Pierre R. Michaud, MD reviews
12If you have any chronic diagnosis or any other health problems, look else where. I repeatedly told him that I had other concerns about my ability to fight infection after surgery. He wrote me off. I called him 16 days post op with a fever of 103 and was basically told it wasn’t from surgery. I was admitted to the hospital immediately for sepsis and he refused to admit me to the hospital he works at. In his own ignorance Yale was able to correct my sepsis infection and found at 13cm abscess in my breast. This was after I requested antibiotics from him numerous times as I was nervous about this very think happening. So here I sit 7 days in the hospital. Please go somewhere else. He is a one man team and definitely WILL NOT be on your side.
As a husband of a breast cancer/reconstruction patient, meeting him face to face with the photo albums in front of you and his slick words of "simple incisions", doesn't prepare you for reality and and the mental preparedness for the future. What a joke!
Dr. Michaud and his staff are truly amazing. Throughout the entire journey of my surgery they have been extremely helpful and courteous. I was nervous but I was in good hands! I’m so thankful I chose to have my procedure done with Dr. Michaud. I’m a few days post op and I am in love with my results. I definitely recommend this facility if you are thinking of getting any cosmetic work done!
Dr Pierre Michaud and his team are AMAZING! Throughout my journey I have received the best care. I'm very happy with the results of my surgery.
After speaking with one of Dr. Michaud's former patients regarding her recent visit to his office, I am compelled to share this piece of information to all women who may seek out his "professional opinion" of Breast Implant Illness- Google this term if you are unfamiliar. For one, Dr. Michaud displayed an utter lack of respect and compassion to his former breast cancer survivor patient whom he had performed breast reconstruction for. She went to him, explained her concerns about some health complications that she has developed and after doing her own thorough research, had come to the conclusion that she may be suffering from Breast Implant Illness, a very well documented and medically validated condition that hundreds of thousands of women have experienced. Not only did he dismiss her without letting her get a word in and possibly educate him, but he also thought he was being cute by adding in that he too was "losing his hair haha" - in response to her expressing one of many symptoms (and again, researched and validated symptoms of BII) that she experiences. The skill of this surgeon to perform breast augmentation may be high, however, his lack of compassion, his unprofessionalism with a former patient (who he already got paid from!), and his inability to keep up with medical literature on the very subject in which he practices, should be concerning to all and a deterrent to those seeking true, honest, and transparent information about breast implants, or breast explant/removal. Dr. Michaud brushed his former patient off by asking "Do you think we would put implants into people if it made them sick? - No". Which could maybe be said 5+ years ago, but with the literature that has been made available, it is not longer factual to state that breast implants are "safe". Every surgery comes with risks and ultimately it is up to the individual to determine the risk/benefit of any procedure and make that choice. Part of informed consent is being given all of the information, the good, the bad, the ugly. Dr. Michaud may not want to perform proper explant/capsulectomy because he has not been trained to do so and that is fine - However, it should be noted that his lack of knowledge on this subject is very apparent and it is not only unethical, but dangerous and unprofessional for him to conduct himself the way he did. Please seek another surgeon who is willing to remain up to date on the research and literature in their field. There are many surgeons who acknowledge Breast Implant Illness (BII) and will give you the respect you deserve when discussing this topic. Dr. Michaud is not one of them.
Dr. Michaud does incredible work. He is sweet, kind and takes care of his patients so well. He made changes to my nose to make it straight and so beautiful. Even more beautiful then I could have ever envisioned! Know that you are in very good hands with any surgery you choose!
I highly recommend Dr Michaud. He is an amazing doctor. I have never had an issue with him or his office staff!
Dr. Michaud is very pleasant, knowledgeable and a very talentented plastic surgeon. I'm just a few days pre-op of my abdominoplasty and I see a beautiful outcome already. Thank you so much Dr. Michaud and all of his staff!
Dr. Michaud is one the kindest person I know. The staff is very professional and friendly.
Dr. Michaud and his staff couldn’t be more professional & efficient as well as supportive and compassionate. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone.
Dr. Michaud is a kind and skilled surgeon. He focuses on patients and their comfort through throughout the process. I had reconstruction surgery after breast cancer with a double Mx, and love the results - right portions, no infections and built in away that they feel natural in my body.
Absolutely AMAZING. Dr. Michaud and his staff are brilliant, professional and caring. I wish he was my primary care physician. I have referred too many to count.
