My wife and I sold our Las Vegas home this past September and we decided to move back to Rhode Island so we could be closer to our family. Unfortunately Mom passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 1st, 2021. So instead of buying a new home we decided to purchase Mom's home. We knew it would be a battle because Mom did not have a will and her home was on a reverse mortgage. So we called Pelletier Marshall & Clark and set up an appointment to meet and discuss our options. I originally met PM&C when I purchased my first house in 2016. It’s been so long now that I don’t remember the specifics, but the process was so smooth, I decided to use them again when my business decided to purchase a commercial building. When I reached out to Brad, who helped us close on our house, he said his partner Marlene handled the commercial business and that I’d be in good hands. Boy was he right. I had actually started the whole process with a different lawyer that the owner of the building we’re buying recommended, but made the change when they weren’t being responsive enough. Marlene and I had a quick introduction on the phone so she could familiarize herself with our story. I learned more and felt more comfortable in the 15 minutes I spent with her, then the 3+ weeks I spent with the other guy. I had been working with a group of men who were fast talkers, spoke over me and I felt completely lost. But when Marlene came into the picture I felt looked out for. She is a serious Lady Boss. She knows her stuff, is so responsive (I worry a little bit about her work life balance), and gets things done in a very professional manner! We have not even finished with the closing, and I usually wait until everything is wrapped up before I leave a review, but I cannot recommend her highly enough and am 100% confident my feelings for her and her work won’t change after the closing.
