Mary is doing a great job of helping me be fit as I age ;) She listens, watches, puts me through the paces, etc.to understand what exactly I need and applies all her knowledge and experience to help me reach my goals.

Dr Mary Keough is a lifesaver! After my bad back injury, she rescued me—using skill-full technique, training, compassion and intelligence. Restore Physical Therapy is a great place. A well run organization.

Excellent personalized program, got me back on track! I had sciatic nerve pain that was progressively getting worse, to the point where sitting for long periods of time was unbearable. I had tried a different PT place that was more of a one and done treatment that didn't work at all. Dr. Mary Keough was excellent. She set up a personalized program with office appointments every few weeks to learn new exercises and stretches. She customized the exercises based on my abilities and gradually added more challenging. The exercise program was loaded to a convenient app (Train Heroic) where I was able to complete on my own at home, 3 to 4 days per week. I am happy to say that I am back on track, now working on my own and incorporating the exercises into my overall workout program. I would highly recommend Mary and the staff at Restore Physical Therapy!

Dr Mary K is a gem. She helped me overcome a shoulder and bicep injury through a mix of massage, dry needling and targeted personal training. I’m delighted with the care I received and highly recommend Dr. Mary.

You have not experienced true PT until you’ve worked with Amanda. It is the opposite of the assembly line factory style of most PT offices. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable and highly skilled. She will address your problems, not just alleviate symptoms and you will have her undivided attention. Amanda has helped save my massage therapy career!

Restore PT is 10/10! Dr. Mary Keough worked on me for a few months for lower back pain/herniated disc and helped me so much! She pushed me and motivated me to work hard in order to combat the pain and keep it from occurring. She programmed specific at-home workouts and exercises for me that I could do at my own leisure. She is super easy to get in contact with- either by text or through the app! Their office is clean and is located inside of Olympia Fitness gym- giving easy access to weights, etc.for your exercises! Amanda and Mary are invested in your health and well-being and I cannot recommend them enough!

I’ve been struggling for years with various hip and low back issues while squatting heavy. So much so, I took a break from lifting for a long time! After starting back up recently, I started having low back and tailbone pain while squatting.

Instead of pushing through it, like I normally try to do, I decided to reach out to Amanda at Restore PT for help. I actually live in San Diego, CA, but knew Amanda to be a reputable PT, so I asked if she could accommodate virtual assessments.

I sent her some iPhone videos of my squatting and she was able to dissect the heck out of every frame in my videos, diagnosing several issues with glute engagement that were causing me to overcompensate with my back to make it through my squats.

She scheduled a zoom call with me to walk me through everything she was seeing, and I even performed a few moves for her over zoom to help clarify other issues she suspected.

From there, Amanda sent me my rehab plan through an awesome app that prescribed my PT movements and included super helpful movement videos so I knew exactly how to perform the moves.

I decided to film myself doing my PT so she could check on form which was also incredibly helpful because she corrected a few things and got me going!

I didn’t think I would be able to get back on track with my squatting goal so fast, but just weeks after I started doing Amanda’s PT plan I was able to hit 2 new PRs in both squats and deadlift with zero tailbone and low back pain. I’ve since noticed by glutes are growing and getting even stronger which is always a plus!

Thanks again to Dr. Amanda & her team at Restore PT Rhode Island!

I’ve been working with Dr. Mary Keough for the past few months and, thanks to her guidance and expertise, have completely recovered from a recent neck and shoulder injury. As a lifelong athlete I’ve had the benefit of working with many physical therapists for all sorts of injuries, and Dr. Mary is the best I’ve worked with. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Have had great results working with Mary. Training for an endurance race and had a calf strain that was making it nearly impossible to run even a single mile. Mary broke down the plan and the injury very well and I am back on track with 10 weeks to go in prep. Thank you Mary. #ironman703 #maine

Working with Dr. Mary has been a great experience. I was nursing a low back issue for a couple of years prior to seeing her. She came up with a plan and we have monthly check-ins allowing her to adjust the exercises based on my progress. My back and overall strength is the best it has been in years. I am lucky to be able to work with Dr. Mary and Restore.

I was a mess before working with Dr. Mary Keough. I had poor mobility and pain due to a right hip impingement. I also had sciatica on the same side so severe that I could only sit for ten minutes at a time. With Mary's help and expertise, I regained mobility, strength and my sciatica is gone. Thank you Mary, much love.

