then we had to wait for our orders to be canceled and refunds to be issued in a few days. Add to that the fact that patrons are not allowed to use the restrooms. Garbage.
If you do rapid pick up, you need to order 45 minutes in advance to get your order. I would say about 50% of the time my order has something wrong with it (something missing, not told they were out of the side and give you nothing, or the amount of times you order a cup for a drink they just don't give you the cup).
The location is downtown PVD and one of the few locations around here you can walk over to get lunch at if you work in the area. The food is mostly good, but there have been times it tastes stale.
It would be great if Panera PVD location had corporate revamp it or something. There seems to never be enough employees working, ingredients are constantly out of stock, and the grubhub / uber eats always seems to take up all the time and priority.
Most of the employees and managers are friendly (others seem like you are bothering them by asking for an item you PAID for and didn't get), but there are a lot of times you have to stand at the counter and wait for them to finish their personal conversation to help you. With being on lunch break and having only so much time to spare, this is really discouraging.
I hope it eventually figures out its flaws and starts to improve.
Was going to rate service a 2 but when an employee who was close by having her lunch overheard us talking about our order mix up, she got up, came over and took care of things for us. I wish everyone working in retail or food services was like her. In this day and age I am surprised when someone does something like this. So thankyou to this wonderful lady.
I had dinner with my mom and one of my sisters. We ordered the Frozen Caramel Cold Brew, Sausage & Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza and a plain bagel with cream cheese. It came to about $22. I give it four stars because the prices and the atmosphere wasn't perfect. But I would go back there again to try the breakfast items