I started working with Dr. Amanda in May of this year (2022), and I'm so glad I did! As a health & fitness professional, I've been training myself for the last several years while working with massage therapists, a physical therapist, and a chiropractor to help me maintain my physical health. However, I was finally ready for more and was considering hiring a personal trainer but intuitively felt like I needed something "in between" what I was already doing and starting personal training. I met Dr. Amanda through a common client and after hearing about how she worked with her patients, decided this was the next best step for me. Working with Dr. Amanda these past several months has been a game-changer, both personally and professionally. I love everything I'm learning to help my body recover from the old nagging injuries and compensations I developed over the years and feel ready and confident to return to activities I've been sidelined from for years (playing soccer, running). With the activities I've continued doing (lifting, walking, hiking, surfing, swimming), I've experienced less pain, shorter recovery times and better performance. Not to mention that so much of what I am learning, I can share with my own clients, enhancing my training and coaching programs. Since Dr. Amanda went out on maternity leave a couple months ago, I've been working with her assistant Dr. Mary, and my experience with her has been nothing short of awesome too. I can't say enough about Restore Physical Therapy and highly recommend them to anyone looking for one-on-one attention whether you're recovering from a recent injury or surgery or trying to overcome old nagging injuries and improve your performance or quality of life. Between the hands-on manipulations, massage, dry-needling, stretching, and exercise programming, I get exactly what I need each time I go to keep me making overall forward progress. Thank you for everything Restore PT! I look forward to continuing our work together.

Great experience with Restore! Amanda has me back on track after a few minor injuries added up to sideline me from my favorite recreational activities.

After years of revolving door PT for common minor injuries (mainly back, neck, and knee), I was ready for a different approach that would prevent re-injury. Amanda designed a tailored, comprehensive program for full body strength & flexibility, taking into account my specific problem areas.

I access the workouts via an app on my phone, performing them when and where it works best for me. I provide comments through the app, and Amanda provides timely updates for future workouts. The app even includes video clips for each exercise so I can refresh my memory on form.
The greatest value has been that Amanda’s PT expertise and quick feedback has allowed me to safely work through minor issues. That has kept me on track, neither pulling back too much nor pushing too hard and causing reinjury.

After a 3-month program produced significant improvement in strength and flexibility, I signed up for another, confident that I’ll soon be safely enjoying activities that I’ve avoided for years.

In the Spring of 2022, I visited an orthopedic doctor seeking relief from pain in my left shoulder. Routine activities such as reaching across my body to fasten my seat belt or reaching up to grab something from a cabinet were fairly painful. I could have might have been able to suffer through such pain but the level of pain experienced during exercise was more severe and presented a real obstacle to continuing such activity. I tried to simply avoid the shoulder as much as possible during workouts, in the hope it would simply get better, but it never did improve and was becoming a significant restriction.

So, the doctor took X-rays and gave me a cortisone shot but the relief was only temporary (maybe a week or so). The doctor then ordered an MRI and it revealed a partial tear in my left shoulder and one or two less notable issues. As a result, the Dr.advised me that the pain might be relieved through physical therapy but, if not, surgery would be necessary.

I had never been to physical therapy for anything and I did not really understand how PT was going to fix a tear, but I had no other options so I simply followed the doctor's advice and visited Restore Physical Therapy (RPT).

The consultation with RPT lasted one hour during which RPT reviewed the MRI report with me and undertook their exam of the shoulder. RPT concluded that it was unlikely that my pain was a direct result of the torn ligament.

I had not considered this, I simply assumed the pain must be a result of the torn ligament. But based on this observation, if PT was ineffective and surgery recommended, I would now want to ensure, before proceeding with the ordeal of surgery, that repairing the ligament would in fact relieve my pain!

In any event, RPT expressed confidence that my pain could be relieved by strengthening the muscles in my shoulder and increasing the flexibility of my shoulder and spine and gave me an estimated timetable for doing so.   So I scheduled 6, one-hour, sessions over 8 weeks and was given a number of exercises to perform on my own, daily. And I was given a workout routine that would permit me to continue my general exercise program without the risk of further harm to my shoulder.

By the end of the sessions, the therapy proved effective. The pain associated with everyday activities was relieved and my general exercise regimen is now limited only by activities that place extreme forces on my shoulder such as lifting heavy weights or activities that require significant shoulder rotation in combination with heavier weights. But as I continue to strengthen my shoulder such limitations are diminishing. Surgery, which was a real concern, is no longer needed!

I drafted this account of my experience with RPT in the hope that someone in a similar situation may find it useful

I became aware of Restore Physical Fitness at the same time I joined Olympia Fitness & Performance. While training at Olympia, I received a recommendation to try Restore for elbow pain I was having trouble getting rid of - with that, I set up a series of appointments with Dr. Ross Levine for a consultation and subsequent therapy sessions. Each session consisted of thorough explanations, a variety of applicable exercises and movements to improve my situation which evolved each time, and a plan of care for at home, between sessions. Meanwhile, I was getting all this from a world class karate practitioner as well! My pain is now resolved, and I'm back to doing the activities I enjoyed before, thanks to Restore. Highest recommendation.
